  1. Then the Steel Meridian Commander Cressa Tal fits the bill perfectly.

"Led by a battle-hardened Grineer deserter, the Steel Meridian fight a guerrilla war against a vast enemy. They are sworn protectors of what little remains of the colonies."

Also I'd like to bring up solar rails, dark sectors and alliances/clans. I don't think they're considered part of the lore right now but if they are then that would prove the tenno are capable of leading an army of 1000's and taking minimal losses.

    Just food for thought.

Sorry, I could have worded my post better.

The tenno sees the sentients getting ready to shoot and trusts Umbra to pull them away. It is shown when we stab Ballas that the tenno and Umbra have a mental bond. Umbra stabs Ballas, his hand wavers (probably because he remembered that Balllas was an executor and killing him would be a terrible crime, although this is just my speculation) then the tenno drives the blade further into Ballas. This showcases that they think/act together (to a degree) which means it wouldn't be unreasonable to say that they both thought about/agreed on a course of action when the tenno saw the sentients raised their weapons.

That momentary pause in the sentients attack was enough time to safely transfer into Umbra.

At any rate The New War will be coming sometime mid-2019 and DE likes to keep the lore pretty vague. We'll just have to wait to see what happens.

  3. You don't have to have a single leader that controls an entire faction for it to work (see corpus) and the tenno have contacts with the steel meridian, arbitiers of hexis, new loka ect who would be more than willing to help us for their own reasons.

There are also not many tenno lore-wise, remember they only came from a single ship in a freak accident that never happened again. Compare that to the Corpus who have millions of people working for them/living in harmony (See cetus and how they stay alive thanks to the corpus traders) and they're all controlled by the divided Board of Directors.

  4. Umbra was posed so the tenno could easily transfer into him and the other sentients had stopped shooting, so I doubt it would be just to deflect an attack (which we see umbra doing by himself in the cinematic intro).

Umbra didn't hold back, he grabbed the tenno and pulled them away from the sentient lasers to a spot where they could safely use trasference. If he didn't the tenno probably would have been hit. Warframes are also more powerful when they are controlled by a tenno, so what umbra did makes perfect sense in terms of fighting Natah/Lotus.

I'm in agreement with you in that the tenno would have difficulty killing the Lotus/Natah, maybe even hesitating (although the tenno didn't hesitate to transfer into umbra in TS) and would probably be greving for her after the fact.

The point I was making is that the tenno have become stronger, made more responsible decisions and dealt with grief on two occasions. The first was when lotus left and the second was with Umbra during TS; remember how the tenno had trouble distinguishing themselves from Isaah's father?

Operator (Falcon/Owl): He's going to kill him.

Operator (Heron/Raven): He's gonna kill him.

    Ordis: Who's going to what?
Operator: Ballas. He's going to kill my... his... son, Isaah.
Ordis: But aren't these memories, Operator? You cannot undo what has been done.

^^Taken straight from the transcript on the Wiki.

Also are you forgetting the end of TS? Sentients shots lasers at the tenno after Natah finished speaking, Umbra helped the tenno get out of safety who transfered into the warframe taking full control and drawing their sword at Natah.

Not to mention the fact that Umbra is sentient (to a certain degree) and would kill Natah without hesitation if she harmed the tenno.

@Umbriellan It certainly seemed like a dream/flashback to me. The Lotus looked directly down the walkway (also the only entrance was the drop we took and I doubt Ballas would have jumped down there) and didn't even notice us, not even a glance when we were right next to Ballas!

MITW was reffered to by Rell as the "Indifference". It seems more like a chaotic neutral type of character.

  6. Interesting point. Although I doubt the tenno actually need a leader anymore. Here is a summary of what the tenno did during the cinematic quests so far:

The Second Dream: Couldn't walk anywhere, had to be picked up by Lotus and your Warframe. Also the tenno was unable to defend itself when grabbed by stalker.

The War Within: Provokes teshin, survives/gets through the dream (Mountain mission). Also ends up fighting the queens, taking the scepter (freeing teshin in the process) and incapacitating the Queens. Additionally the tenno learn how to use their powers properly and their tranference power becomes innate (lore wise allowing us to take over the bodies of other creatures, as showcased in TWW with the golden maw). Although the tenno started out following Lotus' orders, they made their own decisions (regarding the kuva scepter, fate of the queens and to attack the kuva fortress).

Apostasy Prologue: The tenno is a passive observer throughout the quest and was unnoticed by lotus (probably a dream/flashback). The tenno had to deal with the loss of the Lotus and set out to find her.

The Sacrifice: The tenno tracks down umbra, helps him recover from the traumatic memories of killing his son (completely turning him to the tenno's side), fights ballas and wins (although ballas is probably still alive) then sees Natah in her true from, and after the shock is over decides to find out where she went and what she's doing. The tenno in this quest decided what to do EVERY time. Ordis assisted but ultimately the tenno was the "Leader" and made every decision for themselves.

Notice something? The tenno gets stronger pyshically and mentally with each quest.

The tenno goes from Babylike (TSD) > Edgy (TWW) > Mature (TS).
