  2. Heh, I could dig that. Something would be needed for the warframe's behavior when you mind control something though, if it remains in place transference-style, it would be terrific for non-camping missions. Maybe a Excal umbra-like behavior ? Or it follows the NPC you're mind-controlling while casting something.
  3. ... It is, I'm not sure if it's a parameter issue but it is. You see the alerts, you type T and you can answer. It happens sometimes when I contact someone to buy something, they reply "1min" or something like that, which is enough to understand they've seen the message & they're in a mission. If you want to type something longer (which I usually do in the Clan channel when I'm doing something), Void Mode Operator makes the deal (Operator - Ctrl - T, and your operator is stuck in Void mode without having to maintain Ctrl). On the other hand, you took my answer a bit too aggressively for such a trivial matter, so I'm not sure I want to engage in that conversation any further. Seems like that topic was just a rant to which you don't want any reply anyway.
  4. What do you mean ? The chat is visible during missions, and most of the time you have more than enough time to just reply them "I'm in a mission", which they'll understand very easily
  5. You also have to consider that we can't just spawn new mechanics every time someone needs something. 1- Dev time, so priority is given depending on whatever DE feels is required. Something that "hurts no one" but also helps 2 people will definitely not be top-tier priority 2- What you think is just an easy-to-dev solution to your problem might not be that easy to implement without reworking the code, which we all know is pretty much a spaghetti salad right now. Adding a hold-to-spam functionality might break half of the game for all we know, and how would that even work with hold-tap things ? Nobody knows Here your idea seems extremely situational. I'm on the forums since 2016? maybe, it's definitely not a trendy topic, and when we ask why (to better understand the need), it seems it's only for Ember's Inferno in SO, where you also state you're one-shotting everything, so basically you request an "improvement" that would allow you to spam Inferno to 0 enemies 80% of the time. And we're not even talking about ESO as it has spam-prevention mechanics, only the standard SO that gives 0 affinity compared to its elite counterpart.. Of course we're OK for accessibility improvements, but if "SO Ember" is the only justification, then this is very likely too situational for DE to even think about implementing. And to conclude (this is mostly for @MaxTunnerX) : We're on a forum and none of us are Devs. We're free to discuss and have adverse opinions. If you wish to see a forum where someone posts an idea and everyone is just like "+1", then that's not a forum goal and this is all but constructive. Edit: You also have to think about botting. Not saying it's impossible to program something to spam an ability every X seconds right now, but having a hold-function to do that would increase botting by one billion % considering anyone could just leave an object on the ability shortcut. So this would require additional dev to prevent that from happening.
  6. The only ability I can think that would benefit from that is Garuda's 3, which you have to cast 2 to fully replenish your energy... For all other abilities, you can "spam" for sure, but what for ? If you need a hold, I hope it's for more than 2 or 3 uses but more for like 10 in a row, when does that even happen ? If you do that a lot, maybe it's more efficient to drop a bit of efficiency for some power instead, and one cast will be more powerful than 10
  7. I guess the goal is not for the Circuit to obsolete other content, and that's why all Warframes are not available there.
  8. I'm not against more complex warframes. But unlike many people, I do not equate "complex" with "interesting". Octavia's mechanism for example, where you have to sync your actions with your tune, sounds good on paper, is more complex than "Use X to benefit from effect", yet most people just put a braindead song to activate the effects passively without having to think too much about it. And once again, just because you need to have a PhD in quantum mechanics to understand the 347 interactions between the 4 abitilies of your warframes + its passive doesn't mean it will necessarily be an interesting or challenging-to-play warframe. It can still be braindead, because most likely 345 of these interactions will be overshadowed by the other 2 and you'll stick to them.
  9. It can be godlike all you want, if it's barely used, it means it's not fun and should be reworked. If you need a PhD in quantum mechanics to play a warframe efficiently and yet it's still 0 fun provided, then people will not play it, then DE should make it enjoyable to play. Some simple warframes are boring and OP, some complex warframes are awesome but underpowered, some complex warframes are awesome and OP, some simple warframes are awesome and OP, and we have Inaros, simple, boring and underpowered
  10. Convoluted doesn't mean good. The most used warframes are usually the simplest ones
  11. In fact, the Circuit is the easier place to trigger it. On-shot decrees apply to the Amp, and the presence of low-armor enemies (Corpus mostly) make it extremely easy & quick to self-revive there.
  12. I think it would be a nightmare for archon shards inventory management among different frames. Does your proposal imply that if you want to socket 5x Amber Shards in all 3 configurations, you need 15x Amber Shards ? Because that's the only way to implement that without being a total pain in the ass on the development side, which is also what made Warframe/Companion shared mods garbage before they reworked that. And if that's indeed the plan you have, then it would have a big negative impact on 95% of the playerbase, to benefit 5% tops

  14. The side objective for Kullervo is absolutely the same as the Kullervo's main objective. Just go to the hold and talk to the guy. I don't think we're talking about the same thing there
  15. ? Kullervo's hold is there every other spiral (so half of the time), and it can be done as side objective too
  16. I guess the problem is their lack of availability. With such pathetic drop rate in a limited game mode, it means a normal player will probably not have those arcanes at Ranks 4-5 before a year. So if they're overpowered... It means plenty of people will complain. Their solution to that ? Make them lame. Would have been nicer to just make them more easily obtainable but heh
  17. I've done Kahl once and I decided to never do that again. I'm not a slave to min-maxing to the point I'll do every content even if they're atrocious. And to be honest ? You will see how many people are minmaxing slaves when Shards will be removed from Kahl. They will very likely go from "many people are running it weekly" to "10 people are running it weekly"
  18. Apologies, it's true that I only considered Assimilate with the augment, where indeed the only downside is the slow and no weapon restriction. Revenant is another topic though - just because a garbage warframe with 0 identity has a broken ability doesn't mean it would be good for the game that all warframes have the same thing. Otherwise, just "because Revenant", we could ask all Warframes' damage reduction abilities to be boosted to 100% DR. Would it be good ? Nah So, accounting for Nyx in her vacuum, the drain makes sense. It could be tweaked in values, cap, internal cooldown, anything okay, but I think it's good for the game to not have a toggleable full invulnerability with negligible downsides. And yes that means Revenant should be changed but that's another story (it's only played for his 3, so the nerf will need to come with a rework). Unless what you're asking is for Nyx to become Female Revenant ? 3 useless abilities and 1 broken one ? Would that make her "good" (in terms of entertainment) or just "meta"
  19. Yup on the principle I understand, and I would support, but I think it's a necessary "evil". Otherwise that's straight up complete invulnerability with no downside other than slow moving (which is barely a downside really) that would be extremely easy to maintain forever, trivializing most high-end content. But even with that "limitation", I feel like you barely feel it. If you build your Nyx around Assimilate, you'll have enough duration (and/or efficiency) to not have any problem ever. Maybe against levels 6k+ ? Don't know, didn't try, but doesn't it make sense that it's not complete immunity to everything with literally no downside ?

  22. I'm not sure I'm in favor of that tbh. Maybe adding it to the chat window (next to the typing field) so you can know very quickly without having to rely on someone spamming the chat. But a full blown clock somewhere on the UI would be unnecessary. Usually, the games which have these additional elements (clock, calendar) are the games with timed events that you don't want to miss out. We could argue that open-world cycles, sorties and everything else that's on a timer rely on that but I don't feel like it would improve anything tbh. The reason given is not valid (missing appointments), I mean, the next step is to have post-its integrated into Warframe and a diary with the details of your bank or local shop ?
  23. Yup, that was always a weird design choice to begin with. Both abilities are cool, but indeed the Bastilles are ruined by this force-Vortex thing
  24. Well that's definitely far from silly, considering DE has already done that themselves with Mirage's clones (that "vanish" when they're in your direct field of view). And yes, some shoulder attachments are really big and start obstructing too much the view so that would be a great change.
  25. ... because you very rarely connect just 1 millisecond before going to sleep ? Most of the time you just... connect at the very beginning of your gaming session (weird idea I know)
