I’ve spent most of yesterday and the weekend as a whole off my computer, but decided again to do a few solo star chart missions to check the LoS changes. On top of the already stated and still existing issues with LoS failing with FoV changes, the friggen character model, and minor map geometry getting in the way… there are also for some dog aweful reason two cones of no ability effectiveness and sadness to the left and right of him within camera view. Even for enemies within the supposed 5m auto success window if they’re in those weird side cones of sadness just nothing happens to them. How did they manage to make LoS even worse? I thought they’d finally hit buggy rock bottom already but apparently my standards weren’t low enough. I’ll come back maybe if there’s yet another “fix” to see if it’s gotten even worse ‘cause this game is just a joke at this point, and I’ll still hang around the forums; but I’ve got model kits to paint and dedicate my newfound free time to.

Dante’s once again changed LoS is not hitting enemies within the 5 meter range if they are in these weird wedge shaped dead zones to the left and right of him within camera view. It‘s dog aweful trying to clear an annoying crowd you got stuck in only to have Jimmy the Butt Smacker and his buddy Tommy the Potato Hater hit you in the sides and erase your overguard because they managed to be in this weird cone of no ability effectiveness on your left and right despite being in clear view of the camera that was affected by neither of the two casts of Dark Verse or the following Tragedy. Please, I’m begging at this point just remove LoS entirely from Dante and reduce the range of Tragedy to be more in line with other frames like Xaku. This is ridiculous at this point.

Void that stream was a joke. “We CaN’t rEmOvE LoS bECaUsE iT hAs tHe BiGgEsT rAnGe In ThE gAmE.” Just reduce the range of the attack then and get rid of the buggy LoS that’s turned into a memory leak with your last “fix” Bye Warframe. It was a good ride but you’ve done little with this recent debacle except fully rank my Prime Disappointment.

I really wish I wasn’t. My jaw actually dropped when I saw that post in my notifs and had to actually leave my house for a while to cool back down from seeing red.

… Dante’s LoS check causes a memory leak. Lovely… definitely make a report in the bug subforum.

🫠 well DE finally responded to one of the threads about the Dante changes… to only comment about not finding a case where Mesa is affected by fps from a side conversation in that thread… Of all the things to respond to… this off topic subject…

I’m doing the best thing I can, which is returning to my hiatus and not using the Tennocon ticket I was gifted by a friend unless something actually changes. I’ll still read/comment on the forums but I don’t have a lot of hope.

At this point I really don’t think they deserve any credit for their claims of listening to us. It’s painfully clear they don’t and were just spewing the expected corporate PR crap to try to convince us to shut up.

I was in the middle of a 6 year hiatus ‘cause I’d gotten fed up with DE being scummy; I only came back from that hiatus at the very end of December because I was assured by a friend who still played that a lot had changed with DE’s design and development philosophy and I should give them another shot with the release of Whispers in the Walls. I’m going back to that hiatus ‘cause they went right back to their old terrible habits.

Is there any way for my friend to get a refund after gifting me a ticket to Tennocon? I got it as a gift the day Dante released and after everything that’s happened neither myself or my friend want to support DE by going to Tennocon this year. Would a support ticket even work?

This is absolutely abhorrent behavior… what the actual hell DE?! Giving the usual weekend of stupid silence and deleting threads is not going to work, it‘s just digging your grave deeper.

Not a terrible idea actually, if DE continues ignoring us. Anyone know how to contact IGN and/or PCGamer?

How long are you going to continue not acknowledging any of the feedback on the horrid changes you made to Dante and continue shoving cotton in your ears? If you actually value our feedback at all, remove LoS from Dante.

Helping the builds who rely on taking damage is a great start and finally addresses the actual issues brought up by the community on release, but adding LoS was still a massive mistake. LoS has been so broken for so long that every minor attempt to make it work really just breaks it further. We’ve seen this with many LoS additions in the past and we’re seeing it again now with your bandaids just compounding years of bug accumulation and ignoring of issues with LoS. Please revert the changes made to Dante’s abilities and stop with the LoS fixation.

Sorry Pablo, but this is not at all a fix to the issues being reported and feedback the entire community is giving you. Revert the changes entirely and just remove/reduce the Overguard given to allies. That’s all that thread you guys responded to asked for. And if you keep digging in your heels on this unnecessary change that didn’t even fix the anti-synergy with very niche builds; refund those of us who paid our hard-earned money on the supporter pack and paid platinum for the Warframe bundle because you all outright lied about what you were planning to do.

Every thing before the weird reset in the middle of today was stuff I didn’t have anymore or never built. I got “lucky” after the weird mid day reset because it gave me two things I owned; Revenant and the Nataruk. It was the opposite of fun, but I managed to eek out enough to 100% Elite Deep Archimedea anyway… with a whole lot of screaming in annoyance…

Please revert the changes or refund me for buying the chronicles pack. For the first time since 2015 I sincerely regret supporting you as a game development studio with my hard earned cash after the overwhelmingly terrible changes you decided to implement today.

I’m playing SP alchemy, because I finally got it unlocked, with my Kullervo and I keep running into random instances where I cannot roll at all. I had no enemies smacking me, I wasn’t knocked over. My mouse is perfectly fine, my controls have not changed, it’s just like rolling got turned off suddenly.

I just ran into this too. Failed two solo SP survival missions in a row despite using a build to help boost loot; because towers weren’t spawning in and there were barely any support drops from enemies in the 10 minutes I managed to last. Edit to add; I was playing Steel Path V Prime, I haven’t gotten a whole lot of the SP star chart unlocked yet.

His animation has him dipping his two pen-nib shaped fingers into the book before he makes the general signs for each cast with the same hand. I think he's just releasing the words for each effect from the book rather than making them himself.

I don't think they're directly tied to the requiem poem, but his casts do use void tongue. Light Verse says Ris when cast for instance, but I'm not 100% sure what the others are saying because they don't sound like the requiem words.

I'm running into an occasional issue in Star Chart missions where non-eximus enemies will just sometimes be completely immune to ability damage for no reason. They're still vulnerable to weapon damage but abilities do nothing.

Dress said in the prex voice lines that; So I believe personally that the attacks he's doing are just spreading the influence of the Indifference and the degenerative effects it has, just significantly faster than what we see throughout Albrecht's lab and what happened to the Cavia.

Where was that crowd crying about their wallets when Octavia made the game AFKable, and has continued to for literal years with no change? Laser focusing on Dante because he’s brand new feels disingenuous when other “trivially brain dead” frames are way worse.
