*SOLVED* So the game used to run perfectly fine on my computer with max graphics settings. However, over the past couple weeks, every time I try to launch it it will only run at 5fps max, which is quite impossible to play. I don't think this is a problem on my end because I haven't been having troubles with any other games, but there may be a factor that I'm overlooking. Can anybody think of a reason I have be having performance issues or is anybody else experiencing the same issue and is there anything I can try short of buying a new computer? I've already tried updating my graphics card drivers, but that clearly wasn't the issue. Any help would be appreciated. Here are the details of my computer.
Model: MSI GE72 Apache Pro
Graphics: Nvidia GTX970M
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700HQ @ 2.60GHz
64 bit operating system and processor
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD
Running Windows 10 Home
