  1. I’m sorry but I strongly dislike your proposed nerf to her 1. It sounds very unnecessary, just like how DE decided to remove Xaku’s ability to recast Grasp of Lohk when they have max turrets.

To scrap all that to not overshadow a frame that's been begging for a rework due to being so many miles behind other, newer frames is just backwards design.

    YES. Exactly!

Loki's design should be improved to Xaku's standard, Xaku shouldn't be dumbed down to Loki's level.

SO MUCH THIS. Say it louder for the people in the back please!

Grasp of Lohk: I am so glad we can recast until we have all of our weapons but one tiny gripe I have is we can't recast to refresh the duration when our weapon total is full.

This is the only problem I have with the round 2 changes. It makes casting and synching all of the turrets a struggle because I don’t want them to have seperate durations.

Apparently it’s an intentional change so Xaku isn’t a better “disarmer” than Loki. That excuse for why we can’t recast at max arsenal is pretty non-sensical, because they can allow us to refresh it’s duration (how it was initially intended) without disarming...Xaku really needs that QoL back.

And they need to revert the change to where Xaku’s turrets will turn black like almost seconds after casting. Such an unnecessary change. I miss my vibrant green turrets.

  4. I haven’t played Lavos but I thought of an idea for his 1.

Make his 1 to where his snakes will seek out enemies, latch onto them and siphon health to Lavos while emitting zones of toxin damage.

When Lavos passes through those zones, the toxin can imbue his other abilities to create viral/gas/corrosive.

Or we can keep how it works currently to a quick tap cast, and you can hold cast on 2 different enemies to send the snakes out.

Not a bug. Xaku cannot recast Grasp while being fully supplied with guns. The intended use for this power is that you will use it to amplify your firepower with auto-guns, not to be a superior cheaper version of Loki's Radial Disarm.

I’m extremely baffled at such a tremendous sh*t take. This behavior is intended?! Does he not understand how this negates the entire synergy between VU and GoL and to an extent, Gaze?

It’s not even the fact that you can’t disarm anymore at max arsenal, it’s that retaining the max arsenal prevents further casts, which means if I want to keep up properly with enemies in any kind of scaling content, I’m prohibited from using VU for it’s intended effect, which is sustaining an even longer duration on my abilities to reduce the strain on my energy economy.

Why am I prohibited? Well, if I took turrets from level 70 enemies, and I’m now facing level 100 enemies with level 70 turrets thanks to VU, well...I mean, it’s pretty self-explanatory. 😑

Xaku (I haven’t received the r2 changes yet as I’m on console - thankfully) provides such a satisfying loop where you acquire your arsenal - gaze a target (which, I would like to see changed to where Xaku can just erect a pylon instead of locking down a target) - and then sustain/manage a zone of dps & debuffs with your proper recasts of VU. This gameplay style was the most fun I’ve had in WF in quite a while, and I’m lowkey (highkey) offended DE took that away from us. 🙇🏽

Here goes DE thinking they know everything. If this “intended” change doesn’t get reverted, I’m tossing both my Xakus out the airlock. 🤗

    - Can't recast when at max ghost-weapons, which means I can't refresh duration and I also can't disarm enemies.

It should replace the lowest duration ghost-weapons with the ones from nearby enemies, updating their duration, regardless of how full you are.

Yes, this would actually be much better than how it functions at the moment.

Currently, the Vast Untime synergy with Grasp of Lohk is broken in missions with scaling enemy levels.

Why they made this change is beyond me, but it can be fixed with your suggestion.

after today's update xaku can no longer recast grasp of lohk or accuse at max turrets/targets, this is pretty jank if you want to make better use of the disarm functionality or are in a mission where enemy level changes, where you then have to uncast the vast untime and wait until either timer ends. not sure if this is a bug or part of the new changes but either way they should be fixed to be recastable at any time, even if it means the recast causes you to lose turrets/accuse targets.

Good f***ing Lord this is exactly what I was worrying about when they announced these changes.

Why was this implemented? DE, please undo this change, this ain’t it.

I spent a lot of time min/maxing 2 Xakus and don’t want to have to stop using them because of these changes. 🤬

  8. I’m not on PC, but from what I’m reading, it looks like Grasp of Lohk needs to be reverted to how it was before the round 2 changes.

Or at least let Xaku recast it’s 2 irregardless of weapon cap. I just knew changing it’s functionality to mirror Shadow’s of the Dead was gonna be a bad idea.

As someone who avidly mains 2 Xakus with 8 and 6 forma spread across each, please don’t ruin this frame. (:

  9. Great! I can’t wait to finally use Xaku, they’re so much fun, but their current state is...crippling.

“Heart of Deimos: Interim Update 29.2.1” has officially been sent to Cert!

We are also remastering our textures and lightmaps game wide - When the update goes live, Warframe will go from ~64 GB to ~31.2 GB after it has been fully downloaded again! This is part of the first steps we are taking towards the “ensmallening” on consoles that we’ve seen over on PC - more details in the official dev workshop here. Keep in mind the information in the workshop was specifically directed to PC users at the time, but the following quote is relevant to our efforts towards this specific remastering on XB1:

More changes will come in stages, but for now we are starting with textures and lightmaps. Due to the remastering, Warframe will be re-downloaded in its entirety. This will appear no different from any other update, business as usual! It will download in the background as is expected with all updates.

Here are some things to keep in mind before the update goes live:

    • You do NOT need to delete Warframe before the update.
    • You do NOT have to back-up your data before the update.
    • Your Warframe settings should be saved after the remaster launches, but we have run into issues in the past where they have - we apologize if this occurs!

Once we have passed Cert we will share the news and an official launch time!

Note: Us Canadians have a long weekend coming up (Monday, Oct 12th the “studio” is closed)! So you will likely hear from us later on in the week next week on Cert status.

Also, please let the team know about this bug that’s affecting the current prime unvault. Thank you so much.

  10. There is currently a tremendous bug affecting syandanas with external effects (I guess you can call them “energy tails”), most notably the Uru Prime and the Misa Prime, that disables their current state of colorization, and sends them back to their default state.

There’s several instances of how this bug is affecting syandanas, and most notably, is the one in Railjack. Your chosen energy colors completely vanish from the syandana, and turn default blue:

    Railjack bug is very noticeable.

This bug extends into other parts of the game that are hard to go unnoticed.

Going down in a mission completely removes your desired colors as well, along with all your immersion:

This is easily reproduced in the simulacrum by the way.

Navigating through your arsenal, and switching into archwing all trigger a flickering effect, that triggers my extreme OCD, now that I’ve noticed and become hyper-aware of the issue:

It happens for a split frame, the more you watch, the more you become aware - the more it consumes you.

I can’t even enjoy wearing the Misa Prime in it’s current condition, because I know I’ll suffer for trying to enjoy a consistent experience that won’t disrupt my game-flow.

Please, I urge that this get’s looked into, and hopefully fixed. Most of the game (for me) which is fashion, remains unplayable. Thanks.

Out of curiosity, which colors are being lost on the Syandana? Does part of it just flicker to a default state for about a frame, and return to normal, etc.?

I've actually had that happen with the Deru Syandana in this case, if it helps to know:

As far as I know, these issues are still present in the current console version.

    • I'll see if the Deru Syandana glitch I found also occurs outside of Empyrean when you switch to Archwing / die during it or on foot.

Yes! It will flicker to it’s default blue color for like a frame, just as you described, when moving around in your arsenal, or when exiting it.

For instance, i have 2 shades of red on the “energy tails” on one of my configurations, and they will flicker blue when changing to a different load-out, or switching back and forth between the other different configurations.

And as a matter of fact, today I decided to switch to the Uru again, and lo and behold its now suffering from the same bug as the Misa! What gives? I went into the simulacrum and tested this specifically. Each time I die, the energy tail defaults to blue.

I know this is petty, but it really f**ks with me when I die in a mission, and the whole syandana loses its entire customization that I spent applying to it. I have OCD and to see this glitch so frequently makes me highkey irritated.

For the most part yeah. That said, red crits aren't everything, I have a few ~10% crit weapons that I built for crit anyways :P

Yeah, status is super fun, just watching all the bleeds melt everything ahaha. I was curious to try out the EkIIJai on a machete after watching a video of someone killing level cap enemies with a Machete Wraith!
