  1. Edit: I used to main Rhino. I learned all about damage 2.0 with him. Somewhere around Mesa's update Iron Skin got nerfed so bad that Rhino can't run T4 anymore. I hardly use him at all, now.

I mained Rhino since Closed Beta and he's still my main.

Having 70%-80% of time used on Rhino (+Prime), I understand the frame really well.

He can deal with high level content just fine.

Solo'd my Sorties (even the Corpus Defense mission of 20 waves full of Nullifiers and Eximus units).

As a huge Rhino fan, all the buffs are welcome for my part. Why would I be against it?

But saying that he can't do T4 is really pushing it. T4 is a joke for Rhino. è_é
  2. Frames, Sentinels and Kubrows give 200 Master Exp per rank. So maxing one of those means 6000 MR exp.

Weapons (and sentinel weapons) give 100 MR exp per rank, so 3000 for maxing one out.

Also, you gain MR exp only once per item.

If you max a gear, then sell it and get it again, you'll no longer get any MR exp for that gear.

Unless you sold the gear before it got maxed. So if you sold it at rank 25, you can still get MR exp from 25 to 30 with that gear.

Also, Draco (on Ceres) is a good place to rank up.

  3. You can't possibly compare a longsword and a greatsword. They're different types of melee weapons meant for different melee playstyles. You could compare Broken-War to Dakra Prime, or War to Scindo Prime/Galatine, but not like what you're doing.

The reason why he's comparing it, is because you need to sacrifice Broken-War to be able to craft War.

So it's a legit question to ask whether or not it is worth it.

Side note: And in case you want to get Broken-War again, you'll need to sacrifice War. In short, you can not possess both weapons at the same time, unless you pay 600p to buy the Stalker pack.

  4.

Okay, so he drops War BP, you make it and use it to make Broken War.

He drops Broken War BP, you make it and use it to make War.

You WILL need to get at least 4 weapon blueprints total to have both War and Broken War. (2 of each. Or is that 3?)

    Have I missed anything?

The grind will be insane, but you CAN get both weapons as far as I can see.

Or am I completely off base? (It's early for me.) Not arguing. Confused.

If you get War BP from Stalker, you will not be able to craft it until you get full Broken-War from the quest.

If you get Broken-War BP, you will not be able to craft it until you have crafted War.

First, you acquire 1 Broken-War from the quest. Result: 1 Broken-War, 0 War.

You get War BP from Stalker and craft War by sacrificing your current Broken-War. Result: 0 Broken War, 1 War.

Now you get Broken-War BP from stalker and craft it. Result: 1 Broken War, 0 War.

    etc...

So, you can not keep both weapons because you need to sacrifice one for the other.

All you can do is dispose of one to get the other. You can do this indefinitely, but the way things are now, you'll never have both weapons in your inventory at the same time if you do not pay platinum.

  5. Only a few stances have a combo worth executing.

The main issue I have with melee is lack of action priority (combo cancelling) and impact feel.

    Action Priority:

Certain actions need to have priority for a smoother combat experience.

Actions like blocking, rolling, jumping,... need to be able to cancel out the combo's.

You can clearly see a rocket flying at you, but unfortunately, all you can do is catch it with your face while in the middle of a combo you can't cancel with a block, bullet jump or a roll.

    Feel of impact:

At the moment, enemies perform a (rain?) dance when you melee them.

A more satisfying feedback would be knockback. That's what most melee based games do, some games even allow you do perform juggle combo's.

Still, melee 2.0 was a huge step forward! It just needs another push.

  6. That would be really cool, because then I could use some of the other designs for the mastery rank sigil. I miss some of them. :c

    Indeed.

Gold Eagle (MR18) was my favorite so far.

The next one that I like is MR30. The MR27 looks nice too, but not as good as MR18, in my opinion.

Thats great, that means you should also be able to rank up to 4 and start doing sorties. Getting to MR 4 is not hard, it isn't at all the problem with sorties by any means. So, go do it, and start doing sorties. I'm unsure as to how you are a founder and still sitting at MR 4 anyways haha

He has enough MR points to hit rank 16 (almost 17), so he's most likely holding back on purpose, I'd guess.

  8.

Are you talking about the modularunits or the eximus? My reply was about those modularunits not showing up in the defense. So they can't be the ones negating my venom.

By Modular units, do you mean Scrambus? The one that nullifies a specific power and skates around?

Yes, those units were in the Sortie. You can see them in the video I posted. (Link above should jump you to the right time in the video, showing one of those units)
