  1. Derp.

Google searched your images to find it, lol.  Interestingly.. I did name my name for the concept of a necromancer back when diablo2 first came out.  So I guess it's fitting for me to resurrect old posts.

Anyway here's the post I made, might as well put it here and let that one die... again.  ^_^

    Hey all.  I'm SUMA's brother.

He has been without a computer for a week or two.  I just rebuilt him a beast of a computer that looks almost as awesome as his artwork.

I'll be delivering the computer to him this Saturday.  He misses you all and you can definately expect more artwork in the near future.  He talks to me all the time about his ideas and artwork and keeps sending me here to check out new sketches.  (I usually am too busy playing)  ^_^

Anyway, I just thought I should let you know he will never leave, and will never stop drawing.

@Suma, I love the most recent Rainbow Rings WF thing you did.  I hope they add her head at least into the game.  Maybe for Nova if nothing else.  I would be a happy camper!

  3. So they fixed my stasis chambers and I was able to make four puppies with the splices I had waiting.  Here are the results.  The one on the left was the first splice put in, right is the second.  The top row is the parents, bottom row is the children.  Left child was first, right was second.

I tried a billion things to find Shadowfang's pattern.  No can do.. All 3 of his colors are the blackest black.  He's either a tiger or a lotus, though.

Edit: The grix dogs were both Raksa.  I was only breeding those with hopes of all black with blue lotus or all blue with black lotus.  Oh well.

  4. My first time breeding. Thankfully I got two lotuses out of it. Hopefully they turn out bulky rather than anorexic tho, lool

Used the same sequence of imprints as depicted in the picture below for both pups. (Sunika in slot 1, Sahasa in slot 2) Though I am unsure if it matters.

    wlODy7l.png

Ooo, Grats on the color switch for that Sahasa baby boy.  Blue lotus pattern with black color 1 and rusty color 2.

  5. If it died, you were away an extended period of time.  They take a long time to die of neglect, and if you are going to be gone that long that's what stasis is for.  If you don't want to wait 3 hrs, that's what 10 pl is for.  Making plat isn't hard, and it's also for another thread.

Also, don't be so literal.  The dog is a living thing IN-GAME.  What they did is extremely easy to manage and makes total sense.  People just want to complain about something I guess..  Maybe I should stop feeding the troll.

  6. Very nice chart. Could benefit from a bit more clarity in font and distinct generations, but love where you're going with it

It's actually a very large image and once you get used to the font it's not so bad.

Unfortunately my breeding for this chart has been halted due to the bug currently in the system.  It won't let me get new stasis slots.  I bought a bundle to breed for an all black with blue lotus pattern, but the stasis didn't show up.  I purchased a stasis by itself, and that didn't show up either.

I'm currently waiting in the Q for my support ticket to be handled so I can continue breeding.

  7. I just think the current system is far far far too harsh on the player. I love my kubrow but it is annoying that i have to be nervous every mission, because i dont want her to die and lose loyalty i can seldom replace....

The command system mentioned in this thread is an extremely good idea they are our war pets. What kind of war pet do you know of that doesnt take and follow commands....

Furthermore for the love of god speed up how fast they attack and how often etc. They are war dogs they need to be attacking just as much and as often and ferocious as the tenno in there warframes do...

I know some hate the random breeding traits thing but i like it it actually adds value to your dna prints. If everyone got to choose there would be no point in imprinting dna. You just created another job for our economy and i thank you DE for it we have farmers and now breeders. Improvements could be made i think there should be separate imprint counters 2 for the owner that way of they wanted they could clone ther kubrow to keep its genetic line going and 2 to sell or something like that. It kinda sucks only being able to sell 2 prints when id like to keep 1 for myself for breeding purposes. Breeders dont sell all there pups they keep 1 or 2 to continue the line but thats hard to do when we only get 2. Im sure we can figure out something to fix that shouldnt be too hard.

    1) They only die if you take a bran new Kubrow out into a high level area.  If you bring it to a low level area it will gain 5-8 levels in the first mission.  Getting it a decent enough level to equip some important mods are kind-of the point to survivability.  You wouldn't survive without your shields, neither will the dog.  If you die.. you won't survive without the bleedout-timer.. neither will the dog.  I've never had a dog over level 10 die..

    2) It's an alien dog that was bread for tasks.  Some dig, some hunt, some stealth, etc.  It does it's job perfectly, why would you want to bog down your own action by having to give a Kubrow instructions.  I sure don't.

    3) They attack again as soon as the animation is over.. if the first attack doesn't kill the thing on the first hit.  I think what you want is an ability on a kubrow that lets him pounce and then bite repeatedly or something.  Because currently they do attack fast.

    4) on this point.. we couldn't agree more.  ^_^  Although I'm ok with either keeping the two prints for myself or selling them and not needing more than two, I do love the random aspect.  This is why in my post I suggested that we only be able to "pick what we want" based on the splices we input.

  8. The fact you're Kubrow can die is just irritating and annoying. There's better ways to encourage us to log in. I thought i'd log in today and try to get back into the game, then it pops up in my inbox that my Kubrow is dead and well, i'll go play something else where my items and equipment don't degrade and then disappear. Especially when it's something you can buy.

It's not that hard to put it in stasis when you leave.  When you come back to the game he'll be ready to go right where he was. Items and equipment aren't alive.  Your post is ignorant on so many levels.

you misunderstand. i am not complaining, it is a concern and hope that there will still be a reason to continue breeding kubrows after the addition of the customization. i think the addition of customization is sweet and can't wait for 14.5

don't criticize others posts if you have no uderstanding of the point they are making.

I have been breeding Kubrow with Suma and many of them in that "tree" are my dogs.  We've been able to make some pretty awesome things through breeding.  With the new customization it's just going to feel so cheapened when people can just pick the dog they want without any breeding.  I like to bring my epic looking dog into a mission and show him off.  It's an achievement I've worked for.  Soon nobody will even care because anyone can have anything.  The achievement is being taken away.

There are two ways I can forsee this being neat and interesting.  1) If they only allow you to customize using only body/pattern/colors of the parent splices you are using.  OR 2) If it's so that when you splice you get to only set one aspect at a time per breeding attempt.  Let's say you choose for color1 to be the orange, or maybe you want to make sure the lotus symbol stays.

I'm excited as well for the new changes, but I also hope that all of my hard work breeding is either still going to be worth it somehow, or that they seriously reimburse me for it.  Selling puppies/adults for 50 plat might work.

  9. here is a better interpretation of our blueprint, follow the arrows. im sorry its kinda confusing.

    D78Z7Tc.jpg

My newest one in that is Gariella, and since it's a copy of Gargamel I'll be breeding it with Ifrit in the hopes of getting a Darth Maul like my brother.  If I'm unsuccessful in breeding myself one of those I'll be using both splices of Darth Talon to hopefully get one of those.

Definately the sexiest dog I've seen.

We're also going to try that combo with Graka Jr. in the hopes of getting a gold face with all back fur and lotus.

  10. Baby:

    Kubro Type: Hurass

    Gender: Female

    Height: Medium

    Build: Skinny

Pattern: Black lotus in the face, black stripes, chest and belly black. Light green around Lotus mark and legs.

    Here the baby:
    Ja6xM9.jpg

    Incorrect good sir.

This is a black brownish-grey lotus, with a jet black color 1 and green color 2

You can always tell the color of the pattern on lotus because it's the color that touches the nose.  The face color also includes the chin.  So color one is the face/chin color and includes his toes and body stripes for the most part.  Color two is the main body color.

Also, very nice green color!  It's too bad it wasn't a black lotus with greey face and green, that would've looked much better I think.

  11. Okay from what i have tested the order of the type does matter as well as the type itself

Say you want a sahasa and you have sahasa and huras put the sahasa in the first slot for imprint.

Just what i have seen in 3 breeding's.

    here is dady

    Sanuka male

    largest I have seen

Bred from sanuka female and huras dad

lotus print with blue orange and some black

    Mother

    sahasa thing medium height

    Lotus markings

baby sahasa lotus markings mixed from both colors

    http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/41975171635578958/5F861AE8F2322AF2E68C6723DFB475293C2649B7/

So Father was, dark grey lotus with brown color 1 and blue color 2

mother was, red lotus with blue color 1 and silver color 2

baby was red lotus with brown color 1 and blue color 2

This would probably mean that red shares dominance with black on the pattern colors and it's 50/50 on which you get.

Also, there's absolutely no surprise that brown overwrote the blue on color 1, but rather interesting that you kept the blue color 2 over silver.

Edit: I would have expected you to get a dark grey lotus with brown color 1 and silver color 2.

  12. FYI there is also another pattern, and I'm unsure of it's dominance.

It has the head being a solid color 1, and tail also color 1, with an arrowhead looking shape on his face that matches the rest of his body (color 2), and stripes on his feet, the same color as color 1.  So far I can't find one of these that actually has 3 colors.

I know SUMA has one with a black head and red body with a black tail and black stripes on the feet.  If you look at my screenshots under my gold lotus faced medium picture, the smallest one on the left has a grey head with a green body and a green patch on his face.

Here's a direct link to it.

I think I named this one puke and put my puke in stasis. ^_^

  13. Op has it pretty much down.  Many posters are still only posting color thinking there is no pattern, but THERE IS.

You need to look careful.  Every Kubrow has a pattern, pattern color and 2 fur tints (3 colors), and an eye color.

    Patterns include:

    Tiger (recessive)

    Lotus (recessive)

    Hyena (dominant)

Fox (dominant)  (as seen in the Huras codex)

Splicing two recessive patterns will result in EITHER of the two randomly.  Ie, breeding tiger/lotus will get you either pattern and it's not for sure.  Likewise with dominants.

If you have a lotus and you want to keep it.. dont' breed it with the hyena/fox patterns.

Colors can be any color for any of the 3 slots and follow a paper scissors rock sort of dominance as follows:

(Rarest)  Blue, Red, Black, Brown, Orange, Gold, Green, White (dominant commons)

    {This color range isn't exact, but it is currently to the best of my knowledge and experiments}

I'm not entirely sure where the grey's fit in, because most commonly the greys are actually desaturated colors.  I've seen greys replace golds and greens or browns.  I've also seen white replace almost anything and I feel it's one of the most dominant colors.

For patterns I feel that black is probably more dominant than white, and I've seen white lotus symbols change to black or any color tiger stripes turn to black tiger stripes.  However white for the fur tints always seems to override black.

Research:  I'm sure many of you know my brother SUMA from the artwork forums.  Together we've been compiling a "family tree" of our Kubrows and have been sharing between us splices to try and figure things out.  He's been keeping a rather beautiful graphic of our Kubrow family tree, but I'll leave it up to him to share it.  Together with our findings and a quick read of this thread has lead to the observations of my post.

Better reporting of your data I think should include a picture followed by color/print and color 1 and 2.  For instance I have a black lotus kubrow with red and blue.. that being a red color on his face (behind the lotus) and blue fur on his body (color 2).  I also have a black tiger pattern with silver (color 1) and a tanish belly/toes (color 2).  Or a white tiger pattern with black body (color 1 and color 2).

As an example, here's one of my breedings to test out blue dominance.

    Kubrow 1: Duchess (female Sahasa)

    pattern: Black Lotus

    Color 1: red face

    Color 2: blue body

Build: normal  (as opposed to husky and scrawny)

    Kubrow 2: Spike (male Raksa)

    Pattern: Black Lotus

    Color 1: blue face

    Color 2: orangish brown fur

    Build: normal

    Baby Result: Ifrit (male Sunika)

    Pattern: Black Lotus

    Color 1: red face

    Color 2: orangish brown fur

    Build: unknown

This was test led to the obvious, blue is one of the rarest colors.  This test was done on the 29th.

Secondly, this proved incorrect the silly notion that the sex of your parents affect the kids that's floating on this thread.  Same goes for the temperament.  These are derived randomly every time.

Conclusion: The only thing affected by splicing is the things that you SEE when looking at the splice.  That is: pattern, pattern color, color 1 and 2, and eye color.  Splicing is simply for cosmetic means.  If you get the look you want but not the right temperament, then splice it and rebreed it.

As for the picture, I do not feel comfortable posting his work without his permission, plus I believe he wishes us to get more results before posting our findings.  I'll let him know about this thread and he can post it if he wants or after he polishes the picture more.

You can however see screenshots of my dogs on my steam account:

    http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198045371731/screenshots/

As the dogs grow up and as I get more in, these pictures are updated.

If you have any questions, don't expect an answer.  I generally lurk or play, and rarely post.  :)

EDIT: P.S. If you wish to friend me on steam and donate a splice to the research I will get the egg/core and breed it.  In return I will give you a splice of the child result.  Don't friend me and ask for my splices.  They aren't being traded out.  Thanks.

  14. i can see a few similarities between this and excal, but how are y'all gettin volt?

General rule of thumb.. don't feed the trolls.

If it didn't look even remotely similar to something.. then it wouldn't belong in the game.

The concepts you do are nearly 90% unique and 10% pull back to the originals and that's exactly what it should be.  It's like you said with the volt picture with the circles on it.  People try to sound observant and only prove that they didn't see the art, they only looked at it.

Keep up the good work, bro.

After you do a few more I might have to pic my fav and have you turn it in to a t-shirt for me.  :)

  15. this one is for JRMC, thought it would be a fun one to do so here it is :D enjoy!

    Volta...CHUUUUU!!!

    Yup

That's just about as epic as it can be.

  16. You were right, bro.  HAH.  And ya a weapon comeing out of the darkness would have been neat.  But I think the dark tendrils look better the way they are.

+1 to original helm.  I like it way better.

Wow, he really doesn't look anything like Ash at all.  Kudos for proving it to the people who think they are cool by comparing it to current wfs.

  17. So what would this frame be about? Example of playstyle or even powers?

By the way I'm not ranting on your post phonebox.. Your question just got me thinking about the below paragraph.

It's not our job to come up with stats.  We give them concepts and they fit it into the game how they want.  I think it's silly that people try to name stat suggestions.  Although I do think it's fun to draw possible skill conclusions and let them go with it if they want.

That being said - You were right, bro.  It looks pretty awesome.  Didn't your dark character from when we were in high school use dark powers somewhat like this picture.  I can see the dark tendrils coming up from the ground.  That's kinda neat.

Here's some of my power ideas if you feel like drawing more of him:

    - remember the powers of dark from CoX?  the one that has dark tendrils coming up from the ground would be neat.. like Ice Wave but dark tendrils for those who didn't play CoX.

    - another great power could have tendrils come from the ground and grab the enemies arms to hold him in place for X seconds (cc move)

    - fear.. aoe makes the enemy crouch over in terror for a while..   aoe cc

    - aoe dmg, darkness crush.  darkness appears overhead in a cloud, WF drops his hands and it falls onto enemies doing dmg.

    - self armor, covers himself in inky blackness, which boosts his armor.. similar to iron skin with dif graphics.

    aaaaand back to playing. :P

  18. f7bx.jpg

Finally got a chance to go check out the artwork you told me about, bro.

That picture looks a lot better colored.  I still think the other head with the jewel on it would be a good prime version, but you did say you were doing this for people who liked this head.

I love the fact that you put our Clan's Emblem on it.  +5 pnts.  ^_^
