  1. For the build that's getting ready for cert, please can the team address the issues that come from using the Necramech when the controller has custom bindings.

A lot of people use LB to activate abilities and left/right dpad to choose the ability but because transference isn't part of the necramech abilities once you're in you can't get out.

2 solutions could be to either make transference accessible on the dpad or possibly tap LB to activate ability and hold to exit the necramech.

    Still happening.

Weirdness happened, smeeta was infected then cured by imprint, infected again and tried cure cos I'd used all my imprints. As with everyone else here, cure worked for about 3 seconds then red kitty again.

When I logged back in this morning the kitty was back to normal no redness at all.  Maybe it's just a visual thing that didn't take or something, regardless though log out seemed to work, no idea why but I'm not gonna, complain.

Now if they could just fix stealth bugs...

  3. I've been trying to log in for the past hour and can't get past "Connecting..." which stays at 0%.  Restarted. Hard reset, removed from power for 60 seconds, restarted router blah blah blah, nothing works.  Got boosters running down n Railjack to catch up seeing as I keep losing some but not all avionics rewards after missions.

This is a mess guys please let us know what's going on.

Also PLEASE can you fix stealth bugs that you told us you aware of a few devstreams back.  They've been around for months now and should have been fixed for Ivara Prime

Thank you all for your replies! 😊 I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who feels this way.

While I'm not quite certain that any of the stealth changes are intentional, I do think we should try to increase the visibility of this issue so they know how much stealth means to us. Anyone reading this, feel free to post your own thread with your stories and thoughts about why stealth is fun! I don't know if stealth-loving players like myself are in the majority, but we should make it crystal clear that stealth is wanted and needed, just in case DE is considering lessening it further.

    Totally agree!

I actually posted one in XB1 mission bugs last night, breaking down all of the things I had tried, to see if I could narrow down the actual thing causing the bug and inviting other players to add their testing or experiences as well.

  5. So it looks like the stealth kill bug has still not been sorted despite Ivara's prime access being launched.  I think it may have crept in along with excilus slots for primary and secondary weapons (could be coincidence though).

Basically, it is no longer possible to get stealth kills with any ranged weapon without sleeping the enemy first.

    I have tried:

    *Natural and mod silenced weapons

    *with and without multishot mods

*crept up to enemies until finisher message appears and then head shot killed at point blank range

    *with and without companions

*going to very low level nodes like earth and headshotting with unmodded natural silenced weapons (daikyu, Spira prime)

    Also noticed

*while in Ivara's prowl enemies do not appear as alerted but do turn to watch me as I walk past

*companions attack whenever they want while I'm in prowl which they only used to do once I'd attacked a target previously

@[DE]Rebecca and @[DE]Steve did mention a few devstreams ago they were aware of the problem but no solutions yet by the looks of things.

Please could you guys post any other testing you may have done here so we can put as much info forward as possible for the devs to try and pinpoint what the issue is and troubleshoot it.

I personally would be happy if the whole stealth mechanic worked as functionally as it did 6 months or so ago, but with the spaghetti code being as it is, it could take quite some time sifting through in order to return it to it's former glory.

I'm completely with you on this and totally get what you're saying. I think one of the reasons why it may be hard for DE to diagnose is because there are so many moving parts to how stealth works and as you say there have been a lot of changes lately.  Hopefully it's just buggy and they'll pinpoint soon although being on console means quite a wait for me.

Thanks for the response by the way, haven't much time to catch Dev stream and that sort of thing lately so I appreciate the info 👍

    Hi there

The problem is, we don't know whether this is a stealth stealth nerf, or code went wonky during an update because nothing was announced, surely if something as important as a major game mechanic was drastically changed it would be in the patch notes somewhere?

DE have been transparent about the majority of game changes they've made, regardless of their potential unpopularity, so despite this undesired change persisting for many months, I've still got my fingers crossed that they'll get around to fixing it one day. ☺️

    Cheers then

This! If this was a change I didn't see it in the notes, Ivara is my most used and I only noticed the change since 26 hit on console.  I actually thought it was a bug because I could stealth snipe to my hearts content prior to Old Blood but now no ranged works including bows and thrown weapons which are naturally silent.

If this was intentional does anybody know where they mentioned it or posted cos I'd like to take a look at the details from DEs lips?

Got a riven that requiees 92 finisher without failling a mission.

But i cant do a single finisher. Inaros sand pocket or even Excalibur radial blind isnt warking at all !

If you have Ivara her stealth finishers still work, all other stealth seems to be bugged though. Another alternative might be Equinox although I haven't tried it

All right, so it seems I was not missing some changes from the recent update... I used to run around with my Ivara to quickly level weapons that I put a Forma in, but now it doesn't work as it used to, no exp multiplier at all.

This! If it was just weapons with mods that silenced them I'd say it had something to do with the new Excilus slots, but naturally silent weapons like bows and thrown weapons don't work either so it looks likes its all ranged weapons.

Stealth affinity multipliers are only counting for direct melee finisher stealth attacks, every other attack is treated as though the enemy is aware

This! Can confirm silence mods don't break stealth but also don't award stealth kills. Tested on cernos prime, same issue, looks like it's both primary and secondary weapons, only melee works.

Lol, sorry man, it's the pants (armour, whatever they generally put on his legs) that get me.   I'd love him to be the Monkey God, but I can't take his Pantaloons seriously 🙂

I also think I probably haven't spent enough time with him to really get a feel for his playstyle though.

Nezha - First frame i got after i started playing but after discovering the rest of the pack i realized there is just nothing interesting or useful anymore that would make my mission faster in any way on him. And if i need a tank frame i have built myself a Gara because she is just overall more interesting for me and so are her skills.

Wukong - No matter how much i tell myself that i cannot simply die on him all the rest of his arsenal is basically dead. Riven mods + condition overload won for me in terms of melee so not even his long red crits stick will make me to pick him up again.

Since the Nezha rework I use him regularly, but I've fiddled and tweaked until I have a build I really like and he's one of the few frames that I use all of his kit all the time (well actually just 1, 2 and 3, couldn't;t be bothered with his 4)

With you on Wukong, also, I just think he's ugly.  There is no way (at the moment) to make him look good and I can't justify spending plat on a frame I never use so...

  13. 1 - Frost, used to use him for everything when I first started (becuase I didn't know any better) but now basically the only time I dust him off is when I get the "defense with the objective taking zero damage" Riven

2 - Excalibur, he was my very first an I know a lot of people still use him but I just never got into him.

3 -  Titania, no reason really, just lost interest with new frames being added and that sort of thing, that might change after her rework drops on console though.

There are also a whole bunch that I have (got them because I like to complete things and also MR is a thing) but never really managed to get into the playstyle or find a build that I liked so don't really fit into the OP's category of "used to use".

That isn't to say they're bad, just didn't peak my interest. Those would include Trin (shut up, I know she's good but I play solo a lot of the time and it sucks being a support frame with no friends 😞 ), Khora, Loki (I bought Ivara as a birthday present to myself early on and she's still one of my most used frames, I just prefer prowling), Atlas, and sad to say Harrow.  I like Harrow but I hardly ever use him just becuase I have so many other frames to choose from.  Like I said, they're not bad, I just don't have the time to play all of them.

Because its a missed oportunity. Opticor is somewhat of a unique weapon. I want to like it, but there is no reason for me to do so atm.

For other weapons which have similar alternatives that are not unuque fine, ill go pick another, but not the case of opticor.

    Fair enough

I admit that is a fun weapon to use in the right situation (basically when lives DON'T depend on it) but does require a specific kind of build.  It's definitely not an "endgame" weapon although it may have been way back when.  Unfortunately in a game like Warframe where there are so many weapons with new ones being added on a fairly regular basis, power creep becomes a thing and not every weapon can be top tier.

I still enjoy mine with the right Warframe, mod, companion setup but I very rarely build to rely heavily one specific weapon or set up because a) I get bored and b) I have lots to choose from so I like to mix and match to see what works and sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised when some things that I would never have thought to put together suddenly become complete facewreckers.

Then again, I'm not really that fussed about end game content or having that one weapon that destroys all and play for chill's sake but then again that's personal preference.  It's also probably the reason that I've only ever bothered taking down the Teralyst (the other reason being that I spend a significant amount of time playing solo) and I don't have maxed arcanes and that sort of thing.

The Opticor doesn’t really need a buff by any means, it’s fine as is since it’s already a strong weapon to begin with in the first place, it may not be the most damaging weapon in the game, but is certainly does not need a buff. Just because the Opticor isn't as powerful as the Lanka does not mean that it should receive a buff because it’s not up to par to it.

    My thoughts exactly.

My question has always been, with so many weapons available for so many different play styles, why fixate on the one weapon that doesn't work for the way you want to play it?

If the Opticor isn't doing what people want, then pick another weapon, there are 86 other primaries (by my count, don't quote me) in game.

I find that double jump mechanic far too much of a pain to use reliably. The investment to max it is crazy (kitgun arcanes in Fortuna are so much better), well done!

I tend to just go with Covert Leathality on a spy build. Glaive Prime (but I'm going to try Falcor) where volume of kills is more important.

Yeah the double jump takes a bit of practice but once you have it down it's actually quite simple (although I do sometimes blow myself up when I forget that I just double jumped to get somewhere).  I much prefer the way arcanes work in Fortuna, it's kind of an up front cost and of course having no build time involved is always a plus.

I saw that everyone is using maxed operator and Amp arcanes for the Orb fight and I never bothered with those in plains because of the cost you mentioned but it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet now.  On console, so I still have some time to work on it I guess although I'm having too much fun in Fortuna so it'll be hard to pull myself away from that.

Must admit KDrive on plains is great fun though.

I would have said silence was definitely more Banshee's thing, while invisibility was Ivara's. Ivara already has some of the best augments in the game, she doesn't need a silence one.

I don't think that shotgun or explosive weapons should be silence-able at all - the Redeemer is a blast shotgun that really doesn't need a stealth multiplier. It would feel a little broken to be running round blasting rooms of enemies away with it while a mob just outside that blast cone is unaware.

Add to that the fact this would essentially be an augment, with only two weapons needing it, and I don't think it's worth the coding time. I'd far rather have an augment/stance that gets rid of the flourish before a charged shot, or a silence mod that applies to sniper rifles.

When it comes to ranged melee Ivara is better suited to glaives anyway, as they work with Navigate (you can slice every enemy in the room in half with one throw).

I agree that Ivara's good as she is.  I assume the OP basically suggests the silence bit so that using those weapons doesn't pop the stealth bubble.

Ivara is one of my most used frames and I must admit, my favorite fun time is Ivara releasing full barrel silenced Arca Plasmor (think Silent Battery is the shotgun silenced mod, didn't even know one existed until I got one as a reward one day) into a group of otherwise ignorant bad guys.

Kills them all in one go so no alerts.  Of course any guys who aren't killed outright still change state to alert, but so much fun.  Silenced Catchmoon has that similar feeling of satisfaction especially of you can line it up right for that juicy punch through.

I always thought Sarpa and Redeemer were silent but checked the wiki and they are not anymore apparently which kinda makes sense, but I don't see the point of making a silence mod or augment for only two weapons when there are so many others to choose from.

My Ivara go to melee is normally a Status based (with condition overload and covert lethality) Balla Zaw with a maxed Exodia Contagion so I can either sneak up and hurl a stealthed projectile at groups of enemies.  Don't really see a reason to use any other melee with Ivara because it does ridiculous damage, plus it's hand for melee only sorties.

  18. I was levelling my Chroma Prime yesterday when it occurred to me that a very small adjustment to the HUD icons that when timed abilities are active could make life much simpler.

What if when an ability, let's say Vex Armour in this case, is activated the HUD icon appears as normal, the buff percentage reflects as it normally would.  However in addition to this as the timer runs down, the icon starts to grey out (think glass half full/half empty) until it is completely grey and it disappears.

This would give a quick visual indication of how much time you had left before you needed to recast and if you do (or can) recast, the icon would be full colour again.  It also means you can concentrate on dealing Tenno destruction without having to keep checking on how many seconds you have left at the bottom of the screen and what kind of damage (or any other stat) you're doing at the top

This would work for any abilities that have timers attached and means all of the important stats regarding your ability or abilities are in the same place which could make ability management less of a chore.

It might also work for toggled abilities as an indication of how much energy you have left but not sure how easy that would be to implement.

Done this 5 or 6 times.  Even unlinked Amazon from Twitch, logged out, logged back in, relinked everything.  Nothing, haha.  Guess I'm out then.

Geez man, sorry to hear that.

I did get an automated mail from Twitch once I'd re-linked my Warframe account, asking me to verify my account (Twitch account not Warframe), which I thought was a bit weird, but since then it all seems to be working.  Guess I'll find out when the next campaign drops whether my solution was permanent.
