[Experience bug]

I'm not too familiar with things like this nor do I do them often so sorry if wrong section. But I was doing a couple of missions to level up some stuff and noticed my pistol would not gain xp and hardly and even if using I just blamed the game lagging but today my friend and I where leveling up I had 2 weapons to level and he had everything except his melee. 10 waves of sedan he gets 90k experience per item ( with booster) I get 38k between all my gear (with booster) and he was afk for most of it he got 3 kills I got 400+  I'll edit with pics
