  1. this isnt strictly right, using an excaliber and killing with radial javelin will level your weapons, its the main method used to grind rep but also levels weapons at a good speed

     

    Any experience you'd get would be from your allies' kills; Radial Javelin only gives your Excalibur experience. If you're the only Excalibur in the party, you'll receive significantly less experience. In fact, there was someone complaining about this on reddit the other day. He didn't understand why he was only receiving ~100k experience when his allies were getting 600k+. His allies had ~35 kills each while he had over 3k.

    I would disagree somewhat with everyone saying you can't level by using warframe powers, having just re-leveled several weapons I forma'd I can say you do, in fact, get some amount of exp from using powers alone, since I never touched the weapon while doing it and getting the few affinity orbs was not enough to completely level the weapons as fast as I did. 

    Unfortunately, you currently do not receive affinity from using powers. It's been bugged from aroun 15.6-ish, so that is strange.

    Were you with allies or did you complete your mission challenge?

     

    I totally agree. I have been running Cerberus with my Mirage, and I can level any weapon from unranked to around level 25-26 in a single 4-wave run without affinity boosters, if that is the only weapon I have equipped. I know the wiki says that Warframe ability kills give 100% affinity to the frame, but from gameplay experience, the wiki seems to be wrong in that particular fact. I think the "default split" of 25% Warframe/75% weapon applies whoever makes the kill, because it usually takes longer to level Warframes than weapons.

     

    I've tested this time and time again and the results were always the same: it's 100% to your Warframe. DE has even confirmed it back when they changed Sentinel experience mechanics. Admittedly, I have not tested it after the past or or two patches, but it should not have changed.

     

    EDIT: See patch notes for 11.3.0:

    "Kills using a Warframe ability give all the experience to the Warframe (as before)."

    Affinity mechanics have not been changed since then.

     

    Warframes also take longer to level because they require double the affinity.

  2. i tried kiste, killed more than 1k enemies, no prosecutor or sometimes 1.

    I tried hijack, between 1 and 4 prosecutor per mission.

     

    The fact you can't heal the core just mean you can't stay forever, but you can still restart the mission you know...?

    Of course. There was never implied...

     

    The question was obviously about the number of prosecutors in each mission. I have no played Ceres hijack since I finished Hydroid so I was asking.

  3. NOTE

    It appears that any duration less than 25% results in only a single tick of damage, therefore too much duration reduction is not good. There's one more build that might result in more damage, but I didn't test it. That would be Arcane Chlora Helm, Fleeting (3/5), Transient Fortitude (max). This would result in a duration reduction of 72.5%. I don't know how the 2.5% less duration reduction will effect the 5% power strength gain, it might be close to a wash. You'd probably be better off using the Scenario 6 build above, along with the Arcane Hemlock helm. Better efficiency and better movement speed.

    The extra reduced damage tick due to fractions of a second may/does not show a damage pop-up. That was my experience way back when i first tested it. You will still see their health drop visibly.

  4. It's been a bug for a few updates now, yes. EDIT: Based on other comments, since around Hotfix 15.5.8?

     

     

    I just ran 4 waves on stephano and 2 on draco and got 6k affinity and 4k affinity respectively. This is either a bug or a response to rep farming. My friends are getting 200k exp from these runs but I myself am getting almost nothing.

     

    This would be a seperate issue, if it is one at all. What we're talking about is the 25-100 affinity you get from casting a skill.

  5. Enemies in Nightmare alerts deal more damage than normal.

     

    As for the experience bug, do you have numbers to support it? Is it possible you were out of experience range?

     

    EDIT: Not getting the same bug. I'm still receiving full experience even without using the weapon once.

  6. TS don`t listen them. On your screenshot bugged calculation. Less exp you gain is solo. It only half of weapon you use. Let say you run only whith main. You kill 100+ enemys, even if they 10 lvl - you must get 2-3k exp to secondary and melee exp pool too (and about 4-5k in main). Even if you full lvled your main - you still get full exp rules, Just on main weapon it burned.

    I have same bug few times a day ago and few hours ago. Now it fixed. But when you place your topic - you was right - you catch bug. And DE must be informed about it. Don`t delete your post and your text. And don`t listen forum noobs.

    If you kill an enemy with a weapon, half of the kill experience goes to your Warframe and half to the weapon. It's always been like that. You never received experience on other weapons.

  7. Er... you have never received affinity for weapons unless you used them, teammates got kills, affinity orbs dropped, or challenges were completed.

    That has never been my experience. I've done plenty of rep farm runs with rank 0 weapons that I do not touch during the mission, and they're rank 30 by the end.

  8. I'm no longer receiving affinity for casting abilities. Most of the other people I asked in-game are experiencing the same thing.

     

    Fixed! Thought it was fixed but it was an isolated case.
