  1. 2019.04.09 - Sortie Mission 3 - Lua/Copernicus, Mobile Defense (Radiation hazard). Mission started fine, Console 1 and endurance drift test, console 2 and cunning test, then I picked up the data mass and headed to console 3. When I arrived at the panel I was unable to interact with it, I tried switching weapons and did not drop the data mass. Unable to start the console 3 hack I completed the power test but was unable to intact with the mod reward at the end. It appears that I was unable to interact with anything. I allowed myself to be downed by the enemy fire and respawn with no change, and tried the /unstuck command just because I couldn't think of anything else. The second player was the host, they quit and after host migration still no data mass. Will link to this post with my support ticket and EE.log

  2. When using Redeemer Prime and holding melee attack to perform a shot I am often interrupted by the blocking animation and find it frustrating because I don't have control of my character's action. I would much rather have the charge attack take higher priority and would be willing to accept that charge attacks require a commitment by the player and you cannot auto-blocking during it. Thanks!

  3. Are there any roadmap plans to convert the scan harvest items (such as flowers, pinecones) into melee harvest?

The weekly elite event to fight Grove Specters reminded me the open world areas introduced the pickups that weren't as flow breaking as having to stop and scan them. Once you have the codex entry then Helios will also stop scanning them for you. Thanks!

[edit] The Helios Simaris mod already allows you to continue scanning enemies and reveals weak spots, maybe adding the ability to also continue scanning plants?

  4. In phase 1 of the fight you pick up the containers and have a message on screen to throw the container, however, when you throw the container the screen says "shoot the container" and when you do it blows up in your face and doesn't hurt the enemy. It took several attempts to realize that I am just supposed to throw the container to melt the ice. Suggest changing text to "Melt Ice with thrown thermia containers" and to add waypoints to the orange/active thermia containers in both phases

The coolant raknoid spawns on phase 2 of the Exploiter Orb fight are problematic. I believe the intention is that the coolant adds should have to walk far enough to the Exploiter so that the player has an opportunity to intercept them. However, the Orb will stick to the mountain, and coolant orbs only seem to need to be out of line of sight to spawn. This results in many coolant raknoids spawning just on the opposite side of the mountain, taking a handful of steps, and firing coolant. I haven't been able to lure exploiter away from the rocks so there's no chance to mitigate this. Also the exploiter's movements aren't nearly as predictable or easy to avoid on the sloped terrain thereby making the fight even harder. I would suggest keeping the orb off the hill at least, but alternatively you could use the raknoid airborne entrance animation and by that method drop them in a more generous pattern. As it stands, especially for solo players, the fight is pretty brutal.

[Edit] I would also like to add that it's very unclear how useful throwing the containers of thermia are in phase 2 if it is at all.

I am enjoying that this is a very different type of fight and appreciate that this is the first day of the content. Thanks for hard work!

  5. My last three attempts to complete the "network collapse" bounty from Eudico in Fortuna have failed due to bug. Attempt 1 failure on stage 5 where assassination target spawned outside of designated space, in order to fight it we failed the mission. Attempt 2 failed due to our team getting separated when the UI stopped matching for us, defense target died. Attempt 3 failed when barely half the number of required ospreys spawned during allotted stage time.

I am livid. I have very limited time to play games and now my whole morning sums to 0 because of bugs.

  6. Frustrated. After most recent hotfix I played a syndicate spy mission solo with the hacking moa, after successful hacks I attempted to reach exfil but a GREEN door blocked my path out of the mission. Enemies were attempting to enter room but it would not open for them or me. I could see their guns sticking through the door and was able to shoot them, but we were all unable to walk/roll/bulljump/voidjump past. I also attempted jumping into pit for a reset, I also allowed an enemy to kill me so I could try a respawn, which failed a riven. I could not attempt a 2 stage lockdown and release as my MOA kept unlocking then panel. Looking for medallions in that mission took a long a time and to lose all my progress like that...

  7. I run the void a lot, and Control Modules drop like crazy. In light of this, I have two suggestions for using them.

The first is a consumable repair kit for bringing sentinels back to life during a mission.

Second is the ability to craft a syandana that is an Opulas but entirely out of control modules. It should require as many control modules as are visually present in the attachment.

  8. After thinking about the feedback, here's another idea.

Obtaining Ducats the way that you currently do, but by adding the Baro faction you still have a way to buy the specific part blueprints.

Baro would sell ALL of the blueprints you have to grind for, but you would still need to farm the void and convert unwanted items to Ducats. That way you still need to farm for parts, and would still try to farm the part you need, but you have an avenue to buy specific items.

Also, what about the Prisma items? With the new Void moon tileset coming Prisma excavation missions could be added and use the same systems I proposed above?

  9. I had a shower thought that I needed to share with the community. As a Grandmaster Founder from when there were talent trees and a solar map (which will be making it's triumphant return) I have seen the game get progressively better with each iteration. As a high mastery rank player I have to spend a lot of time in the void and my frustration stems from the significant time investment of setting up a PUG, and then still being at the mercy of the RNG. In an early dev stream DE_Steve talked about how flipping an existing system on it's head is better than mildly tweaking it. It's with that philosophy in mind that I came up with this outline.

    Void Trader Faction

The core of this revamp would be adding Baro as a faction. Items obtainable from the void are broken out into faction rank tiers. For example, the T4 Rotation C items would be the last to be unlocked by this system.

I think that keeping “Baro's Bounty” on his current bi-weekly schedule could still be kept in the game. Giving him his own room in the Relays would give more permanence, much like Simaris, and as the community earns ducats between each appearance a new item that would be coming in the next sale could be revealed. A way to see what was previously sold in game could also be added to get an idea of what might be coming around again.

    Ducats

Since Baro is a merchant rather than an ideologue, rank would be based on your overall wealth in Ducats. Total Ducats earned on the account would represent your standing with him, and spending ducats for items would be how to obtain those parts that you covet. The terminal that allows you to cashing in unwanted items for ducats could be moved to his room and should stay for players with existing duplicate parts.

Instead of the Tiered RNG, successful completion of Void missions would reward Ducats. Higher tier and longer survival duration would reward more, something like (10*tier)*rotation. I imagine that appropriate costs of items would have to be balanced. A similar formula of 100 base could be used to give items cost per tier.

    Comments/Suggestions?

Essentially treating Prima like Cryotic for creation of those items.

  10. Never Sell an Event Weapon, just keep it if u dont like it.

Make sure you get no Regret in the End :)

What this guy said. I have learned to never sell ANYTHING!

I used to sell off any weapon I got to 30 to free up a weapon slot, and now they have been introducing new weapons that use old weapons as components. You never know when something like this might end up getting used.

Except maybe the MK-1 weapons. I'm still holding onto them out of fear, but since you can just get them with credits I might man up and sell those off...

  11. The Challenge Room

In this room a player that has been Marked for Death can challenge their assassin pursuer(s) to direct combat.

Historically a Samurai could challenge a worthy opponent to single combat. When they met they each recited the names and deeds of their ancestors up to themselves, then they would do battle. Ninja don't strictly follow the same honor rules, so having the clan assist (and the fact that our pursuers warrant help) still fits the premise well.

Obviously this would be a powerful tool, so here are some balance and narrative suggestions to make this a more interesting.

    - Must be constructed in the Dojo similar to a Duel Room

    - Each mark would require a different "Beacon"

    - The Beacon would be a single use consumable blueprint similar to the Fieldron/Detonite Injector/Mutagen Mass

    - The Challenge Room would morph to suit the Beacon used, this would prevent giving too much of a terrain advantage to the players

    - Perhaps a Quest String leading to Beacon coordinates, similar to the Mutalisk Alad V mission types unlocking

    Suggestions/Feedback?

  12. Donation logs seem... wrong somehow. Like if you could kick a player from a clan for not donating enough when they just have IRL things going on that don't allow them to farm resources for the clan.

As for a leader board, yeah that could be cool.

Alternatively, the donation log could be used to reward a player that is dedicating a lot of their hard earned resources to the clan. For example, the clan members could pitch in for an x-mas gift from the Market for that player.

  13. I was able to complete both tasks after my second solo run brought me from 37 to 104 kills. Since I normally solo as Rhino I had no idea how dangerous the scorpions were until half way through my second run I was two-shotted. I was very careful after that. and with some health restore items, was able to finish it without being downed again.

  14. After putting it off for several months I finally decided to reorganize my Ghost clan's dojo. Armed with only the community created resources on the forums, I planned poorly during my first build and ended up with an elevator to a reactor level at a dead end of my Clan Hall. Because I didn't want to stockpile and use up all of my Forma to built more reactors temporarily, I had to tear down EVERYTHING to reclaim the resources before rebuilding.

Having to tear everything down step by step is annoying.

Having to wait several hours per room to destroy is frustrating.

Having to wait 24 hours to find out the room is pointing the wrong direction and that it will take another 12 to fix the issue, is excruciating.

Placing decorations over your own shoulder with your character blocking your view is also a pain.

There really needs to be a new system, are there any plans for this?

One idea that might be helpful to reference is the Castle Building Interface in The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot.

We would greatly benefit from a separate view with a higher perspective for placing rooms and objects. The rooms could snap together at their doors. And required resources, including energy and capacity, could be tracked and displayed in the UI. Once the changes had been submitted by the Architect the new layout would then take effect.

    Feedback? Thanks.
