1. This video will unfortunately fall under DE's radar, and they will leave it at trash tier for the longest time. Thought, I agree it does need some changes, especially percentage-based ammo restoration. However, I don't want a damage buff for this weapon, but instead a way to make it a reliable form of CC since we really don't have (m?)any of those sitting around.

No point in advertising your video or channel complaining about things.

It will fall upon deaf ears on this communities board.

I wouldn't say he's advertising his channel. This is the feedback section, and I think feedback in the form of a video is completely acceptable. He doesn't have "LOLOL SUBSCREEB 4 MOAR MEINCRAFT N WAFRAM N DUNT 4GIT2LIK K BY" at the end of the video, which is very respectable. He wanted to give his thoughts, and got those thoughts across.

  2. I'm sorry for finding enjoyment in min/maxing, I'm sorry for having fun, and I'm sorry for having a different opinion.

On a more constructive note, I don't like either side of min/maxing vs non-min/maxing.

Some people find enjoyment in min/maxing and enjoy being at full power. People like that are usually people who play a game to 100% it or something.

Non-min/maxers are usually players who are more casual and would not care to 100% it.

You never really see people call another person a scrub for not 100%ing a game, and you never see people say "oh those people who 100%... nobody loves them and they should stop playing the game I like". However, when it comes to Warframe and min/maxing, both sides hold an Ichor and <insert whatever melee non-min/maxers use> to eachother's throats just because they don't agree with eachother's opinion.

Personally, I am a min/maxer, but occasionally pick up a fun weapon because you know, it doesn't take a whole week to forma a weapon to the point of min/maxing. It's really annoying to see both sides fighting, and I think both sides are at fault to a degree.

-Some Min/maxers are also at EACHOTHER'S throats in discussions.

-Some non-min/maxers hate min/maxers are are absolutely toxic to people who use the Boltor Prime, Brakk, etc.

It's also to a degree DE's fault because there's no way to separate the two (yet). If we got hardcore endgame that only min/maxers could access (without entirely locking that content from non-min/maxers), we'd be cool. A lot of people min/max but have nowhere to use it.

Honestly, this game seems to be a casual game (and it doesn't seem like DE currently has any plans to change that), and min/maxers and whatnot have picked it up.

S#&$, it's just like Pokemon. It's made for kids and stuff but you can pick it up as a more hardcore players and then theorycraft on what the meta is and find ways to wreck other player's S#&$. Both sides don't give a crap about what the other does, so why can't so many Warframe players to do the same?

  3. Dota, if they can balance 100+ characters, each with 4 skills, then we should expect DE to be able to do that. The power disparity is so great it's laughable sometimes, but mostly it's depressing.

Oh man, this is probably the most important thing you can do. I've played Warframe so much that when I recently tried League of Legends, my mind was blown at the balance of all of the characters in comparison.
  4. Pretty much why I've stuck with Vindictus, man just using smashes and combo in groups feels so good. granted a few classes seem a bit more agile than others and the whole durability and enhancing/enchanting aspect makes me fear for my weapons. Besides that it's a fun game with good and bad elements.

I saw some gameplay of Destiny and I felt a bit mehhy. I mean looks pretty and all but didn't really feel like the battles were urgent or you were doing it for a reason. Kinda felt like it has something but doesn't know what. Kinda like Borderlands:good story, fun weapons. But lacking that spark that I guess other games I consider great have. Might just be preference haha

I also want the feels from Katawa Shoujo.....Hanako....

The enhancing/enchanting really did make me value my weapons more. Man, if mods could blow a weapon up then my heart couldn't take Warframe. Perhaps sonething Warframe needs is more risk.

And now a tribute to Hanako:

  5. Wow I decided to investigate.

There is a petition to shut down steam because of the oppression of women in the video game industry...

Also that men should only be used to create babies.

Can I go lose faith in humanity now?

This person also claims that Mag is the only female Warframe and that he/she has downloaded and played the game.

    This is hilarious.

  6. Not only that but someone replied to this tumblr post stating how very wrong this post is how warframe actually works.

Also, ignore any and pretty much all tumblr feminists. They are extremists who insist that everyone man "is evil and should probably die" and thats probably one of the lighter things they believe.

I have too much fun watching videos of people making fun of them to ignore them.

  7. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of the Tumblr Social Justice Warriors, but here's something I found browsing around Tumblr.

(This is not me who wrote this).

    Warframe

A free-to-play online game about alien ninjas with guns… mostly men. There’s only 1 female alien option to choose, the other three options are obviously men. The game is also about getting to a strange planet and destroy their bases with long-range weapons like guns or just beat the hell out of the other aliens, while if you choose the female alien you can only follow the male aliens to revive them or give health and mana. This is a clear view on how aggressive and destructive men can be, and creates the idea that women are weak creatures only to help men out in their destructive behaviour. The story remains unclear as to why this aliens want to destroy other’s planets. Misogyny is universal and need to be stopped.

The sad thing is, people seriously think this stuff. It's entertaining to see some Youtubers make fun of them though.

Edit, a lot of people seem to think this is a troll post. Unfortunately, it isn't. People are serious and radical about this stuff, which is sad. Just look it up on Youtube and Tumblr or something. I found it fun listening to InternetAristocrat on youtube about people like this.

  8. I probably should have included this in my opening post, but I think DE should check out WoW (it's progression system, bosses, and endgame were outstanding in my opinion), Vindictus (bosses, melee, progression), and maybe Dark Souls (because those fights seem fair compared to what we have in Warframe, where you either annihilate a boss or get destroyed).

The nice thing about Warframe is it dosnt user other games ideas. So errr no, please.

I doubt you can prove that to be true. Even so, it's not like getting ideas from other games is a bad thing.

Between two brothers, the younger had potential to be wiser. If the eldest touches a candle fire and burns themselves, then the younger will know what not to do. You know, borrowing ideas from what we observe in others is how we have gotten to the point we have in technology and knowledge.

If DE could borrow great ideas, and shape them to be even greater, we could get some great stuff in the game.

Some aspects of Vindictus' gameplay could be looked at (combat-specific for melee). In addition, games like Metal Gear Solid and Rising could be looked at as well.

Oh man, Vindictus was one I would definitely love DE to play and see if they can pick out anything useful from. While there are some crappy things (like Vindictus being even more tedious in terms of RNG then Warframe, which has an already crappy RNG system) in Vindictus, I could hope that DE notices some great things.

I also loved the break-offs in Vindictus, so seeing similar in Warframe would actually be pretty cool.

Melee wise: Vindictus, those combos feel fluid and feel a lot better to pull off at times plus some are used as animation cancels which WF needs a few of.....But damn I want a good GreatSword like the one Hurk uses.....so good

Another Vindictus? Wow, I thought I was the only one who knew it existed.

Indeed the melee system was amazing. For anyone who doesn't know, Vindictus ran on a system with both "normal" (L) and "smash" ® attacks. You can basically say Smashes were combo finishers. Each one had it's own use.

Spear Lann's LLR was great for getting in a tiny bit of damage when you couldn't fit any more between a boss' fast attack speed, and his LLLR had (formerly) the best damage output in the game.

Scythe Evie's smashes allowed you to put different debuffs on the enemies, and you could even stack them.

Currently, the melee system feels a bit useless and some combos are even pointless. I'd rather have ugly combos that have a use rather than fancy combos that did absolutely nothing for you in combat.

Sadly, I agree, but this is mostly in reference to their skill tree.

I would like focus to run similar to that.

(If they could begin to balance PvP off their system as well, kudos.)

Is Destiny really that great? I didn't get a chance to play it cause I don't have a PS4 (PC Destiny is a looonnng ways from now). Thought, I would really like DE to look into other games and get some player feedback rather than making focus all by themselves, cause melee it feels like they made melee 2.0 all by themselves and didn't know what they were doing, so just threw everything they could together to make it look cool but still have some issues.

  9. I've been around Warframe for about a year now and I've definitely had great fun. The gameplay is fun and it feels great to finally be powerful and taking down enemies, those that once gave me so much trouble, in only a few shots with my min/maxed weapon.

It's really fun and all, but I often feel like Warframe is missing something that other games may have. I looked at many other games and often realized "Warframe would be really cool if it had something like this".

Give me your thoughts: are there any games you think DE could learn from to improve their game?

  10. Raid bosses. Maybe 6-10 man boss raids, much like WoW, Vindictus, etc. Of course these bosses would have stats extremely high, accessible to players who have sufficient skill and equipment, and to possibly require voice coordination though raidcall and ventrillo.

Something like this being added could bring us a great form of progression and endgame.

For this map in particular, the giant Infested could have these kind of attacks:

    Sweep Attack

Uses an arm to sweep an entire floor. The way to avoid it is by either sliding under it or by being above or below the floor it's sweeping.

    Stomp

Getting close to it will cause it to stomp the ground, causing a damaging earthquake that knocks down all the Tenno.

    Gas

It can pollute a large section of the platforms with gas, forcing the Tenno to keep moving.

    Minions

Can release infested to harass the Tenno on the platforms.

    Strategy for defeating it is:

•There are gas sacks on its torso that must all be ruptured. Destroying them all releases all the gas and it forms a giant cloud in one section of the level, it will slowly dissipate. The Giant can no longer use gas attacks.

•There are tendons on the feet that must all be severed to knock down the Giant. Once it's knocked down, it exposes glowing weakspots where it takes lots of damage. After a while it heals the legs and gets back up. Repeat until it's dead

So yeah, how can we, and should we, introduce giant enemies into Warframe?

Now first reading your post, I got a bit worried (and still am to a degree). Your ideas of moves were extremely simple, and I'd hate for these to be the only attacks on a boss.

If we got bosses as cool as this, it would be horribly ruined for me if they ended up being tank and spank.

The strategy part, while still extremely simple, got me to worry less because they are some alright ideas.

I think it would be totally radical if there were like a 5% chance that a giant enemy would spawn in certain wide open tilesets. Or maybe if you kill enough Infested, they send one of these big baddies after you.

NO. Such a great update would be ruined if a boss was RNG based, and I don't entirely agree with the kill count idea either.

I believe that it should be it's own game mode, as being in an already-existing mode would greatly devalue them and would force others to deal with something they probably didn't want to deal with at the time. Whether or not a boss could be encountered should be up to the players.
