  1. Damn, i just asked a genuine question, came back few days later and theres this lol
While nothing was said or done, i feel the love between those guys was very strongly hinted - now that i think of it DE might be testing ground with how community will react to such relationship. Wouldnt you say?

Btw if not all people are at the last objective, for example when one AFKs at Toxin Mixer, theres about 95% of the spawns not happening at the meteorite.

I could report it to bugs but its kinda whatever

Theres a limit to enemies in open world - if u reach it and dont kill anything nothing new wont spawn. Maybe thats the case

  3. Yall focus on the wrong thing - they say they rebalanced standing cause ppl dont wanna do escort and defence but looking at the new standing what ppl rly isnt doing is the Lephantis fight

In any case this makes it even worse as u gotta get through 3 boring and bearly rewarding stages to the fight ppl used to skip anyway

There goes the hype for Plague Star lol
(im a bit distanced since i still get close to 200 forma from initial PS)

  4. I personally don't get all the uproar - if someone just wants to skip story paying his own money who are we to say its right or wrong.

But i have an idea how it could be done differently as well. How about "rent-a-gear" for the duration of a new quest?
Player would receive all the essential gear along with mechanics tutorial (and a story summary? might be unwanted spoiler so perhaps optional) to be able to complete the new quest, after that the gear would be "returned" and player would be back where he began with the possibility to acquire it later permanently if he wanted.

This, imo, resolves the issue of new content being locked behind 10 years of quests while also there's no real pay2skip, only temporarily.

I want to try fractured blast, Ill be finally having a full STR+ 190 range build.

Tried it, after 3 min in simulacrum i subsumed smtg else :P

Apart from that ive been trying Thermal sunder and now trying Gloom, both seem pretty good. First to do aoe dmg to armorless enemies, especially infested which are a pain for Mag and second for general tankiness tho im having some energy issues due to my spammy build/approach

Other than abilities themselves - does anyone know are there any augments that change the ability enough that it might make them more viable for Mag?

I'm gonna bite the bullet for this but I think Frost's OG works well the way it is.

It doesn't provide a lot of OG and has its shortcomings but at the same time Frost Armor strips enemies with Avalanche and has his Snow Globe for additional protection.

From my point of view, Icy Avalanche works as extra health and status protection for moving between Globes and to allow you to confidently pop out of the Globe to kill the stripped enemies.

It's different from other OG abilities but that's ok. They don't have to be the same because the frames that use them aren't the same.

I agree maybe it shouldnt be as high as Kullervo or Styanax but currently u can get like what? 2k? 3? Maybe some more if you wait enemies out.
IMO it doesnt make sense to give one frame ability to generate few hundred k OG while good old Frost, thats bearly ever used, same ability but just a fraction of its power.

Edit: Icy Avalanceh is supposed to be support ability as well, so in that department it is lacking very much compared

  7. Im of course refering to the addition of Overguard and namely newest Styanax augment - Intrepid Stand

Among other abillities generating Overguard this one is weakest by a mile. Im aware that Avalanche has other benefits like crowd control, armor strip and now weapon critical damage buff but the Overguard values are so way lower that the augment basically doesnt matter.

What id like to see is:
    - increase in OG generation values per enemy - perhaps keep it lower than other abilities since Avalanche provides other benefits but make it competetive
    - removal of the limitation of stacking so OG can be generated in similar manner to Intrepid Stand

Hope Frost gets at this much love if not complete rework :D

  8. In the final phase where you have to fight Boreal on a roof of some greenier buildings his spawn point creates multiple issues:
    - his head clips through some world object making it impossible to hit headshots
    - whie doing the "pyramid" the corners and top clip through same object
    - he seems almost stuck in this spot making it hard to lure him out
    - while doing the overguard attack he keeps pushing operator off from the platform hes on making it very random and hard to complete that part

There you go. The simple solution. Viral + Heat going into any content works well versus bringing corrosive to enemies that don't have much armor wont do much benefit. 🙂 Also I prefer electric proc over heat. Heat needs time for ticks to scale and enemies don't stay alive long enough for heat to scale up. While electric does a 3 meter AOE and can trigger more electric ticks of damage similar to the old gas proc.

Heat is mainly for -50% armor during the effect, dot is welcome addition but could not be there. Overall heat+viral is great synergy but if electric suits you better then be my guest - all depends on personal pref and situation

I dont understand the rad choices at all. Are you just building them for the innate rad damage and leaving it at that or are you building them for further increased rad damage?

If you are building them for higher rad you are wasting options on them by going innate rad over heat or electric since the end result with heat, electric or rad is the exact same, since 60% of either gives you the exact same base damage value that scales the exact same with further mods invested towards rad damage. Those two also keep options open for viral+heat or viral+electric or corrosive+heat or pure corrosive etc.

Im sorry guys, i hit enter too fast 😛

@Savire510 Low/medium - Its all about the procs, you dont want heat to proc too often. Even with minimal roll itll proc on enemy at least once which is all you need

@SneakyErvin Updatet as well - Corr+rad for bonus dmg vs both alloy and ferrite armor so you dont have to shoot twice, also saving mod slots

    @zehne ^

  11. I made guide about that a while ago when the liches first came out. It was before elemental rework so its quite outdated now. Ppl ask me questions or quote that thread in other posts so i guess i can make an updated version (since the old thread is archived).

My intention was to pick the best elemental base for each weapon accoridng to its type (either high rof AR or slow hard-hitter), its IPS values and having some build variety if needed.

    Bez-nazwy.png

    Now some explanation

Im aware im old fart using corrosive+heat since the new meta is viral+heat but...
Having heat as base elemental on a weapon gives you choice and lets you build both combos. Other than that while viral+heat performs pretty well vs all factions, corr+heat beats if just a bit vs armored targets and its still the toughest enemy type in game (even after armor nerf)

Other than that i belive its all pretty self explanatory - toxin and heat if a weapon can proc enough status to make use of it, radiation if its supposed to 1shot thing

As always, if you got any questions im happy to answer 😄

Link to the old thread, most is rather outdate but might find some useful info there as well:

  12. Pretty much only smeeta and helios are used 90% of the time. Helios for auto scanning when some new content drops and smeeta for obvious reasons

Other companions are only useful in very specific situations like dethcube for energy generator + energize on ESO, Moa with the tractor beam mod for aim glide rivens, oxylus for fishing (still prefer smeeta over it but its an option), carrier for breaking containers/ammo mutation etc.

No weapons since they cant do any real dmg and attack mod only takes up a mod slot. Only exception is dethcube for ESO or some mod set statstick
