  1. I did actually draw concept art for this but I couldn't get it to upload to a URL... I'll try my best to paint a picture for you. DIDYMA (Twins translated to english from Greek) This is an idea I came up with thinking about the new Tome weapon type. DESCRIPTION: Tome is seperated into pairs, they both float by the left and right side of the warframe (and follow you around obviously) Left side deals cold damage (Primary fire button)/Right side deals heat damage (Aim weapon button, no you cannot aim with this weapon). Just like with Grimoire, it has a bar that builds up by dealing damage, when the bar fills, press middle button and the two pairs forge together, mixing elements and whichever colours each side were firing will be mixed into an appropriate colour (red + yellow = orange/blue + red = purple etc etc) For the next 15 seconds the book will maintain its form and your attacks will be greatly enhanced for the duration (Fire with primary fire button, aim button will end effect early and seperate the tome again) When the middle button is pressed (or whichever is relevant outside of PC) an AoE shockwave is cast around the warframe also dealing damage. FURTHER DETAILS: That's the basics of what this weapon does out of the way, now I can paint a picture of how this weapon looks/animates. When firing either side of the tome, the animation will be of the warframe thrusting the respective arm out (like casting a spell) imagine reaching out with your hand opened up, then you would twist your arm 90 degrees so that the hand will rotate accordingly (anti clockwise with left arm/clockwise with right arm) in response the respective side of the tome will lunge forward, and create a pulse blast which will cause it to recoil back into original position. When pressing the middle button (or whichever is appropriate on console) Didyma is forged together, the warframe will clap its hands together, this motion will command the book to violently merge together, creating the AoE shockwave. With the new enhanced attack, the warframe will stretch both arms out, hands again opened up, the animation will alternate between both hands opened out neutrally, and both hands rotated at a 90 degree angle facing away from both. With each cast the arms are retracted and thrusted out each time, again the combined book will lunge forward, fire a much larger, brighter pulse beam and recoil back into position. Visually, Didyma will look old and tattered, almost falling apart (from all that violent combining no less) when combined, there will be a glowing circle in the center, the books spine is missing, with just the many pages themselves being held together by seemingly nothing, so the tome has a very flat appearance with writing and sketches all over the pages, surrounding the glowing circle at the center. The tome is also quite large, About three times the size of the Grimoire. When seperated, the circle splits into two semi-circles, the respective colours of each side will be dictated according to the colours chosen in the appearance menu for both energy colour slots, and these colours will combine accordingly when Didyma is combined visually for both the attacks, and the glowing circle. (Red + Blue = Purple etc etc) This of course means both the shockwave, and the enhanced attack will be the combined colour, and the seperated attack will be distinct between left and right attacks. SOUND DESIGN: This weapon has a focus on feeling powerful, so as a result, the pulse laser blasts will have a very deep, base like sound to them, which will become deeper when the tome is combined, the idea of the attacks sounding powerful is important as this weapon has a focus on being slower but hitting harder, and in real life, anything that is very large tends to have a lower pitch, collapsing glaciers, falling boulders, large freight trains, trucks, falling buildings etc etc, these things are slow yet powerful. GAMEPLAY: In terms of gameplay this weapon will have a lot of potential for creative play, with a lot of elemental combinations possible simaltaneously, so the status chance will of course be on the higher end. This weapon will have a slow base attack speed, but will compensate with high base damages, I think it is a weapon that has a lot of focus on visual and audible appeal, so slower but impactful attacks will be appropriate. When the book combines, the base damages are greatly enhanced for the duration, and the crit chance and crit damage is also greatly enhanced in this state. Thanks for reading if you got this far, please do give me your opinions on this weapon idea it's nice to hear what people think, good and bad.
