i feel like people miss the point of what makes the game fun...
OP talks about how unnecessary the meta of nuking is, then negates and puts down fun warframes like vauban. (and miswrite his name! how disrespecful.)
vector pad is useless? it's a good mobility tool to zoop through a long tile, which can be situational but still pushes enemies back. let them pile up in a corner and wipe them out, or just keep them outside so another player can kill them.
flechette orb obviously scales well with damage.
tether coil is like a precise and more situational bastille, for fewer enemies. i never use it...
overdrive increases damage by a percentage, which can also apply to the vauban user.
and then nyx...
her first ability is obviously not used for killing enemies, even if the band-aid mod leads you to believe that. it's a long duration decoy to draw fire off of nyx herself.
her second ability could have the stun augment built-in, but DE seems to really hate the idea of adding the augments into the abilities for whatever dumb reason, so certain abilities never flourish properly to the level they should be by default. really silly.
the third ability makes all enemies virtually not fight you, which lets you kill them without worry. the decoy acts as a soft version of this ability, that you can cast everytime it runs out to increase your survivability.
her fourth is too slow for this game, way beyond "The Death of Crowd Control (more like a little coughing)", it's just really slow and weird to use. it would work well in older versions of the game, way way way way. 8-9 years ago back. these days it's like an ability from a different game. that's how weird this ability feels to use.
but yeah, my main point being besides defending the qualities i see that most people seemingly don't see in favor of efficieny in gameplay (at least i assume it to be that), is what kind of fun do you even want then? if vector speed is uncalled for, and so are nukes, then what middle-ground are we meant to have?
crowd controls, heavy hitters (with 0 nukes, as they are quite boring and actual delete buttons. like actually. delete buttons. that's silly.) and supports? that's the ideal path i see, but nukers are currently very much ingrained in the identity of this game. they're not going away.
this game is drowning in the ashes of the past (thanks Kreator), and i think reworking of older warframes is truly the most reasonable option. except these are kinda rare and not a focus because they don't actively bring in money. then there are weapons... which are left to dust so that their prime versions can come in later. like way later. the zylok has poopy stats, and is fundamentally awkward to use. the duplex trigger mechanism only works for the tigris because it's a shotgun. but for a pistol, with 8 shots (practically 4)? it just doesn't work. it needs more, and more crit chance. 8% is really crap for a precision pistol. good thing they fixed these issues besides the firing mechanism, with the prime version. that only took 4+ years. also the prime version looks uglier. what i did, is add some gold to my zylok so it actually looks like a good prime zylok. before the proper prime version, even.
anyways, this game is riddled with problems.
