  1. Hello,

Not sure if this has been reported before, but I figured I'd post it anyways. I was doing Iota Temple, Earth Proxima, and my squad made it to the end, all we needed to do was destroy the reactor, but the door into the reactor room wouldn't open. Both of us tried to go in to no avail.

  2. Not sure if this came about with The Old Blood, but I just attempted a bounty for trapping a coildrive, which I've never had an issue with before, and the coildrive spawned and got stuck on one of the random pipes that are scattered about the Corpus structures.

Edit: I just attempted the same bounty again. The coildrive section happened in the same area, but the coildrive instead spawned at the top of the hill. However, despite this, I was still unable to complete the bounty, as the coildrive was randomly driving in circles, almost like it couldn't find the path it was supposed to take, and then it got stuck on a light pole. I couldn't get my recording software up quick enough to catch the circling, but I did get it stuck on the light pole.

Early 2018 called, where they tried something not unlike that - taking some time out to try and fix the game.. Over the course of that year, Warframe's general player curve (line of best fit within the peaks and troughs) turned downward, at least on steam. I'm not too worried because this has happened before, again on steam, but still.

Oh no, a few players left because DE stopped giving us new content for a couple months-- oh wait, they already do that! Maybe they should focus a bit harder on it, next time. We've been seeing teaser after teaser of a new player experience rework, of The New War, of Empyrian, and we've not seen any of it. They're overpromising, and underdelivering, on top of all the other issues we see within the game.

  4. To start this lengthy post, I'd like to say that I will probably get flamed and receive a lot of negativity, but I hope that I can explain myself in a way that will make everyone seriously consider the future of the game, and maybe we can start seeing something change. I don't hold very high hopes of this happening, but I love Warframe, and the potential that it has.

Unfortunately, that's all that it has. Potential. Warframe is a game full of potential, with the developers squandering that potential on useless filler features, the most recent of which being the Shawzin. Warframe holds a reputation of being one of the best free to play games of all time, and I still believe that it is. However, it has a long way to go before it can be considered a truly "great" game. I understand that Warframe is free. I understand that DE is a third party developer and a fairly small studio, however there is no excuse for the direction they have been taking the game. I've never seen a developer care as much about shadows and cloth physics as Steve has, when he has far more pressing issues, like the horrible enemy scaling, total lack of an end-game reward system, terrible new-player experience, and multiple large content updates to be working on. Just recently, in their rush to please the masses, they decided that instead of holding to their original plan to release Gauss and Grendel together, they instead pushed Gauss out because Grendel was, "too far off from being ready," or something dumb like that, assuring us that they're still best friends, even though Gauss left Grendel in the dust with this update.

I could go on and on about DE rushing updates, DE not giving us a proper end-game, DE's tendency to implement bugs as "features," etc, etc, but really, I'm here to suggest a potential solution, assuming DE cares to try to fix the many issues that players are having across Warframe.

Digital Extremes needs to take a break from forcing content, because that's just what it is. They're forcing content, they're out of ideas, and they're taking far too long to release the content we get promised. TennoCon 2018 promised Railjack and The New War. It is now September 2019, and we've not seen either of those updates released, and we won't until the end of 2019. This is RIDICULOUS. What has DE been up to for over a year? The "hotfixes" and "updates" we've received in the past 16 months can't possibly be what's holding them back. They had a playable mission for Railjack in 2018. But, I digress.

What I am proposing is a break from forcing content, and instead turning their focus to fixing the gamestate. The game has a horribly confusing new-player experience. The game has literally no end-game reward system for players who want to min-max and get everything they can out of their frames. The game has horrible enemy scaling, where any frame without invisibility, damage reduction, immunity, or some other form of absorbing insane amounts of damage is just rendered useless after a certain point. I'm proposing an Operation Health, for anyone familiar with Rainbow Six Siege, and Ubisoft's season dedicated to fixing the game. Warframe needs to be fixed. Give us proper damage/armor scaling for enemies. Give us rewards for high tier players. Give new players a chance to learn the game on their own, give us a means to find information without relying on the wiki. Give us a game, DE, not a trainwreck of broken parts strung together loosely with a frame and some nodes.

    Sincerely,
    A concerned Tenno.

  5. Here's a link to each of the wiki pages for the Loki Prime and Volt Prime Vault items. You can find the drop locations and chances by clicking the [Drop Locations] dropdown button. And as @Tanayy said, you can also obtain them from the [Relic Packs] from your Syndicates.

  6. To expand upon what the previous posters have replied, Warframe accounts are connected to the PSN/XBL account they are associated with, not the system they were created on. Therefore, all you have to do is log in on your account on another PS4 and you'll keep all of your progress.

  7. The above posts pretty much sum it up. If I remember correctly, Umbra is even better than the Founder-exclusive Excalibur Prime. The Umbra mods that come with him and the Sacrificial melee mods that come with his Skiajati are really nice to have, too.

DE also just added Umbra Forma, available through Nightwave, which polarizes a slot with the polarity for the Umbral and Sacrificial mods, so you can use them at half capacity on other frames and weapons.

  8. The trick with Inaros and Chroma are the insane amounts of armor they get with fairly beefy health pools. Rhino is decent only for Iron Skin, he's not as much of a tank as people think. As for your question, Most other frames benefit greatly from the combination of Arcane Grace and Arcane Guardian, however Adaptation is best used on frames that can already tank beefy hits, as it takes time for the resistance to build up. You have to take multiple beefy hits before the damage gets mitigated, not to mention that Adaptation only affects one damage type at a time, which, through the last testing I saw, isn't even always the largest damage value being dealt.

So, for a more direct answer, no, they will not become "immortal", however it's still recommended to use at least Arcane Grace for the regeneration, while Guardian can stack a bit of armor for some extra mitigation.

Don't forget that Nightwave was launched on Feburary 27, 2019. May, 15 would make it even weeks. What is bonkers is that the reset of weekly tasks is Sunday night (8pm est.).

Ah, that would make sense, just seems odd that they would do the resets like that.

  10. I feel your pain, Tenno. I, too, am working on catching up on Nightwave.

Let's do a bit of logical reasoning and math to figure it out.

    It seems odd that they would end it on the 15th, since the next week would start on the 13th, but if they did, then judging by the current week's challenges, and the fact that each week seems to start with 2 bonus daily challenges on top of the one for that day, then there's typically;

2 Elite Weeklies worth 5,000 each for a total of 10,000

8 weeklies worth 3,000 each for a total of 24,000

9(?) total dailies worth 1,000 each for a total of 9,000

All of this adds up to a total of 43,000 standing, which would equate to 4 total rank-ups, and potentially another depending on your current standing. So, if you end at rank 25 with 7,000 or more standing after all topf this week's challenges, you should have enough standing to make it to 30 after next week's challenges.

This math also assumes you don't capture any fugitives, obviously

  11. Well this thread flew off the loop a bit in a day, but this isn't a whine thread, by any means. The Wolf fight is literally not fun. It's a bullet sponge fest for no reason other than to say that it is, I guess if you like throwing slashes/bullets at a thing for 5 minutes or cheesing it with one specific setup such as valkyr, which I've heard is really good for him, is fun for you, then that's cool. Most people don't find that fun, and the few that do certainly don't define the majority. I'm all for grind, as I said in my original post, but only if the grind proposes some sort of challenge, which the wolf fight does not. It's just throwing bullets at the thing until the thing falls over.

  12. The question isn't whether it's complicated for the developers, it's whether it would be complicated for players to pick up and understand easily. Right now, Warframe has a fairly comprehensive control system, while still being more complex than most other titles that are out right now. As I was reading your post, I found myself having to read and re-read most of your points to understand what you were trying to explain, which, in itself, shows a flaw in the system. Any control system for a game that is meant to be accessible to all players needs, at its core, to be easily grasped.

  13. To start with, I think I've fought the Wolf only a total of about 6 or 7 times since Nightwave started. The first time I fought it, I noticed the first grievance; He has Alloy Armor on top of Alloy Armor. Probably the tankiest possible combination of defensive layers. To continue this issue, he's immune to status effects, so armor stripping is impossible. There's no way to deal True Damage to him, since he's also immune to Slash procs, and because of all this, he typically takes a minimum of 5 minutes to kill, usually as long as 10 minutes.

These things combined with his seemingly massive health pool make this fight extremely long. Solo, it probably took me 5 minutes to kill him in the first couple weeks of Nightwave with a fully kitted Garuda with Rubico Prime, and most other times I've fought him have been within Helene or Hydron while leveling items, with a squad of people leveling items. However, one such time I was actually playing with my fully kitted Mag Prime with my 4 forma Rubico prime modded with Radiation and Cold damage, the two things that Alloy Armor is supposed to be weak to, and it took all of my ammo 3 full times and about 15 minutes to kill the Wolf, with squadmates chipping at him with their underleveled and undermodded items.

I was going to talk about how his damage is pretty high, too, but thinking about it again, it's really not that bad. It emphasizes not getting hit while dealing as much damage as possible to the Wolf. Pretty much the entire problem lies in how insanely, boringly tanky he is. Many games seem to have trouble understanding that making a "boss" mob extremely meaty is NOT the direction to go. The Wolf is NOT a fun fight, for anyone, except maybe the first time. After that, it's just a boring grind of alternating between dodging his abilities and dealing damage to him, which mostly feels useless unless you're using fully kitted gear with a fully kitted squad and a decent team of synergized Warframes, but seeing as how his spawns are entirely arbitrary, there's no real way to prepare for him in normal, daily gameplay. A boss like this deserves his own node/game mode, with his own loot tables and mission/story arc. However, as he sits now, it's just not fun to deal with.

Edit: Apologies, I just realized I posted this in the wrong subforum, if a mod or someone could move it to the correct spot, or allow me to re-post in the proper subforum, it would be appreciated.

  14. Let me save you the trouble of rewriting this for consoles. This entire system seems overly complicated and convoluted. I appreciate the premise of what you're trying to do here, by bringing back some of the old system while keeping the new system, but Warframe can be confusing enough as it is, and the last thing new players need is a daunting, overly complicated melee system on top of it all. Not trying to be rude, but I don't see anything like this being implemented for lack of simplicity.

  15. Before I get to explaining my stance on the nightmare of a grind that the Tatsu and Wise Razor is, a disclaimer. I've spent a lot of money on Warframe, I love Warframe, and I love the passion that Digital Extremes has for their product and their community.

That out of the way, the Tatsu grind and Wise Razor drop chance are ridiculous. For a Mastery Rank 7 item, the requirements of a total of 3,000 Oxium, which, to remind everyone, only drops from ONE unit type in the entire game, and in quantities as low as 6 to as high as 12 without a booster, which I'll be quick to remind everyone, not everyone has access to at all times. Not to mention the 100 Hespazym Alloy, which I managed to find about 15 of on my last mining expedition that only lasted about 30 minutes before I got frustrated at how little I found. The sheer amount of pointless time/grind walls in this game has been tolerable to this point, but honestly, this is ridiculous. I finally caved and bought the Tatsu with platinum. I'm MR21 nearly MR22 with nearly 2,000 hours in the game and I still don't have the kind of resources needed to build this monster of a sword.

Regarding Wise Razor, I apparently got really lucky because I found it solo after only about 10 minutes of farming the raknoids for it with Ash, however I've been trying to help my friend get it, who also bouht the Tatsu with platinum, by the way, and after two solid runs of about 20-30 mins each, we've only found a handful of useless mods that we've had for years now. If you're going to make us farm something mundane, at least have some decent rewards from it outside of "Reach" and "Organ Shatter."

To reiterate, I love Warframe, and I have no problem with grinding. My issue comes in when the grinding requires doing extremely mundane tasks like avoiding attacks from an invincible boss mob while farming the stupidly easy minions that it spawns every 15 seconds or so. I don't enjoy mindless grinding, and that's exactly what we keep getting with each new thing that's added.

    Sincerely,
    - A disappointed and concerned Tenno
