Only thing I'm worried about is how much back lash is going to happen when they evidently don't get everything done in the list.  it's the whole reason why I'm against companies that struggle with deadlines to make roadmaps, since it just causes rage from the community.

Frankly in this day and age i'm all for developers to have radio silence with it's community. Gamer's sense of entitlement have sky rocketed in the past decade.

For those wanting better ai, we'd have to have sky.net levels of AI for it to be of any use.

Ignore all the naysayers, dedicated servers are not as big a deal as these....lets stay "within" the rules and say "people", want you to think. I made a post(as well as probably a hundred others) about this as well and people came with the same uneducated responses. "its expensive"

Because it IS expensive. Best get that through your thick skull mate.

Price and maintenance cost are pretty big reasons to not do it, how ever there is a second one, Infrastructure both server and game. Does the server support the game's Infrastructure and does the game support the server Infrastructure.

But hey, it's just easier to declare the other side teh uneducated bad guys.

I agree. The game would benefit greatly from dedicated servers. Heck, if they're unsure, make a test year with a monthly 10$ fee, and call it server founders or so.. I'd be willing to pay.

Add a subscription and i leave, i'd wager others would as well. Subscription games are a cancer that thankfully are dying off.

Also if, and i say if i supported it i'd have to hold DE to a massively higher standard of quality due to that subscription service.
