  1. I know people hate it, but IMO RNG stats is a way to cater to all levels of players. Specifically this can be seen in liches. (There are def issues with the system, but the design is meant to work for all players). There is a low barrier for entry (complete war within), which means that the vast majority of players can access them. Then the rewards are random, along with the stats of the reward.

This means that a casual player can kill liches at their pace and mainly target getting the weapons. Regular players can also farm at their pace, with most focusing primarily on getting the weapons, but as they progress eventually focusing on stats and ephemera. Then finally there is the hardcore players, who will grind liches as fast as possible to get the max stats on all the weapons, and all of the ephemera. Trading effects this a bit, but it also results in some Hardcore players farming for liches to trade to the regular and casual players.

Basically each player has something to go after without feeling like they are locked out of content, or forever too far behind to catch up. A lucky drop (or trade) for a casual or regular player means they are on par with a hardcore player. While a hardcore player will have a slightly longer chase, as they want the best drops (for themselves and to trade).

  2. You can't recover acts that are the same as the current week. So if the recovered act is something like unlock 10 relics, it will not actually get recovered because it is technically complete for this week.

At reset for next week, after you complete those current acts, you should start getting more acts recovered.

My understanding is the issue is that there was a bug where recovered duplicate acts were auto completing but not granting standing. They got rid of that bug, but now they take up a recovered slot, but are not actually recovered and able to be done, so you get to the point where no recovered acts show. Once reset happens and the acts change you can then recover them, and get past them to the previous weeks.

  3. Sometime it doesn't automatically show recovered acts. Try doing a mission, sometimes that will reload the acts and show recovered. Also try relogging if that doesn't work.

You also can't recover anything that is a current act for this week. For instance, Kill profit taker is an act this week, once you complete it this week you cannot recover that act from a previous week. Next week, however, you can get it as a recovery act.

  4. IMO you should be forced to use starter plat on slots. (Similar to how mobile games give you some of the premium currency and then force you to spend it to teach you what it's used for.) That is the best use, and is recommended by the vast majority of players.

That would eliminate almost all of the complaints about untradeable plat.

Yes i know but the problem is we can't downgrading the clan because hema is researching

You can still downgrade while research is in progress. You can't downgrade if a build (either room or decoration) is in progress.

When you downgrade the research requirements will be reduced for any material that hasn't been funded. So if you already put in all the plastids you won't get those back, but your mutagen samples will go from 15k to 5k.

Is this a new drop, like since the last update that brought Gauss in?  I haven't done an arbitration in a few weeks but I've never had any vitus drop, just the single essence awarded per round after extraction.  Didn't know it dropped from any enemy at all... Maybe I'm just exceedingly unlucky to have killed, idk, thousands of them and rng never blessed me?

Vitus drops were a recent change to arbitrations and aren't on console yet.

It was an update after Gauss so it didn't make it over yet.

Are you sure though? For example, I have only one act from a previous week on my list, and I'm sure I haven't done everything else (specifically remember one of the thumper acts being bugged and impossible to complete, and there surely were others).

I can't state this with 100% certainty, but it has been my experience. And I have seen a couple of similar comments on reddit.

I started this nightwave a few weeks in, and spent a weekend working my way back through the first couple weeks. Multiple times I would complete an act or 2 then have only 2 or 1 showing. After traveling to my dojo or doing a mission most of the time 3 would show again. I got down to 1 challenge, thought I should have more based on my calculations. Tried traveling and didn't get one, then tried relogging and that worked. I did a similar thing a couple weeks later. I have since been playing a kind of week on/week off since hitting 30 and multiple times have found relogging worked to show me 3 acts.

It's possible that is doesn't always work, or that some acts are bugged, but it's a least worth a try.

from what i saw it said 400 plat, a bonus of 30 plat when i went and checked frost. When i bought it, the plat said 200 afterwards.

There are 2 different options for Frost.

Prime Vault ICE Prime Pack - which is $40 and includes 400 plat.

Prime Vault Frost Prime Accessories - $20 with 200 plat.

There has been no changes to these descriptions, and this was not a bait and switch.

Check your purchases (receipt from playstation and your credit card) and verify that you purchased the ICE pack for $40. If that is the case you should have gotten 400 plat. If you did get the ICE pack and you only got 200 then you need to contact support.

If your purchase shows as Frost Accessories then you only spent $20 and the 200 plat is correct.

  9. Each room has an energy drain. So most likely the issue is that you just need to build some more reactors.

Otherwise where you're trying to build the room it just won't fit, because it is blocked by something else close by.

  10. Current repeating events are the Acolytes, Plague Star, Ghouls Purge, Fomorian and Razorback Armada. They don't have a set schedule, but usually happen 1-2 times a year (acolytes, plague star) to every few months (fomorian, razorback, ghouls).

Fomorian and Razorback have rough estimates at the bottom of the invasion tab in game. Plague star is every 4-5 months (next ps4 one should be around march or april). Ghouls happen every couple months (currently active on ps4 but almost over). Acolytes are whenever DE decides.

Hmm. Well damn. I thought we had figured it out then.

    You lucky dog.

I cannot get any drops from my phone. Friends are encountering the same issue.

I can also confirm that I got the drop yesterday after watching on my iphone.

Are you using an iphone or something else? That could be the difference.

I was running some missions on Mercury to find the cephalon fragments there, and I was naturally running into a lot of new players, most under MR2.  As we talked, I find out that quite a few of them bought their Warframe with platinum, including frames like Rhino, Limbo, and Nyx.  I felt so bad that they spent their starting plat on a Warframe that's so easy to get.

When I explained how easy it can be to get a new Warframe, or corrected their thought that Excal/Mag/Volt were terrible because they were starter frames, they felt they wasted their plat.

I can see this turning new players off the game.  They quickly run out of weapin/frame slots but haven't been fully hooked yet to pay for more plat, so they stop playing.  I think the acquisition of frames and weapons needs to be more clearly defined for new players!  Maybe out a warning to not spend play until you know what you're doing? I dunno..

While I understand the frustration of feeling ripped off, I don't think this problem is on DE.

I think the only thing they should really do is make it clearer in the market when there is a blueprint to buy vs the fully built item. (maybe showing both more clearly/evenly on one page) Beyond that it is on the player to know what they are doing.

Any game with a market I assume everything is bought with a currency that requires really money. And if I look at what I have and see I have 10k of one resource vs 100 of another it is easy to tell which is the premium currency. If you don't plan I spending money, then it's on you to chose wisely how you want to spend your premium currency. Simply typing in whatever warframe you are interested in into google will lead you to the wiki that tells you how to get it right near the top. And with your example Rhino, the second result is "how do I get rhino parts".

When you vote for a game to receive an award that implies support efforts are in tip top shape, you as a consumer directly imply that bugs are under control or have little to no adverse effect.

This is the phrase I have the biggest issue with in your response.

Support IMO does not mean everything is perfect and no mistakes ever happen.

Support means that issues are acknowledged, addressed, and/or corrected. I think DE does a good job of doing that. While sometimes it make take longer than ideal, they do acknowledge when mistakes are made and fix them as soon as they can. Or they respond on issues and let us know why things are the way they are.

Look at some other games and you never see them admit there are bugs, and often when they do they take forever to fix it. Or they make changes the community didn't want with no explanation as to why. Other devs love to say "we're listening" when they actually don't care but DE say "we're listening" and actually are.

That is why I think they deserve the award.

So I bought the instruments needed and I tried to do it myself on YouTube but it never comes out right so im really hoping someone else has done this on Xbox and I can get it from you.

I'm not musically inclined at all and I've tried to do it but it just doesnt come out right so if there is a kind soul on Xbox who has these please share with your fellow Tenno.

Sorry i can't help by sending the song, but I can offer you some tips.

The way I do it from youtube is to pause at each section. Then carefully fill it out each column from left to right. Then I go back through and double check by instrument (percussion/bass/melody). That way you are looking at it differently each time, which makes it easier to spot a mistake. Then hit play and listen a few times through. If you are familiar with the song you can usually hear a mistake.  It can take some time, but once you get the hang of how it works its not too bad.

Also note that the sound packs make a huge difference when trying to copy a song, so using just the default doesn't work in most cases

check out this thread, for anything and everything song wise:

So this is a huge problem. Many of us don't have the time to put in when we get a 2 or 3 hour booster, yet it wastes away whether we play or not. I think this needs to be changed, big time!! The boosters should be used only when actively playing missions!! Our 1 day reward just gets wasted because we don't have time to use it. I know I can't be the only one here.

I always seem to get 3 hour boosters from my log in on days that I can't actually play.

While I don't think they can (or should) change it to in game time only. It would be nice to choose when to activate a short term booster. When you buy it from the market you go into it knowing it's active as soon as you buy so you can plan ahead. Not the case with ones you get as a reward.

Maybe they could put a time frame on it like, get booster as reward must activate withing the next 3 days or it will auto activate. That would give you a little leeway without you being able to stock up on them.

  16. Have you played other video games? There is always content that is locked or gated from new players.

Can you open any game and play the final mission? Get the best gear upon logging in? Get max level/stats from the start?

Every game has a different amount of work required to reach the point where you can get/do everything. Sometimes its hours, sometimes its days, sometimes its years. While warframe is very grindy, it barely locks anything very far. The highest required MR for any piece of gear is 14 (with only 4 items beyond 12, and warframes stop at 8). There are also plenty of primes that are not MR locked at all. (You can even get around some MR locks by buying the items from the market, including prime access).

While affinity farming is the fasted way to gain mastery it is not required. I'm MR20 and have only used affinity farm nodes to re-level after a forma.

So the answer to your question is yes it is a restriction for new players, but you don't have to affinity farm unless you want everything now.
