    Not to be too snarky...

Nope. Going to be a tad snarky.

One thing you missed is a stickied post at the top of this very sub-forum called...

    ...wait for it...

"Welcome Back to Warframe: Here is What You Missed"

That wasn't the point of this thread. It was more what I need to know to get BACK into the game. Knowing kavats are in the game doesnt really help me. its more a) do they offer something kubrows/sentinels dont. b) is it that much of an upgrade.

Likewise with archwing.. it was buggy as hell when i quit. Is it better? Have they fixed everything or it still a difficult to navigate?

    What happened to void keys?

I dont need a list of everything they added. I need information that helps me make decisions as I'm just coming back.

From the top of my head that I can remember:

    • Starchart 3.0
    • Parkour 2.0/no more coptering
    • A ton of new frames (34 frames and new primes)
    • New PvP maps and modes
    • Cincematic quests have been added with a ton of lore and new mechanics
    • Market 2.0
    • Kavats / hemlinth charger
    • Lots and lots of new weapons/cosmetics
    • Lots of new quests
    • Sharkwing
    • Bigger ship
    • And new added as yesterday, open world

whats the sharkwing/kavats. what does the market 2.0 change?

  3. Dear DE: don't be ridiculous. You could bind the screenshot + upload automatically to the unstuck command. Do you have screenshots built into the game? yes you do. How about uploading information to the servers? (hint.. everything warframe keeps track of? xp, drops? ... ) It seems pretty silly to ask people to take screenshots then manually upload them when you could do it so much easier, automatically and get the whole population of "stuck". It's not like DE doesn't build tools. You implemented anti cheating into the preloader. Along with auto ban. How hard could it be to automatically screenshot when you use the unstuck command, save it to a folder that warframe monitors while you play, and upload to a server specifically for bug screenshots?

  4. full set (thats bp + all parts) of:

    Ember prime

    Frost prime

    Mag prime

    Lantron prime

    Bronco prime

    Sicarus prime

    Burston prime

    Dakara prime

    Reaper prime

PM me your prices if you are interested.

    Thanks!

(no loki, rhino, nyx, hikou, or scindo prime stuff. dont bother asking!)

  5. Actually I think it depends entirely on HOW you use the weapons.

    1. Do you need to copter? Ichors win out.

    2. Do you use melee stance (instead of quick attack) vs quick attacks (tap e melee but primarily use primary/secondary)? both nikana stances feel pretty lackluster and dont work very well IMO. but if you JUST use it for quick attacks, it's excellent.

  6. The planet node progression system is based on what's next to whatever you have already unlocked. Completing a node unlocks all the adjacent ones. To unlock a new planet you need to beat the boss node. Basically you can choose which missions to do getting to the boss (with a few places where you are forced to do some nodes because that's the only way to the boss). It's NOT recommended you clear every node on a planet until you need to do either nightmare missions (super hard for new players with modifiers like no shields, % life loss per second etc) or you need to deploy an extractor (they harvest resources for you every 4/8 hours depending on the type and how many you can deploy at a time is based on your mastery rank. early on you probably want to place one on earth  (lots of stuff needs neurodes) and your second one will probably go to jupiter (only place to get neural sensors) with your third ending up on saturn (orokin cells)

The weapon building system uses the foundry. You need to buy the blueprint (it also tells you what materials you need. so make sure you have the planet unlocked before buying the blueprint.. or better yet have the mats ready) There is also a crafting cost in credits as well.. so make sure you have enough to both BUY and build.

  7. Not really... The mod system works pretty well in terms of how they handle new vs old player balance. The fact it Doubles in cost in fusion power/credits means a rank 10 mod is only 1/11th more powerful than a rank 9. Assuming they handle the new focus system the same way, the difference between 150m affinity and 50m will probably all of 1 level or 1 lens. and the difference between 150 and 300 is another 1 lens.

EDIT: wait.. why are you posting feedback on a system that isn't even in the game yet?...

  8. Argon is well balanced. It stays around long enough for you to use it, doesn't stay around long enough to promote you NOT playing the game. Plus there's all of maybe a dozen things it's used for. Most people like me get argon and really don't care cause they've crafted all they need it for until the next new thing comes out. You can get 1-3 argon pretty consistently if you do T1/T2S/D for 15 minutes. I really fail to see how it's an issue.

  9. The problem with the in game system is that it's in chat. and everyone is selling. 90% of the time its WTS WTS WTS. But people never sell anything because only that 10% are LTB. The quickest fix to this would be only allow BUYING posts instead of selling posts. with 90% of the spam gone it would be a lot cleaner, a lot less crazy and much much much better to use. A single buyer will get multiple sellers bidding to sell the item. Instead of 50 people trying to sell the same stuff for the same price all listing their list of 1325135134 things.

  10. Top 5 reasons for not reviving your sorry &#!:

    1. You were doing something you weren't supposed to be doing. Like soloing 40 minutes into a survival mission. Hallway heroing.

    2. You are just leeching. just following behind and picking up loot, not killing things, standing around afk etc.

    3. You were being annoying in chat.

    4. You brought something vastly underwhelming that doesn't contribute (like 2. but you brought a rank 0 frame to fight level 30 stuff and go down every other minute. or you are just standing there eating raptor/vay hek's damage instead of taking cover when your shields are down)

    5. Other priorities. Like dunno.. defending the objective. The easiest way to lose a defense map? Go resurrect some guy who decided to get himself downed away from the pod. (refer to 1) I'd rather let you die than fail the mission.

If none of those apply then I'll happily revive you. If I don't revive you.. there's probably a reason why.

  11. What you say doesn't actually have anything to do with what you want, dude. You just want a shortcut option to go from the mod screen to the fusion screen.

and save your changes while you do it. why is there no apply and go to mods option? why does it have to be stay here and do nothing or get out and do nothing?

  12. On the old system that was a convenient feature, but it would be a tight fit on the new interface. Some resource stacks are quite large.

You know whats larger on the new interface? EVERYTHING. The box for the item is bigger. Please don't tell me they can't fit it in. Cause they can. Cause they did in a smaller box before.

  13. I am sure you have the best of intentions, and I strongly agree with the general theme that the UX route was a poor choice.  However, even as a fellow professional, telling someone how to do their job is... highly abrasive, at best.  In this context we are guests.

Well. The fact is, they AREN'T doing their job.

The new UI fails to interface with the user. A user interface that FAILS to interface. See the problem? They would know this if they actually used any sort of metric system to measure it by. But instead they choose "cool looking" as the one and only metric. Instead of "usability" or "consistency" or "speed". Guess what? I don't want to be doing my job when I'm not at my job. I want to come home to PLAY a game. Not to be reminded after every mission for a whole minute that I crafted my ascaris too early and broke the quest chain resulting in a minute of repeated "dialogue". only then to be greeted by menu after sub menu to do thing's I used to be able to do at a fraction of the time and effort because the UI was more usable and accessible and gave me the information I was looking for. Do I want to craft this item? I know I have enough < insert material> but do I have enough to craft it and then craft <insert other item here> do I need to still craft <insert another item> ? Now I have to go through back and forth back and forth and back and forth. I want to know if i have 5 forma or 2 so I can decide which clan item I want to craft first. I want to know if I already made a chassis or if I haven't crafted one yet to complete my new frame. etc etc.

You know when you go to a classy restaurant, order food and it's not to your liking? You send the food back, and the chef comes out to talk to you to find out why? This is me sending my food back. The chef has already agreed he needs some constructive criticism. So I'm laying it out. I'm a fan of the restaurant, I'm a fan of the food (generally) but this dish is off.

  14. I'm going to start with HOW to fix things first. Because you as a team have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this update. You can read all the UI design rules you obviously missed at the end.

    1. Remove or at least put the option in to remove HUD movement in the liset.

    2. APPLY BUTTON IN THE MOD SCREEN. (I use this thing 2352342342 times a day. I'll never use the tutorial/auto install yet both of them made it, but the apply didn't?)

    3. Global Menu. Don't make me press esc to bring it up, only to navigate another set of menus. Buttons at the top? Good. 1 click I was where I wanted to be.

    4. Planetary menu: PLEASE can we get more information?

    a) Planet names by default. Don't make the labels hover only. If you want to make hover information on the system map, use it to add the planet's resources on it. NOT something as basic as the name.

    b)  use Symbols? Faction symbols on node's along with the name to indicate what faction is there. We used to have corpus/grineer symbols on the nodes. Why is that gone?

    c) level range on nodes: don't make it go into hover

    d) mission type. also goes on the node. Why don't we have symbols for mission types yet? also throw that on the nodes.

    e) Planetary connections. Where did this go? Earth connects to what now? From where?

    5. NEVER cover the interface. Comes back to consistency: Don't expect the user to remember where things were if you cover them up while they were doing things. Most notably in the modding screen. Don't let the warframe cover up the mod list.

    6. Attention. Color draws attention. Make it work to the user's advantage and not away from what they need to know.

Heres a quick markup of the Current mod screen. http://imgur.com/6DrLUZP

I'm going to give you some "on the job" training. I have a background in software development, report development, dashboards and scorecards. I work in Business Intelligence so I know a thing or two about good design.

UI design rules you failed to follow:

1.Consistency: Refer to this image again. http://imgur.com/6DrLUZP Old buttons and new buttons are totally different., (blue boxes vs white boxes ) Inventory VS foundry/mod/arsenal  UI is old/new . Heck. even within the new design. You have orokin catalyst/reactor, forma, auto install, tutorial buttons vs mods/remove all/back button. Half of them move. The other half doesn't. You have an aura tab at the top next to all (modding a warframe)

    2. Usability testing: Look at what people do. See WHAT they do, and HOW they do it, Then make it easier for them to do it. (Most particularly my points 3 and 2). New interface should make it FASTER and EASIER to do what we already do. The KPI's for this: Clicks required to accomplish each task, time required to accomplish each task, Error rate, time to learn.  If these go up, your interface is LESS usable than your old one (which is the case)

  15.

It really is the difference between being categorized as an a-hole or a stupid a-hole.

Guess that means you are definitely just categorized as a stupid a-hole.  Like you already admitted. It's fully possible to equip yourself to the point where you can solo them. Yes they "may" show up. So please tell me whats the longest defense you've run on ceres WITHOUT one of them showing up? 5 waves? 10? 15?

So you've proven it's possible to dress to solo them.

You've admitted they aren't impossible to spawn.

You know you can get up to 3 beacons per kill and haven't disputed that fact.

So whats the problem? Oh right you are just a lazy whiner. Quit posting here and go roll some RNG. I farmed for my hydroid the hard way. Beacons->keys-> hek ->back to beacons. So yeah I might have missed the memo they removed slash and OP damage still being able to kill them but it still doesn't change the fact you can still spawn  them consistently in defense (as consistent as rolling for rotation C rewards in void intercept/survival/def). Whining about which beacon wont spawn for you is like whining about rhino prime chassis or loki prime parts.Everything is RNG. This is no different. get over yourself. It's called WarFARM for a reason. (yes that was intentional)

  16. That IS brutal bro... RNG has not been kind to You!

Quick advice?   Get a 'Taxi' to Xini, group up with a team and farm that place for a few hours... the mods there will flow!

Where do you see serration in that? Farming xini isnt the answer those are the common enemies and none of them drop it.

  17. I giggled

Ive been running Exta Ceres with my Latron prime at lvl 1-15 and killing krill with it

Half the time i dont even have powers

Hooray for patience and really good aim

And you have been playing since Jan. He's been playing since... end of may.

it's pretty hard to get a lantron prime within 1 month. it would require him to a) solo all the way to saturn, farm 10 orokin cells b) farm survival for keys c) solo void missions for lantron parts.

likely with a braton and a cronus on a starter frame with probably rank 5 redirection and vitality, no serration/hornet strike, rank 0-3 elemental mods. Unless you play 16 hours a day for a month, theres no way you can solo your way to even a lantron prime. you think of it as "just a rank 15 lantron prime" to him it's way out there. remember the only way to get affinity is by killing with the actual weapon. solo hyena? not an easy task with a braton that has no serration. Then hes got to get past earth. When's the last time you soloed frontier stuff with a braton? and thats just all on the way to saturn. a lantron prime is easily 2 months of play for a normal player that plays like 2 hours a day. And then you still have to go to T1-3 VOID survival. Yes. All 4 parts are in survival (except stock which is in T2 cap and T2 surv). You ever solo T3 survival to 5 minutes on a frame with rank 5 redir/vit/maxed skills of your choice on a starter with a braton without serration? it might take you 2 minutes to kill a single enemy. Let's pretend the parts all show up as soon as possible with 100% chance. Farming the 4 keys will still take hours. T3 survival, 2x T2, 1x T1. And lets pretend you get all the orokin cells while you farm for survival keys. Thats still 4x keys = 1 hour of survival (going 15, quit, 15, quit, 15, quit. 15, quit) There are 5 types of keys (excluding intercept which cant be farmed here anyways) so let's pretend they all drop at the same rate, equally. You are still looking at probably 5 hours of doing survivals to farm the keys... TO START DOING VOID SURVIVAL.. Thats 5 hours to get the keys to have a CHANCE at doing the missions to get the parts. Of which none are a "sure thing"

So I laugh at your thinking that lantron prime isnt a big deal. Having one is a big deal for new players. That's just a fact.

Here's a fun little experiment for you: start a new account. start farming. tell me how long it takes you solo to a point where you get your first serration/hornet strike drop. I'll tell you this. I started a new account just before breeding grounds. I didn't solo. It took me a close to a month (playing 2 hours every day) to get my first serration. (of course I avoided freebies, taxis, joining other people's void keys). Fact is. it's not as easy as you think. Just having a half decent weapon with actual mods on it is a HUGE step up from dealing 24 damage a crit headshot when you start

  18. I know it's a little late but I've been busy.

    A couple things:

Repetitive. I know this game is warfarm. but still..

Some ideas to make it less repetitive:

Add a couple different modes to add variety into the gameplay. Make them like nightmare modifiers except for breeding ground missions:

Race mode: You have to race against the 3 hives. The more infested you destroy, the longer your ship will be able to stay docked while you complete your mission. Take too long and the infested will force your ship to fly off and change the extract location!

Supercluster: There isn't just 1 hive. There's ALL of them.

Mutated hive: 1/4 enemies are extra stinky eximus!

A few other QOL changes that would be well in order:

Extraction points: We should be able to see our ship in the distance even if it isn't at the spot. It's just visually nicer.

Matchmaking: match people with like stench levels. its frustrating for old players and new when a low rank jumps into a game with level 50+ enemies because of the stench level.

Bigger flashy/swarms to indicate the tumors. Sometimes you just get stuck at 4/5 and can't find the last one.Heck I think it took me 3 games to start finding them because they would all be dead by the time someone started explaining what they should look like. There's the whole "use your scanner" but funny thing is.. my helios doesn't automatically target them! Whole point of me using helios is to avoid using my scanner!
