There was NEVER a consecutive days requirement for daily tribute. It was like this since it was introduced, nothing was scrapped.

Yes there was. I used to play when there was.

No, you can't (currently) get the login reward on the mobile app. I am not sure if they are planning on it, but I would guess they are not.

I also would have thought not. Thanks.

Does it still count if you use the smart phone app?  I remember hearing you could use that to get your daily login but I don't have a smart phone so can't confirm it.

Would be nice. I will check tomorrow if you don't get an answer by then.

So you don't have like 2 minutes / day to log in once....

Nope, not every day. I sometimes stay out for a night or two. Go climbing and then camp out for the night, or go on holiday... Ignorant moron.

Thanks everyone else who corrected the fact that it is NOT consecutive days. That's a cheap tactic and I'm glad it was scrapped in favour of total days.

  5. Ok if it doesn't have to be consecutive days like I've been led to believe, then that's not so bad.

Oh no I just spent a minute logging in and out. I'll never amount to anything for the rest of my life.

Did I say anything about not being able to amount to anything if you can log in?

dude, of course they're going to offer things to encourage players to log in regularly, they're kinda a business you know? they want people to play, and the more someone plays the more likely that they'll either spend money or invite others to play with them.

thus it makes perfect sense for there to be exclusives from the daily tribute system

In that case, it should be HOURS played, not days logged in for 1 minute before logging out.

Maybe you don't know this, but it's not consecutive days logged in, just total days logged in. So if you don't log in for a day or two, or a week or whatever is no big deal. With time you'll get all the stuff you want.

If that's true, great. I'm yet to actually fail to log in consecutively thus far, but was told the streak ends if you don't make a day.

To be honest, you can just log in and log out. Only takes a minute or two.

That's not true though. If you can't access a computer with Warframe every day, then it takes a lot more than just a minute or two.

  7. It's not an incentive to play the game as much as you can. It's an incentive to log in every day. There's a huge difference, and giving exclusive rewards to players that are lucky enough to be able to log in for X amount of days is stupid.

It's a way for for DE to get us to keep playing their game, but achieves the exact opposite in my mind. It's a cheap and lazy tactic and should be banished in favour of a better system.

  8. Thanks everyone who corrected the fact that it is NOT consecutive days. That's a cheap tactic and I'm glad it was scrapped in favour of total days.

The only problem that springs to mind now is the temptation to give your password to others so they can log in for you. I speak from experience when I say not to do this.

I'm so confused. It hurts to be me.

Main problem is Excal's effective HP. You'll start having trouble at around Sortie 3 level enemies, since a level 100 Corpus Tech or a Grineer Bombard/Napalm/Scorch/Hyekka Master can pop all those shields/HP in one hit. Even earlier, if Sortie rolls with added elemental/physical damage modifier.

That is definitely the main problem, but again, I'm yet to reach that point. Still a fun build though!

If you are talking about invulnerability, i can give a near invunerability wihich is the max you can get because what you are looking do not exist anymore.

Equip kulstar, have 420/420 Shield/HP, around 250% Str, activate skill 2 and 3 in that order on Chroma and violá!

With that monster armor plus rage because of the Vex armor, ya will get like 1 to 2 damge to your energy ONLY unit lv 200.

    Peace.

Ok but what I'm using certainly exists. Unless I'm crazy. Am I?

Well, one thing hasn't changed since you left - the scaling of enemy armor is still broken past certain levels.

You can have decent fun with builds like your excal or similar life strike Inaros builds in any "normal" content (sorties included) and a bit beyond that, but when you pass the level 100 mark with enemies it starts to get silly.

At around level 140, you have to resort to something radical to keep dealing damage. One choice the is the good old 4x Corrosive Projections group setup. Obviously not working solo, but oh well. You can also strip armor with frame abilities (for example, Mag or Ash), too. That can take you further, limited by your frame's survivability.

Then there's the popular "finisher on demand" approach. If you don't want to resort to insta-kill mechanics of Covert Lethality, skills that open enemies to finishers will still last you quite a bit. Even a very poor choice against armor, an Impact weapon (Jat Kittag) can deal with high-level enemies if they're blind/deaf/stunned. Also works with Inaros rather well (vid below):

      Reveal hidden contents

Then there's one of the more efficient ways to circumvent silly scaling of armor - bleed procs. You'll want a status-heavy slash weapon (atterax being a popular choice) and any frame with Naramon focus abilities. Ash is a good idea because his passive further enhances bleed damage.

Still, when numbers start going crazy there's nothing that beats Covert Lethality. Again, you want invisibility, so either Naramon or a naturally stealth-capable frame (Ivara is ideal, since she has both stealth and a skill that opens enemies to finishers) and a dagger with Covert Lethality. At this point, enemy level barely matters, and the only thing that can kill you is AoE damage - enemies don't see you and die in one hit regardless of HP

Well darn... I've never gotten to face such high level enemies I will admit, but it would be nice if there was a more balanced way for things to scale.

I cant watch the video. Anyone mind telling me? Rage+lifestrike?

Exactly that, yes. I found it to be particularly effective with Exalted blade and some armour mods.

  15. 3 minutes ago, Reifnir said:

I think that Inaros suits the role of a base frame for "invulnerable" builds a bit better, since he's way tankier than Excal, has other options to replenish life and better Rage synergy because he has no shields. Yes, no exalted blade, but since Primed Reach is a thing, you can compensate by using a weapon with naturally long reach.

Or just grab a Covert Lethality dagger, switch Naramon on and spam blind+kill until you get bored. :D

I like the Inaros idea very much. I also like your second idea but it sounds a bit boring!

I'd probably say make your melee have just a pure damage build. Try get ahold of Primed Fury and Primed Pressure Point.

I'd also change Streamline for Primed Continuity or better yet a maxed Narrow Minded if I were you. Duration affects exalted blade, so having Duration at 50%, even though your Efficiency is at 175%, you're still not fully at 175% efficiency

Here's the chart you want to use to make sure you get it. Also having full efficiency will likely make this build work much better!
I'd also recommend trying to up your power strength.
    Perhaps try something like this:
Steel Charge,  Steel Fiber, Vitality, Rage, Intensify, Fleeting Expertise, Narrow Minded, Primed Flow,    Power Drift. +1 free slot to do with as you please.
Very high strength while having high Efficiency and Duration to keep Exalted blade going.

    latest?cb=20151022163549

Yeah the melee is definitely not ideal right now. I don't have all the required mods for a great melee setup as of yet but i'll work on them. Primed pressure and fury would certainly be nice.

Power strength would be nice, wasn't aware of the Power Drift mod, and will work on getting it now.

    Thanks!

Theres nothing stopping anyone advertising their channels on the Forums. Yes do it in the fan zone, but he's just showcasing this build he designed.

Its a very good build idea mate, however at high HIIIIGH levels (looking around 150-200), you're likely still just going t get one shot if you're running straight on health unless you're spamming channeled exalted blade, which will run out of energy.
Its great for about an hour run, but for anything super high end, it'll drop off.Z
    Nice one though.

Thanks for the input! Is there any particular amendments you would make? I'm assuming the addition of shields?
