Wait what? xD They accidently did something right and "remedied" it (aka brought back ze lazers) with the next hotfix? Did I get that right?

(still want my toggle though, I just feel safer with it if I can decide the light's intensity by myself. for safety. really. DE, it is health related. and AE aside I was able to play in full glory.)

Exacly that. When i saw it when it was ''fixed'', it felt so nice. I could see, i could have fun once again. My eyes stayed focused and i could spam missions like i used to in the past.

    But now? They gave it back. DE really need to understand that we dont have robot eyes, our eyes adapt acordingly to the light we see, so this adaptive exposure is worthless, it jsut casues our pupils expands and dilate or wahtever constantly, causing eye-strain, and for many of us, migraines. ;3;

I have to agree, I see those angels wings on like every third warframe nowdays and not only do they look completely out of place in a game like this, people dont even try to make it fit the fashion :D. I mean wings on zephyr might still work but something like Grendel, yak!

I guess next step is hats.

Indeed. If the y let wings get into the game, they might as well add those Proto Weapon skins they showed awhile back. Been waiting for those forever now .-.

  3. I have a feeling that nothing is ever gonna change, and this thread ignored. Feels like that DE sees Migraine as Trypophobia is viewed, (As Rob Dyke said, that everyone seems to have but nobody can barely spell it), and thus it ahs been ignored all this time?

If this is the case, we might as well start spamming bread, like High Resolution pictures of bread. Probably wont change anything (other than maybe make the devs hungry for bread).

    Spoiler

And yeah if you cant tell, im still frustrated myself about this whole thing with teh Adaptive Exposure buttom removal

    and heres some bread

  4. I have a feeling that no matter how much we howl, they wont bring it back.

I find it a bit odd, and sad how they do give people with colorblindness the options to adjust colors (Depending on what colorblindness they have), but doesnt give us with migraine problems the same treatment.

It be nice if we could get some response, even a technical explaination as of why we cant have it back. Turning off Migraine Exposure could lead to the game glitching out? Maybe the coding on the new rendering engine doenst allow it? Gotta be something they could tell us.

Yeah, come on DE. Just give us the toggle switch. As stated multiple times before by me on a plethora of other places: Autoexposure causes migraines for some. Yes, it's an accessibility issue at this point!

That is indeed true, and i am one of the people who suffers from migraines, and the Auto-Exposure isnt making that any better.

I mean, arent our own eyes doing that sort of job on their own anyways? Adjusts acording to the light in a room or image.

I tried that as well, and while it does stop Ruk from blacking out my screen, it doesn't do anything about the general screen brightness changing as a result of environment light (eg. go into a cave on orb vallis, stay for a few seconds, then turn around, leave the cave and greet the nuclear dawn; this is the most extreme and obvious example, moving around in the orbiter also causes it at a lesser level and is still annoying) and prevents me from seeing a lot of important things such as kuva clouds, trinity link lines, zenurik energy regen bubbles and nullibubbles.

The state of the game right now is that I can only get the information that I need to play the game if it's served with a dose of eye cancer, which is a terrible tradeoff.

Indeed. Honeslty all this could have been avoided, if DE didnt nuked the Adaptive Exposure switch. I mean, we have options for those who are colorblind (And different variants for different colorblindness) for accessability, so why not for people who suffer from migraines due to eye strains?

I really do hope they re-enable the option again in a future hotfix or patch.

I'm already doing that. While it reduces the intensity of autoexposure, it does not cure it. I still get the screen turning completely black when Ruk uses World on Fire, I still get painful burning nuclear dawns when exiting venus caves and the general screen brightness still goes up and down and up and down simply from moving around (with the resulting headaches and eye strain being as strong as ever).

understandable, but so far, this is one of the only methods we have sadly. If you get the screen nuke, set teh effect intensity back to the lowest.

  8. I found some new discovery, and this one is pretty simple. If you havent, disable Bloom entirerly. It may look nice in some areas, but ultimatly, its not worth the eye strain. What i discovered is that the Adaptive Exposure reacts strongly to Bloom, like alot.

So if you like, try set the Effect Intensity to something higher, like 30 or 40 or so, and turn off bloom and see how it goes.

Well, guess I'm doing that now. I've heard that this makes it almost impossible to see nullicancer bubbles and kuva clouds, but if that's the price for being able to actually see what's going on in the game, then so be it.

Let's try; here's another image of me being hit by Ruk's World on Fire:

    Warframe0004.jpg

It's still not perfect - my eyes hurt just moving around in the orbiter, but at least I can see what's about to come up and hit me now. Unfortunately, I can barely see any of my own weapon or power effects, my small child mode's energy bubble is almost invisible and while I can now see enemies around me, I have no idea what or if they're shooting at me unless it's something obvious like a flamethrower.

It still looks like arse due to colour incorrection being forced on everyone in the last patch (hence the brown tint), but that's another matter entirely.

Certainly better than before. What i recommend (If you ahvent done so already) try set the particle System quality and GPU Particles on max. I can see my own effects and weapon effects quiite fine, maybe not as intense, but its there.

But it sure hell is better than suffering severe migraines, and we, as players souldnt suffer from it. So for now, i will always have the effect intensity to 10.

  10. After some experimentation, i have discovered that the Adaptive Exposure is as stuborn as Stalker wants you dead.

The idea behind a reverse value eye adaption didnt work (Tried 2 versions). While they could lighten up the scene when there is alot of explosions and flames, going outside of it will cause the screen to turn white, or washed out.

But during my experimentations, i found an interesting revelation. Apparnelty the Effect Intensity plays a huge part with this issue we experience.

As you can see, different values affects not only the intensity of the effects, but apparently the Adaptive Exposure as well. (And yes, i used Garuda's adorable butt as a reference, shad aph ~w~ )

While not a fix, it is a decent workaround until DE understands that, Adaptive Exposure isnt everyone's cup of tea. Also, using Reshade can give players the ability to fix colors and lighting for a more comfortable experience for the eyes.

After looking into Reshade a bit, I'm a little hesitant to try it since someone is claiming they got VAC banned from using it while playing CS:GO recently in Reshade's forums. Granted they didn't know what punctuation or capitalization were, buuuuuut... I'd be interested to hear your results.

I used Reshade for Warframe in the past, and so far DE hasnt had any problems with it. But if i do get the desired results, i make sure to post it here.

If the game has actively reduced in performance since 2013, then something has gone seriously wrong.

Also, look at this wonderful immersively realistic screenshot. Is the supposed performance increase due to the game not rendering most of the screen because it's decided to just black everything out except for a few flame textures in the foreground?

    Warframe0003.jpg

    Fricken, jikes ._.

Good thing that the grineer dont use LED Armors, that be their ultimate weapon against us.

But for real, this is horrible, and for someone who suffers from migraines, it makes playing more difficult, and i have been trying to find ways to counter this Migraine Exposure. One idea i have yet to try, but thinking of is using Reshade with EyeAdaption with reverse values. No idea if that would work but, if it does, then that be quite the win for us with migraine problems.

  13. Having the brightness fluctuating strains my eyes alot, and during combat, especialy those bigger ones when there is lots of particles, bloom effects, explosions, all that stuff is going on, the EyeStrain Exposure causes the screen to darken alot, but also keeps most of the bloom visible and wash things out.

Warframe is visauly a gorgeous game, especialy with all the upgrades it gotten, from PBR Rendering, new shaders, better textures and animations and all that, but this adaptive exposure is making it incredibly hard to admire all that hard work in clarity.

Some people may prefere it on sure, but some people dont. Giving us the option would be a better choice, cause that way you can please 2 kinds of people. Those who love it, and those that dont.

Just my take on the whole thing.

just use a heavy attack to instantly heal better than consuming energy

Amen to that. And since heavy attacks are monstorusly alot higher damage (Atleast from im seeing with the numbers) you get max healed most of the time, altoguh i dont really know what number Lifestrike is calculating from, but it works nicely.

Personaly im just happy that manual blocking is back .w.

  15. I suspect that the core would be untradable or something, like how (atleast what my memory recalls) platinum you have as starter is untradable.  Its just my guess really.

And about release date? Defintly not today im sure, so probably next week if things goes smoothly.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention. You also need to enable that 2-Factor Authentication thingy to even trade. So i think it would make their greed a little more inconvinient. as folks mention here, the systen would flag the accounts and they get a pretty bad time.

Its possible that they might be moving your post (Alongside with others) and combine them with a bigger, more contained version, but thats just my guess.
