  1. First of all,

Reading and posting in the forums is natural.

People have the right to read and post. (Unless they been warned too many times)

There just giving their opinion of the matter.

We not all closet bronies, just haters of bronies.

Reading and trolling you mean. Nothing positive is accomplished by you(this applies to all haters) coming in here in off topic to spread more hate and discontent. Surely your time is better spent elsewhere, like joining the Genderswap discussion or something...

It's still remarkable how many people have nothing better to do with their time than to come into threads related to things they hate and spend their time being negative. Go outside or something sheesh.

  2. I have a Razer Black Widow keyboard so I wrote a macro for one of the buttons that spams the melee button as fast as possible :P this lets me keep the melee attack on my normal spot (mouse 4) and then if I want blendtec mode I hit the macro button :D

  3. It's just a trend. You don't see masses of people going all gung-ho over the powerpuff girls, barbies, Dora the Explorer, or any other kids show of that nature.

It became the coolest 'uncool' thing to like, so all the outcasts latched on.

Actually, it's not just a "trend". Many people who like the show are actually very big fans of powerpuff girls as well, not so much barbies or Dora. It has actually been theorized that should PPG have been released in our current culture of social media/internet it would be just as big a deal. This is because Lauren Faust has done an excellent job of making these "girly" shows break the sterotypical cliches usually found in them. I would explain more but I doubt you actually care. If you do, Google is over that way.

Bronies are the hipsters of the vagabond internet sub-culture. They only like it because it's 'trendy' and garners attention from everyone else. MLP has been around since the 1980's. Nobody was obsessing over it then or after that, up until this new series came out and 4chan went apeS#&$ (though the message and content was essentially the same).

Wrong again. Nobody obsessed over the previous generations of MLP because quite honestly... They sucked. Now that the show actually has good writing and an excellent animation style it appeals to far more people. 4Chan did bring a great deal of attention to the show, but the popularity of the show has now far outgrown anything 4Chan could have ever imagined.

The proof is in the pudding. You introduce yourself, identify yourself by MLP for some reason, and claim you're not a pedophile. These are all completely unecessary. I like Slipknot, that doesn't mean I go around explaining that I'm a "maggot" and explain I'm not a murderer or a rapist (though I'm sure there's some that would view slipknot fans as that).

He is very justified in doing what he did. It is oddly socially acceptable for males and females to like Slipknot without any social stigma (other than grandma thinking your new age noise makes you a devil worshiper). However, many people in our society treat bronies with a completely different attitude. Some people hate bronies because a number of the "herd" make their presence obnoxiously known by interjecting ponies into everything. This of course does not personally bother me because, like most of geek culture, this seems perfectly in line with how we work. Trekkers turn everything into a Trek reference, Star Wars fans have a force or yoda joke up their sleave at all times, Whoovians think everything looks like a dalek, etc.

Other people hate bronies because they are so ridiculously insecure with anyone in society thinking outside the magical guidelines they belive to be what's considered normal that they lash out at anything they don't understand. I have also been on the same side of the ridicule that RD has and trust me it gets very old very fast. I always find it funny, while being a full time employed, tax paying, law abiding, heterosexual male, somehow that gets completely cast asside the instant someone finds out I like MLP....

I think the new Ninja Turtles show was alright, that doesn't mean I go around identifying myself as a 'turtley turtle mutant in a half shell pizza man' and go around saying Kowabunga. You are throwing it in people's faces for no apparent reason. At least come to terms with that fact. I'm not lecturing you, do whatever you want. But at least call it for what it is instead of acting like you're being crucified by the masses.

We don't think MLP:FIM is "alright". We absolutely love the show. I don't speak for RD or any other brony, but I personally can't get enough of the fan contributions to the community. From animation, art, comics, music, plushies, etc it is simply amazing to see how much untapped creative talent there is out there in the world. If someone came in here named LordVaderness, ObiWanTenno, NinethDoctor, LocutusOfBorg, or hell even IronMan, you wouldn't ridicule them for throwing their love of those IP's in your face so why is having a pony name any different? Oh right, it's not, and I have never once in my life recieved the level of ridicule for identifiying with one of those shows/movies/comics as I do with MLP. We don't act like we're being crucified by the masses. We are, however, constantly ridiculed for enjoying something out of the ordinary and it's really a shame since the thing we enjoy so much has actually made a lot of peoples lives better.

Aside from my pointless logical analysis, welcome to Warframe :/

    Pointless, probably. Logical, hardly.

Sorry if this derails your thread RD, wouldn't be the first time I/we get in trouble for sticking up for something we enjoy :(

I look forward to, hopefully, seeing you in game sometime. Welcome to WF and stay Pony my friend. :)

P.S: Welcome to all the other new people in the thread :D

  4. Yeah this also happened to me :/ I made the mistake of missing a log in last week and ever since i've been making sure I log in even if I have no time to play just to get it back to three star level and when I logged in tonight it was back to day one >_<.

I personally still think a full reset is a bit harsh if you miss a single day. Maybe having it degrade by a day for every day missed instead of a hard reset would be a better way of not punishing the player but meh that's for another discussion. Besides, this seems more like a server error this time since so many people got hit with it.

  5. Just did this alert with a friend for the Storm Volt helm BP. We killed Hek, then got a secondary mission to capture a target. Did that as well, then ran to extraction. When we got to the pods, the game migrated me off the host like a dc even though we were both still playing but my mission wouldn't end.

The pod we were standing at was also missing like it flew away but the mission would not complete for me at all. It also respawned all the enemies in the area in my instance of the game.

My friend tried to rejoin to help "refinish" the mission but every time he joined he just got a mission completed window >_>

I ended up just quitting the mission because there was no way for me to complete it anymore and it wouldn't end. Kinda sucks not getting the BP but there is always next time.
