  1. Because it reduces the gains from non-Syndicate missions and encourages players to actually do things the way DE intended - to do the Syndicate missions to rank up in the Syndicates.

I would do those Syndicate missions if they are more fun... They are just normal missions with "Syndicate" slapped on it.. And some randomly placed medallions that sometimes stuck inside ice walls on Corpus outposts..

  2. Nice changes on Ember, but I find that World of Fire change was weird. I don't think turning it on and off makes a difference. Sure it only cost 50 energy + continuous drain until the skill's duration end, but I think if World of Fire is toggle like Banshee's 4 or Nyx's 4, that would be even better change, and I doubt that Ember will be OP.

  3. Apologies, it was not my intention to make it sound like they are encouraged. Also, the comment I was shown of a dev saying these are allowed did not state anything about fingers cut off, or any other condition that prevents you from clicking your mouse fast, as far as I can remember.

And also, this is actually the first time I hear, in or out of the game, about macros being looked down upon. I mean, I'd understand if it was about a script that plays the game for you, but this is far from that, at least in my view. What about those re-mapping the shoot key to the mouse wheel? I have definitely seen that one recommended before, more than a few times.

I don't know, maybe I'm a bit of a pragmatist, but if it helps me suck the most out of my gun, saves me some rapid-fire-clicking strain and reduces wear on my mouse, I see it as a good thing. Am I missing something?

Well it's a video game so do what you preferred. I, for one, will never use macros. It defeats the purpose of a weapon's mechanics (the Lato is more accurate because it is semi-auto. When you use macros, it will have both accuracy and high rate of power, pretty unfair to automatic weapons don't you think?)

  4. Hi all,

I am putting together a space mech game rough draft, and I am thinking of using archwing as a basic model and improve/balance upon it. Here are my thoughts:

I was thinking that it would be cool if the archwings abilities to be based on cool down rather than using energy. Then add a mod that decreases cool down on abilities. I believe energy should only be apply to warframes and not the archwings, but channeling still cost energy while in archwings.

I understand that you can't spam your abilities anymore, and you can't use energy restore, so this sounds like a direct nerf to the already weak archwings. That's why I am asking you guys to help me improve this system that I had in mind.

  5. I am stuck at Vor's prize: obtain the Mercury nav segment. The quest is there, but there is no location shown when I clicked on the quest. I think the reason is because I built the handcuff thingy before I proceed to the next mission, which is to obtain the materials to build it.

  6. F2P is just that, that it's free to play, there's F2P that keep adding content as time goes, others just focus on cosmetics, but what makes F2P F2P is exactly what it says on the tin.

i never talked for others though. and... do you know what beta means? it means unfinished, not done, getting out of beta means the devs have finally finished telling us their story, do you want to keep playing an incomplete game forever?

the only freeloaders are those who don't manage plat, not necessarily those who don't buy it. people who market for plat spend the plat, which in turns makes other people spend more plat, i recommend that video about the F2P Model made by the devs of team fortress

FAAAAR from it, just a successful enough one

Successful? I'm just seeing a poor guy who can't afford shinies, and saying he doesn't need it. I'm continuing to keep buying Prime access because I want to help out DE, and get those shinies.

Also, you don't even need to trade to get Loki P, I famred for him and bought the first Prime Access tier.

  7. Not true.

Nekros works very well if you have a Shadows build, and the shadows can cause some much needed confusion during defense and survival missions. Not to mention taking out heavies, and using them again is EXTREMELY helpful.

    Or Nyx

  8. Finally someone other than me that knows this

blind is temp and the damage comes back disarm is perm and damage never comes back, blind also doesnt help jack in a defence with vauban

O really? Have you been in 2 hours survival in T3 and get mobbed by melee mobs who 1 shot you? Radial Blind is permanent CC, Loki doesn't have that.

  9. What if my alliance is kind enough to take the repair and maintenance cost into our own hands without taxing other people? What if my alliance just wants others to enjoy the dark sector free on their part? Are we the bad guys to you?

TL;DR - "We will provide everything, absolutely free to all other players. We will be responsible for the repair and maintenance cost, as long as you support us" vs "We will tax you so we can maintain the rail, and also it's your responsibility to pay tribute to the people who provide you services"

Seriously though, if you can't afford to maintain the dark sector while keeping the tax at 0%, then let other alliances who are capable of doing so, there will be plenty of those alliances who would selflessly provide you free rails.

  10. <snip>

How is it random to get 4 formas from T3 MD back to back? How is it random when you get 1 part more than the other in 1 void map, where it has at least 5-6 parts as reward? You don't know what random implies in these threads. We want all parts to have equal chance to be a reward. Right now, it seems like 1 part have way higher chance to be reward than other parts.
