DE's fake TennoCon trailer seemed to suggest that you could use the central console in the Dry Dock to call your own Railjack. I kind of feel like they should make that a thing. Let anyone on the team try to call their Railjack using that console. If the team agrees via consensus vote, the Railjack already there leaves and that player's Railjack arrives in its place. You can then start missions from there. Of course, this implies that all players would see THE SAME Railjack at the dojo, rather than each seeing their own. I still say that's dumb and shouldn't be the case, not unless a player is customising. And even then - show us in space when we're customising so we can freely rotate around!

When launched from the Orbiter, it's even simpler. Use the Railjack of the player who chose the mission. Simple as that.

Interesting to know about the cutscene! I like both ideas so far.

I want this, purely because some people suck at being hosts, while having the railjack we would prefer to use.

Good point! I wouldn't be surprised if some just want to sail their own ships even with high pings as a host, especially those decked out with all the bells and whistles to make use of.

  2. Firstly, this has been an overall fun update with bugs and all. I loved seeing the diversity of fashion/mods/co-op taken to the next level in big badass ships! Many thanks for the early surprise DE.

Now with that said here's a little background story of mine. I figured having a new Railjack is just like when a new frame drops, so I went ahead built my own Railjack, picked a color theme, farmed mods/resources, crafted, named it and smashed a wine bottle to celebrate the birth of my Railjack! Then the next step to my master plan was to find a suitable host to join and share the results of my master piece.

Well, after I joined the host I noticed the game switched out to the host's Railjack instead and had no way to pick mines. Felt disappointed.

So here's what I want to propose: Let us switch between Railjacks in squad.

Here's my train of thoughts on the benefits this brings to the table:

    • Help out those starting out with fragile ships in the starter zone so they too can improve their ships.
    • In turn, this helps lengthen the gameplay since eventually players would want to deck out each other's ship.
    • By showing off each other's war spoils live from space as well as fashion choices would promote into to buying Railjack shiny skins/color palettes/bundles and more provide by DE from non host players.

In short, as it stands, I feel the update's potential is limited for those who can reliably host which in turn demotivates those who can't host from investing time and money into their own Railjacks. That's my 2 cents.

I don't know if this is true but um I was searching the wiki and found this in the orbiter section:

Vignettes can be bought from the Market either individually for Platinum64 90 each, or as part of the Vignette Collection for Platinum64 540. Each individual purchase of a Vignette will include 2 Warframe Articula for decorative purposes.

They seem to come with 2 Warframe Articula which are apparently statues of warframes, you choose what warframe to display. Usually 2 Warframe Articula costs 70p (35 each). They take up 100 capacity. Don't ask me though, The vignette's don't say they come with anything in game, i'll ask the forums or something.

Do share if find any info on acquiring them since it is indeed expensive....

Until then I'll just use Vigentte Lua for now.

  5. Glad to see Tennobaum return. :satisfied: Always neat to see players gifting & help out a fundraiser too: win/win <3

    Here's my wishlist ~

    Fluff

    • Color Palettes (Corpus, Fire, Eximus, Dojo, Lotus, Daybreak, Grineer, Storm) This is merely for completion reason.
    • Forma Bundles (can never have too many)
    • Riven slots

    Cosmetics

    • Igaro Syndana
    • Mag Pneuma Collection
    • Rhino Palatine Pack

That is all, though is real shame we can't gift tennogen steam skins >-< (which I have few on my wishlist) these on the list will do for now.

    Happy Tennobaum ~~~ :lotus:

  6. I like how everyone talks about the title when OP admitted to:

Just wanted to throw the name out there. Also having troubles with the forums.

Although just for sake of speculation: I highly doubt Lenz Vandal is imminent in the near future.

@Cyborg-Rox I think we'll be getting Lato Vandal soontm so there's your wish for secondary version.

PS: If you know what Flesh type armor is, you know the Corrosive and armor scaling leaps of logic from DE's side. There are not many things for which I want't to actively critique them, but DMG 2.0 in post 60 enemies is hilariously bad and you can't make all frames do corrosive or flat % just to combat this issue.

DMG 2.0 flaws is another can of worms to deal with, yes in some shape or form Ember suffers from it however it leaves two options:

    1. Ember gets tweak or overhaul to meet needs in DMG 2.0 or teamplay.
    2. DMG 3.0 happens and maybe then Ember won't need to be reworked.

I personally doubt the latter will happen and more than likely may get the former instead.

Since I'm betting that rework is more likely to happen I add my 2 cents on how I feel about the frame current state.

Adding corrosive and flat % is one way to do it, although I'm not asking for such a thing and I know there can be other ways to spice her kit w/o the need to cheese her even more.

In short, I feel her kit needs a polish, tweak or overhaul, which ever benefits the most. As to how, I'll let someone else set examples or ideas down the road.

While Ember does the job of clearing low popcorn mobs at the moment, I feel she has potential for more; no I am not asking in a way so I can main her since this is game all about using the right tools but I cannot deny she has potential for possibly other uses than just burn enemies.

Suggesting, the index part is true tho,  enemies are open to finishers while panicked

Huh, I did notice when Ember use it enemies look like they are open to finishers like Inaros does with his sand pocket so wasn't sure if it was already a thing.

Alright, then thanks for clarifying. 280707294495244288.png

They saw a relatively weak ability and worked around it. Let take two kids, one is fat, the other malnourished. Who do you give the twinkie to? People will harp on all day about not fixing things that aren't broken, but what it comes down to is how op it is and how they don't want it taken out because it's op. Hydroid was either only being used for farming with pilfering swarm, or not at all before. That's how far use of his frame went.

Yes, without a doubt that's how feels overall and I'll give DE credit where is due that they made one thing not useful actually worth using.

As I mentioned I'll simply just use him in not so boring matter and shelf him; hoping that one day they can bring it up to speed with his other abilities or spice things up.
Or maybe he isn't my jam and I should admit he never will be.

Its because Hydroid does not MLG1440NoScopeYoMomYoloSWAG420BlzIt on enemies on the whole map.

I see the same thing with Banshee, Sound Quake is supposed to be CC but people just activade it and stay there while saying she sucks. I expected Hydroid to get no different reaction when they added scaleability to Undertow: people just standing there in the puddle and doing nothing else in their safety net and expecting to contribute as much as that Excalibur jumping and Dashing around while killing just as much.

They dont see all of his powers, only the one that deals most damage and/or making them invincible to keep their power trip up.

Hydroid is SupportCC  with an ability that scales, ofc they would only care for that one ability and forget the rest, its the same as the threads about "X can do better than Y in this one SINGLE power,  so this means Y is worthless".

Won't deny that you have some weight in this post, however, as far as I tested and looked, it feels like this rework as a whole *made* it more favorable to the puddle skill and less on others... possibly another reason as to why a lot of players focus on just one skill. (Not counting augments)

I do agree before the rework Hydroid was niche support CC and to degree had its charm; hek I even had fun with it at some point. Then, after all the changes, I felt like he lost his niche or they focused too much favorably on the puddle which leaves to bland frame to play with. Can I just focus on anything else but the puddle?, yes I could but besides mat farming his rest of the skill don't scale well or keep up with the team reliably.

Though as someone mentioned: "His rework isn't done but paused for the moment. Most likely cause they want full focus on POE and is he reaaaaallly your first fodder prime cause i find that hard to believe."

And if it is so then I'll simply wait till after PoE and maybe give him a 3rd chance if they ever touch his kit again that has not just puddle of death but scalable CC as well.

    Just my 2 cents.

PS: yes once I get the prime I'll definitely try not work on puddle only, although it'll be uphill battle from there and onward.

You underlined the *squishy* part but you ignored it all together. Ember is bad VS corpus because of nulifiers, Ember is bad VS Grineers because they can sniper her down outside of WoF radius. The damage itself is not an issue, as long as people don't start chanting "we all want to do flat % damage", and we don't ignore the actual use of Firequake post 60 enemies.

I see, tbf though examples above can be said by any other squichy frame if they lack a way to mitigate damage or some form CC or self heal (like Banshee relying on quake only).

Anyhow, my point wasn't the damage issue or her WoF needs a nerf, just add her other skill sets in a way to make her do more than what she already does.

Also, after re-reading OP I realize whatcha meant: yea shifting her 4s damage on her other skills isn't the best approach to say the least.

  12. 4 minutes ago, phoenix1992 said:

Proper tool for the proper job. I would not run Sparky the squishy on Grineer or Corpus, sorties because this is the point. I mean, sure - I can, hell I can even do enough damage to warranty it, but it is fitting a circle in triangle hole just for the sake of it.

Then we can agree it would be great if somehow Ember had skill isn't only flesh units or somehow have her contribute to the team a bit more than just burn away and pray it dies.
Some spice to the mix of already limited kit. (example: open finishers, CC, element mixing)

So let me clarify something, please.

You see a lot of embers participating in timed low level content like alerts, invasions, fissures and syndicates and you are concerned about the fact that the player base picked the path of least resistance considering obliterating large quantities of low level enemies?
What a horror, we should always struggle to kill level 20 grineers in large quantities.

Again, that wasn't the topic at hand OP wanted to bring. *Is not nerf ember thread*

Just open discussion on how to *improve* her kit in some shape or form that isn't *only* low level content.

Wouldn't be great to see her more often in let say Sorties?

World on fire (WoF for short) :How's this, damage scales base off of 20% of enemies health (shields not included) efficiency reduced

Fire blast, the ring of fire thingy : damage changes based on what base elements are shot through and into it, (sounds more like an augment but) will deal different damage when shot at it with any base damage such as electrical toxic or cold and mixes, or apply fire damage to outgoing projectiles

Accelerant: blind opens enemies up to finishers if they are caught on fire, (happens in the index already) reduced duration

    Fireball : Oberon 1 scaling

A bit confused but is this suggestions for rework or pointing out what she does atm?

If the former I might let this fly as a rework, if the latter then pardon my derpness.

Ember is a fire based frame, now she burns enemies, nerf her then what does she do? keep them warm ?. Overhaul might work.

But keep in mind that it took quite some work (3-4 formas, syndicate mods, corrupted mods, primed mods, Simaris mod, rare aura) to get Ember to cheese level on starmap missions. It's not like you can grab her, jump in any mission and cheese without doing anything.

The thing is even with all that she feels limited above star map levels, and to be fair that can be said to most frames out there.

    Press 4 to win.

Probably for the star map mission but not so much after 60+

As for few think this is nerf thread, read again. OP asking for "what to do" open ended opinion. :awkward:

    On topic:

As few pointed out she has no middle ground; either she mops the floor on low level enemies (starmap) or she barely does any reliable dps/cc bar spamming ignite for buff damage on high level maps.

I concur with @Jackviator that she neither needs buff or nerf due to current skill set being severely outdated, she needs straight up overhaul.

And no not the half baked reworks and slight changes we gotten as of late, an *actual* complete overhaul on her skill set.

So in short, I'd be down for complete rework to use her not just on low level content but also high level.

Now I'm not asking for the frame to mop the floor on high level either just a "middle ground" to offer for herself and/or the team down the road.
