  1. When you really look at it, Mag didn't have as much either. The real fancy part was Excalibur. He's the posterboy, so people wanna see what he's got to do. Volt is generally seen as a weak Warframe by new players anyways, so I don't know that you could really show him working to full potential in the trailer. All of that goes more into the strategy and numbers of the frame, not so much pressing a few buttons and using your weapons. The trailer wasn't gameplay though, so I expect that they were trying to give "a more realistic view" of what the Warframes would be like. Volt is more strategy, not so much brute force.

Hopefully some of that made some sense... XD

I don't think it's that our operator's will grow up so much as that it's because of transference that they lost their original bodies.

Think about it - the Zariman 10-0 was a military vessel, not a civilian transport.  The Tenno were running from adults that lost their minds while stuck aboard a vessel that had no business carrying children in the first place.  What.  Does.  Umbra.  Do.  When we transfer out of him?  Before we calmed him?  What did proto-Rhino do without a Tenno transferring into him in his codex?  What are the last few lines in Ember's codex?

The Tenno bring a calm to the storm, so to speak.

DE's game design may always be shaky in its execution, but their over arching story writing is stellar.

HOLY... I never noticed that... oh /gosh/... And I thought I was a lore nerd... X,'D

  3. I haven't read everything yet, but here's my theory. (Watch this be exactly the same as someone else...)

So basically, it seems like the adult "Tenno" is kinda confused and disoriented throughout the whole thing. That's the important thing that made this theory different to the rest.

My theory is essentially that the Duviri Paradox is actually in a time far into the future, but in the Void. The Tenno lost connection to the Warframe, as shown, then ended up stranded on this odd little planet thing in the trailer, but stay in the Railjack for years to survive on the resources left inside such as food and water for the crew and everything. We've already seen that adults are driven mad by the Void, so the crew would have been long-gone. They make trips outside periodically, doing light scouting and such to see if it's dangerous at all, but keep going back to the ship at the first sign of life so as not to be seen.

The Tenno end up running out of resources and go outside the ship with a mask just in case they can't breathe and they come across the big space worm thing. From there, the trailer is pretty simple. The Tenno are attacked and they try to use their powers, but they can't because- well, whatever reason that is. maybe they just haven't used them in too long and it's like how you can't talk properly after not doing it long enough? *shrug*

So the Tenno can't use their powers and their mask is removed. They freak out, thinking they won't be able to breathe, only to find that it's okay, but they still have to deal with the Dax rider thing. The image of the young Tenno planting the Tigris in the ground is actually a memory of the adult from one of their scouting missions. They get the gun, kill the guard, then the rest isn't really worth speculating on yet since we really have absolutely no idea what the plot is gonna be. My guess is that the Tenno are gonna try to investigate the ship that looks like the Zariman, but I dunno.

  4. Well, I'm just in time to give my farewell.. I've been gone for a while.

Farewell, Tenno. You can always return to us as an old friend. This community will generally accept you with open arms, as they just did me in my confused return.

    Best of luck!

EDIT: I completely forgot to say thank you... *shakes head* I'm a mess today. XD

Thanks for doing this! Most people (I think) would keep their plat in case they returned and needed a pick-me-up/jumpstart. It is appreciated.

  5. So... basically, I've been away for a while. How long is a little iffy... at least a month. However, I have now returned, and I have absolutely no idea what the heck is going on.

So to start it off... I went to YouTube in hopes of finding some kind of answers, but all I found was that the community - specifically partners - is upset with DE for some reason. The only thing I can guess is that DE is "slacking off" now that Anthem failed and their competition is "gone"... But I think I'm missing something. What exactly is up with this whole situation?

Now, another point of confusion is involving potential spoilers... and I would greatly appreciate it if we could avoid that.

    Spoiler

So basically, in a handful of YouTube videos I saw, the Lotus was back to normal... without spoiling anything, can someone tell me what caused this? Is there a toggle in settings or something? Did it have to do with Nightwave? (I didn't touch Nightwave, really... it wasn't really a point of interest for me. I left just before it came out, I believe.) Again, please don't spoil anything having to do with the main storyline of the game. If it has to do with Wolf of Saturn, spoil all you want, but don't touch the main story.

So.. I think that's about where my confusion ends. I'll edit the OP if I remember something else I need assistance with.

    Thanks, Warframe community!

  6. My playstyle in the Index is to use Umbra with the Arca Plasmor and use the Operator to walk around and grab points. It's extremely effective, save for this bug that came in an update before Christmas. (I believe it was after Fortuna part 2.)

When I die as the Operator and Umbra is dead, I become a completely invisible (Not like Void mode or Loki's 2, it's completely gone) and stuck at Operator crouch walking speed, unable to Void Jump, attack, switch to Umbra, pause the game, or even Alt+F4. I have to Alt+Tab and click the X around Warframe's window.

This bug is not only game-breaking, but technically also computer breaking if you don't get creative like myself. I meant to make a thread about it over Christmas break, but... well... family. Priorities, right?

Anyways, thank you Devs! I appreciate all of you!

  7. I know this probably isn't where it belongs, but I looked in the Switch forums thinking I should put it in bug reports, but it wouldn't let me post because my account isn't technically real.

So yeah, I was trying to migrate my account using my tablet since I just got a Switch as a gift from relatives. Problem is, after entering my PC password in the "migrate to Switch" page, I didn't get redirected to a Nintendo login site. I'm assuming this is because I'm on tablet, but now that prompt is gone in my account settings, so I can't do it anymore.

Anyone else have this problem, or better yet, a fix to it?

EDIT: I just logged into the Switch and completed the tutorial thinking I might as well use the gift, but after completing the tutorial and spawning in the ship, I was looking at my Volt Prime with my Thor fashion (without the Cape for some reason). So... maybe I didn't need to log into Nintendo?

EDIT: I still can't post on the Switch forums.

  8. Mine don't seem to have been working properly either, but I have gotten several credit caches from Teshin. I haven't gotten much more than that. A nice Nitain Extract here and there, maybe one set of fireworks, but so far nothing that the campaign says it should give. (No Warframes, Ambulas Noggle, Rivens, etc.) I don't know when those are supposed to go out though. Is it when streamers get achievements?

  9. I absolutely love the K-Drive so far! I still only have the basic board, but if it only gets better from here, I'm pumped!

I'm still getting a hang of the movement and everything but that's to be expected. I love how fluid everything feels and how it actually has some physics to it. I have played plenty of games with a complete lack of true physics when it comes to vehicles, but clearly Warframe is not one of them.

My only request for this at the moment is that we can use Operators on the K-Drive. I got the smelter outfit because I fell in love with it immediately, but I can't K-Drive with my space kid, while the Ventkids (Space kids) can. I'm a little disappointed. Now, from a lore standpoint, I suppose this kinda makes sense. The Tenno are still children, but I do want to point out, the Ventkids are much smaller than the Tenno, so I don't see why we can't use the Tenno on K-Drives.

No real complaints, just a request.

Thanks DE! Loving the update so far!

  10. Well, I don't have fashion in Fortuna colors, but I made Operator and Warframe fashion based around a mix of the cold and tech that Fortuna is known for. I'll get screenshots soon.

    EDIT

So I can't decide if I want to use my main, Volt, or Umbra for Fortuna. Here's my fashion for both.

WARNING: This is the Umbra fashion, it is using cosmetics that have spoilers for The Sacrifice. If you have not played the quest, I suggest you skip this one.

  11. I think this actually has alot of potential. I made my first Warframe concept several months ago (My own, somewhat underwhelming, attempt at a time Warframe) and it was really fun to make. However, it seems like this one actually has a ton of potential. I think DE actually takes Warframe concepts and puts them in-game sometimes (Nova, Khora, etc.), so there's hope for this. The only thing I see as a problem is that it would take a ton of intense work and DE might not be up to it for a long time. They have only ever given us one opportunity to take control of something else (The Golden Maw in The War Within) and I have no idea how hard it was to make that a thing, but if they have to make the controls for every enemy in the game, that would be rather intense. Taking control of anything possible is not exactly just making a specter that fights alongside you (Nekros). This is pretty intense.

We didn't take the sword, we built it thus no free slot neither it's a trap.If it was a trap would mean that Ordis would have said something about the blueprint while scanning it like he did with Umbra etc.

As for the youtubers and their theories, i've said it before, they make things out of their minds, prob for the views or whatever. It's like they play another game or something.

P.S It's really disgusting seeing those partners and others uploading videos like crazy these 2 last days cause of the Fortuna hype when clearly they don't know what they're talking about.

Are you sure we got a free weapon slot? I believe we only got the blueprint.

Broken-War, Broken Scepter, Skiajati, Zylok, etc. were already crafted when we got them. They also had Orokin Catalysts installed.

Both good points. I'd honestly forgotten that we built it. Mainly because the quest isn't replay able yet.

a lvl 40 paracesis is a sentient-slayer, no two ways about it. the question here is what exactly it is. i doubt that it's some kind of control device that ballas is foisting upon us, since you have to pay for weapon-slots, and pulling something like that after you pay 12 plat to pick it up would cause an uproar, no matter the quality of the writing. the ring's caught my attention as well, but i'm thinking that it's either a mini-void gate whose purpose is to poison the blade against sentients, or that it is some kind of leftover from a gunblade-greatsword hybrid development idea that got far and then got shelved.

About the slots, whenever we get a free weapon (i.e. The Second Dream, The War Within, The Sacrifice, The Pyrus Project, anniversaries, etc.) we get free slots to go with it. DE doesn't force us to take up a slot, they just give us a free one.

About the Void gate thing, that's actually a really interesting theory. I never really thought about how the Paracesis was such a good Sentient Slayer, but this makes sense. The only problem I see is that standard Void energy is generally a blue-greenish color.

    5 minutes ago, Datam4ss said:

You know Prime weapons also have a golden glow, right? By that logic, because Ballas has golden eyes, all Prime weapons are traps from Ballas...

Could be just because the sword is linked to killing Sentients.

    I said purple glow... Right?

I haven't ever noticed a golden glow on Prime weapons, but that could be because I have to play with lower graphics than many other Tenno out there.

The glow on the Paracesis is purple. I'm not talking about the energy color or anything, I'm talking about the constant purple glow in the little hole above the hilt. I say constant because it's always there, no matter what you do for energy color or anything else. I have not had an experience like this on any other weapons in-game, the only thing that I've seen something kinda like this done to is Warframes. Most of the time, Warframes will have some color somewhere that you can't change. It's just always there. This color is usually some shade of grey. I've never seen this done with energy though. This little purple glow cannot be tampered with no matter what I try. It is constant. Prime weapons don't have a constant golden glow, nor a purple one.

  14. I know you've seen many threads about the Paracesis and how amazing it is. I have too. But I have noticed something that I can't ignore.

In one of DKDiamantes' videos recently, he said that he had a theory that the Paracesis was actually some kind of trap for the Tenno. I now have reason to believe that.

No matter what colors you do, it always has this glow, however subtle it is. It's kinda hard to see in some of these pictures, but it is definitely there. You'll see it with some effort.

This purple glow is often associated with the Lotus. It's very present in her throne room, it's very present on her suit and helmet. (However I think the helmet only has the glow when it's attached to her) So since this glow is showing up on the Paracesis, doesn't that mean that is must be some part of Lotus/Natah?

I dunno. It's just a thought. It could very well be the case that Ballas is being controlled by Natah or that he's willingly working with the Sentients, but this sword is not able to be ignored. This purple glow should not be here if the sword is completely Sentient-free.

What do you guys think? It's possible that this is a bug, but I think it is highly unlikely.

  15. Hey guys! I just made this really neat Iron Man cosplay WITH Operator! I was really happy with how it turned out especially since it included functionality!

MK-45 (Seen in Captain America: Civil War)

Tony Stark (As seen in Iron Man 3)

For those curious, I am using Volt Prime purely for the visuals, nothing else. If I had the Amp skin, I would use that instead. Anyways, I am using the Obex with them visible when holstered since they look like the repulsors. I am using the Staticor since they shoot like the repulsors. I have my Archwing hotkeyed to 6 so that it acts like another ability on the Plains of Eidolon so I can take off at a moment's notice. It really gives off the Iron Man feel.

So what do you guys think? Do you have any cool Halloween stuff for Warframe? I'd love to have a look!
