  1. Actually, Nyx is even more fun with LESS duration, more range and more power efficiency.  Overextended+Stretch+Streamline+Fleeting Experience = spam chaos and own world

It'll also let you MC leaders and heavies from halfway across the map. You just have to keep an eye on them with the lower duration so they don't turn around suddenly and shoot you in the back, but with max efficiency you can just MC them again if need be.

  2. I think I still have a couple Cronus BPs from way back in the day, because I hoard everything. I keep thinking at some point they're going to come out with Dual Cronus Prime or something like that that requires a second Cronus and I'll go HAHAHAHA and instantly craft it and be the envy of all the Tenno.

    Or not.

  3. I ran an invasion mission in Uranus today for the Grineer and had some really annoying problems.

First of all, even though I was currently friendly with the Grineer I still kept getting flashbombed by those stupid broken light traps while on the Grineer ship at the beginning.

Then, after I hopped the pod over to the Corpus ship, the Corpus ship had Broken Light Flashbombs too! Were the Corpus attacking the Grineer to steal their flashbomb technology or what?

Then after I finished the mission, even though I'd fought FOR the Grineer, I get a mail from Vay Hek telling me I'd pay for interfering with them. Uh... What?

  4. I'd love to know this too. I think there's some kind of precept cooldown thing going, because it seems like if my Carrier's been blasting away at a bunch of stuff for a while then it takes a bit for it to start Vacuuming again, but if it's been idle and I run through a pile of drops it'll suck everything up at once.

  5. Lotus: "You may recall John Prodman, when you aided the corprus in battle against the Phorid.  Since then, Corprus has used that victory and an intense propaganda machine to elevate this corprus agent to hero status.  While we do not believe John poses a threat to the Tenno alone, his iconic status is swaying many to the side of the economic giant.  It is crucial to eliminate the Corprus poster boy before they can reap the benefits of this cultural icon.

We had Darvo's first custom mission against the Stalker based off a comic strip, so there's totally precedent for it.

    DE, MAKE IT HAPPEN.

  6. I definitely agree that MC needs some sort of change to at least make it more obvious that it's currently "friendly." Making it immune to now-friendly fire might help, though I can just as easily see people wasting time blasting away at some MC'ed Bombard wondering why it won't go down. I use MC all the time when I'm soloing but very rarely when playing coop since my target ends up getting killed by my teammates almost immediately.

Psychic Bolts could do with some changes too. Right now it's basically the Nyx version of Ash's Shuriken which doesn't fit in very well with the rest of her theme. Personally I don't use it, because of that and the fact that I can do a lot more damage with gun and blade.

  7. It is a bit idiotic to ask for a character to be slow slow that without half his mod slots taken up with stamina and speed mods he can't actually keep up with the squad to be of any use on a normal mission.

A standard Rhino will just spend the whole mission wandering through empty rooms picking up loot.

    This.

When I first got my Rhino, all I ever saw was the backs of everyone as they ran off into the distance. Sticking on a Vanguard helmet was one of the first things I did, even if it does mean lower power strength. Now, Rhino Prime being as fast as Loki? Yeah, that's a bit of a stretch and should be fixed. But don't go talking about how Rhino needs to be the Pokiest Warframe until you've waddled around behind the rest of your cell while they have all the fun.

  8. I'm in favor of adding Kubrows to the game. Seriously, how can you not want a WALLRUNNING ATTACK LLAMADOG?

I can't see DE really getting into Kubrow breeding and all that jazz, though. At its heart, this is a game about running around, killing dudes, breaking their stuff, and stealing the rest. While they do seem to be moving more towards an immersive out-of-mission experience with clan dojos and the coming mission hubs and Tenno ships, I can't really see them developing Tenno chocobos.

I think Kubrows are going to end up something like a rare drop from wild Kubrows. Maybe we'll get a Kubrow egg and we'll need some kind of "Orokin growth catalyst" from the Void to "grow" it in the Foundry. Three days later, voila, an adult Kubrow.

I don't think they'd be classified as sentinels, but I don't think that means they can't fill the same role. Obviously you're not going to be able to put Coolant Leak on your Kubrow, but there are plenty of restricted-use mods that can only be used on certain weapons (like the various Glaive-only mods), so I don't think it'd be too hard to release a set of "Companion" mods for your Kubrow. Movement mods, +armor, +health, and +damage mods all fit the bill just fine.

The two problems I see are this:

    1. Sentinels are all ranged attacks (with the possible exception of the aforementioned Coolant Leak) because you want to kill the bad guy Over There, not after he's run all the way up to you shooting the whole time. Kubrows would be hard pressed to have any sort of ranged attack unless you  do something like mount Akstiletto on their shoulders. That's going to have to be addressed. Maybe Kubrows have some kind of innate ranged attack (spines, spit acid, laser eyebeams, whatever), or maybe they can simulate a ranged attack by having it do some kind of dash to its target and bite its face off.

    2. There are already areas that get a bit crowded with just four Tenno, places like ship corridors and most Corpus rooms. Sentinels stay out of the way pretty well because they're fairly small and above head height. Kubrows are bigger and they're sharing floor space with Tenno. That's going to make some areas really crowded and chaotic. That might be fine from a realism perspective, but I don't know if it'd have a positive effect on the game experience.

Regardless, I can't wait to take screenshots of my Rhino or Nyx with a matching Kubrow. :D

  9. I'm cool with the Grineer finally having some internal security like Corpus. What I don't like is that it seems like some of the doors with active security don't have the little scanner beams shooting out of the spot over the door, so you run up to the door, it opens and ZAPPO. Maybe it's bugged or maybe they just need to make it a lot easier to see. Corpus cameras and laser doors are right in your face, easy to spot. Nobody ever tripped into a laser door (unless it gets triggered right as you walk through it, but that's another story).

What I hate are the stupid malfunctioning lights. The little purple arcs are almost impossible to see against the rest of the tile while I'm running and I have yet to figure out some way to spot the right place to shoot them out. Is that supposed to be the Grineer equivalent of Corpus turrets? If so, they need a LOT more work.

  10. Ether Sword - The lore for it pretty much states it goes back to the ancient Tenno days, so it's not a stretch for it to end up Primed.

Dual Ether - For that matter, there aren't any dual melee Prime weapons. This would kill two birds with one stone.

Kunai/Hikou - No thrown or silent secondaries yet, either.

  11. There's plenty of precedent for attack dogs in combat, going back centuries. In-game, we can already dress up sentinels with faces, tails, and wings. They're pretty much already pets, albeit robotic ones that spit death. They just don't look cute and cuddly. Well, except maybe for that one face that looks like a Zulu mask, that's kinda cute...

Anyway, I don't see the big difference between a floating gizmo with wings and a spinning tail and a llamadog that can wallrun if they both kill bad guys. The only differences are cosmetic. Seriously, A WALLRUNNING ATTACK LLAMADOG. If it's cute, that's just bonus eyecandy.
