  1. Speaking of communicating with the squad - does anyone know of any tricks for quickly switching voice chat priority on PS4 if you're in a PS4 party? A weekend or two ago my friends had the following: Three of us, and we wanted to run the sortie. Second phase was a spy mission. We have a rando bring an Inaros into the mission. He rushes to one of the vaults, and by the time I reach it, it's already on lockdown due to him triggering lasers. (It seems like one of the Corpus vaults closes off its hallways to any additional players if someone trips the lasers?) One of my clanmates tries to give him some extra time by popping an air support charge - he still fails. We go again. He still brings an Inaros. He rushes into a vault about 5 seconds after I start running it. I'm running an augmented Ivara so this particular vault is easymode (other than the fact that I kinda suck at Corpus hacks...) Go figure, he trips the lasers, mission fails again. We see that he's saying something in chat but can't hear what he's saying as we're in a party. He then leaves before any of us can pick up a keyboard and type at him or switch chat priority to hear what he's saying. I HOPE he was profusely apologizing for screwing us over twice. On the third run we get a trin (ugh, what's with randos bringing completely inappropriate frames into a sortie spy mission?) - at least he was smart enough to NOT screw things up for us. If you're not going to bring an appropriate frame to a sortie spy mission, PLEASE just stand there and mooch. We'd all much prefer a leech to failing the mission multiple times.
  2. It's a great idea overall, but requires a high level of squad cooperation - in an activity that you cannot queue up for specifically. Eidolon encounters have an associated bounty for queuing purposes (in addition to being doable without the bounty) Exploiter Orb encounters have an associated bounty for queuing purposes Ghoul encounters have an associated bounty (it seems like it is DE's intent for thermia fractures to be the Orb Vallis counterpart to ghoul invasions?) So why is there absolutely no way to queue up for matchmaking to do thermia fractures? Every time I've tried to do fracture runs since the first event, I've given up after 4-5 attempts because either: 1) No one else in the squad is doing thermia 2) I got dumped into a squad that just finished doing 4 fractures and is now disbanding. There seems to be some trigger in the matchmaking code such that if you load into a squad, and then the rest of the squad leaves, you will not have anyone matchmake into your session after the host migration.
  3. Some of the issues you raise are due to the fact that queuing up for a thermia fracture event puts you in the same exact pool as people going straight to the Orb for any non-bounty event. Or another way of saying it - there is no way to queue up for thermia fractures. You can only queue up for the Orb and hope that everyone else who is in your squad also wants to do the same thing you did. Rather than your perimeter suggestion, there's a simpler approach: Orb encounters have bounties Eidolon encounters have bounties Ghoul encounters in the Plains (the closest Plains equivalent to the thermia fractures) have bounties There are no bounties for thermia fractures and this is a major problem. Simply adding a bounty for these, even with minimal rewards for the purposes of dedicated activity queueing, would fix most if not all of the issues. I'm still at 36/100 points for thermia fractures and it's the third round now, and I suspect I'll be still at 36/100 at the end of this two week event. Why? Because in addition to thermia sealing being rather boring and unpleasant in general, finding a squad to do it is a major PITA because so many people just aren't motivated to do it/actively avoid doing it because it's no fun. Given how many other activities in the open world have associated activities, why don't thermia fractures? If DE added a way to queue up for thermia fractures specifically, it would be MUCH easier to get them done.
  4. The fact that the thermia bombs can one-shot many frames is annoying. If the mechanic were somehow altered such that you would be in big trouble if you ignored them, it would be fine - but one bomb will kill a Loki in seconds. (Why Loki? Because if he can get a radial disarm off in time - the bombs are taken out of the equation and the fight becomes easy. Also - while "random spawn" wolf was extremely tanky and highly resistant to any sort of Warframe abilities, it seems like the tactical alert variant can be armor-stripped by a Mag - either that or my kavat got lucky. I've only seen the Wolf take more than 30 seconds or so in tier 2, because somehow the entire squad was repeatedly dying despite there being no Molotovs (due to high range radial disarm spam)
  5. Had just the exact opposite happen to me earlier today in Mot. Me (after getting lasered for the 5th time): STOP USING THE DAMN LASERS. Guy spamming the lasers: "You're the only one getting hit by them" Me: That's because I'm the only one actually doing work. (I had 67% of damage at the end of the mission - dropped from 71 because I was yelling at him for murdering me repeatedly. He had 3) I will sometimes send someone a helpful hint if they seem to be not understanding a game mechanic. I will only yell at someone if they are engaged in behavior that is actively impeding the rest of the squad - void defense murderlaser spamming, bad limbos, long-duration Mind Control or similar things in defense missions.
  6. Also - When does the event end, and what is the deadline to finish farming for the Opticor Vandal? On PS4, there is no longer any countdown timer for this event. I don't know if it disappeared when the 6th anniversary event started or when Deck 12 unlocked, but it is definitely no longer there.
  7. "Eximus Stronghold" sortie? Or where did you find THAT many eximus?
  8. "Eximus Stronghold" sortie? Or where did you find THAT many eximus?
  9. As far as endurance challenges - 60 minutes is definitely getting to be a bit long, but I can also see how 20 might be too short, even something like 3x20 might be considered too easy - perhaps 40? However one exception is the "survival without using life support" - this has to be either eliminated or reduced to multiple 20 minute runs. Simply because, if you look on Reddit, there are NUMEROUS instances of trolling, where one griefer ruins a whole squad's run at 55 minutes. Or, as has happened to me multiple times - accidentally triggering a life support module when attempting to reload a weapon. It's way too easy to fail this particular challenge either via accident or via a griefer and have to do ANOTHER 60 minute run. Friend/clan challenges - how about making this friend/clan/alliance? For some this wouldn't be an improvement, but it definitely would for me. My clan warlord now works at a pharmacy so is frequently at work whenever I'm home/awake. Most of the rest of the clan is fairly inactive or also works weird schedules, but our alliance often has 5-6+ players online at any given time.
