  1. DE has set a high ceiling for expansion. mastery rank 30 is not something we're going to get any time soon. glad you didn't complain about the fact that you can't get all the mastery rank achievements yet, at least. but seeing the actual numbers is pretty astounding

520 different warframes? and I thought I would have enough plat for slots, silly me. also, that's a lot of creativity to create so many things. you're right, how will DE come up with more unique weapons and frames? I can't begin to imagine

  2. Er...you might want to use them because they look cool, sound cool or if you're a tryhard completionist, mastery fooder.

Seriously, Warframe weapons need a purpose now?

yes, they do. each weapon should be fairly unique, because then you don't run into the issue of playing with and formaing up a weapon, only to have a direct upgrade released shortly afterwards *cough*bronco prime->brakk*cough* so if weapons have unique stat distributions, you don't run into this, and each weapon serves a purpose

anyhow, based on their design, I was hoping they would be kinda like mini aksomas, since the clips look similar. but the akzanis don't have impressive stats at all

  3. shock eximus corrupted crewmen are immune to melee attack. curiously enough just like shock traps. not sure if other shock eximus are the same way, but I just ran an ext mission in the void and could not complete it. I completed another mission earlier by luring one into a laser trap, but at that point I thought I was doing a bit of damage. now I doubt I did any

  4. I don't think the fact that arc traps are no longer targetable by melee attacks has been addressed enough

so just in case anyone was wondering, arc traps can't be hit by melee weapons. kind of annoying while running with the sword alone in an interception mission where I have to run past the same traps all the time

  5. yeah, I miss that button! not sure if logging out straight from in-game will completely close the game or if it will take you to the opening menu (because I haven't been able to stay logged-in long enough). but if it takes you to the opening menu, then there's no real way to close the game without alt+F4 or alt+tabbing out. that just seems like poor design

    bring back our exit button!

  6. for now we just wait, biding our time. so who wants to speculate on what mega evolutions will be revealed next month?

possibly camerupt and sharpedo because of maxie and archie. I think Mega Flygon would be an awesome addition, but we do already have mega garchomp for the ground/dragon type. there are already a lot of hoenn pokemon with mega evolutions, I think only kanto pokemon had more in X&Y. so maybe some kalos pokemon will get mega stones this time around? that would be interesting

  7. Banshee

    Hydroid

    Ember

    nuff said

    ok, some explanations:

Banshee's soundquake is now toggleable, so you can leave it on for as long as you want. with maxed range, you can shut down entire rooms for an extended period of time. I haven't played around with her new silence yet, but sonar is an amazing damage buff, and sonic boom is one of the most fun 1 powers in the game. as it turns out, so are hydroid and ember's. hmm. anyway, it's force push. what's not to like?

Hydroid is all about area denial. I don't use the puddle, I go for power, but it's a useful skill. his 1 is great at keeping groups of enemies stunned, and his ult destroys everything in an area. tidal surge is good for movement, and sweeping away things in his wake. one of the most fun frames, and my current favorite. plus his idle animations with secondary weapons are the best

Ember is frail but powerful. I prefer an accelerant build over world on fire, because the stun is extremely useful, and the fire damage buff is on par with sonar. so bring an ignis. or use fireball. fireball so fun

  8. trying to level up the mutalist quanta was somewhat of an issue, because I usually aim down the sights for every shot, almost regardless of weapon. really didn't help that the quanta was an automatic rifle, and that right clicking ate up 15 of the ammo, haha

I did get a similar bug with it at one point, though. and it was great

  9. yeah, I've been mostly just breeding. and sniping shinies off the GTS. only the cool ones. that super multi trophy is the only thing left, really. but I kinda gave up on it without a proper human partner

but that reminded me, if anyone needs 5 IV things, I've got boxes of a variety of pokemon. my current project is mudkips, so I've got those. I've got speed boost jolly venipedes with toxic spikes and spikes. modest deinos with earth power. and I forget what else I was breeding beforehand. but if anyone's looking for good stuff, it's possible I've got it

  10. ignis is more ammo efficient than boar prime, at least, but I enjoy the ignis. only when I play accelerant-based ember, though. otherwise I use a gun

I think ignis is a very strong weapon regardless. but the fire damage potential is crazy especially with accelerant

  11. bronco prime and akbronco prime are very different weapons. one is all impact damage, and the other is more about status chance. I prefer akbronco prime, but I'd say craft 2 extra bronco primes and use those fresh ones to make your akbronco prime. unlike other dual secondaries, in which the dual is a straight upgrade of the single, these two are very different beasts. both excel in different ways

  12. started with mag as well, and the informant event was pretty cool. grineer regulators still somewhat creep me out, but their sounds are a lot quieter than the informers were. but that was the first big event I was a part of

in terms of personal events, I remember as a new player seeing some rank 5 guy destroying infested on a corpus ship defense map with an orthos, and I just had to have it. first weapon I ever crafted, pretty sure

  13. it varies from time to time. banshee was the first frame I crafted, and so she was my favorite for a while. then when I got saryn I fell in love instantly. then after that trinity was my mainstay for a while, until mag prime came out. there was a mag prime phase. then back to trinity

but now, my favorite is hydroid. idle animations are just awesome, I love the area denial abilities. and the dude is a goddamn pirate. what's not to like?

  14. I cannot wait for dat focus system. have they mentioned anything about it in recent devstreams? because it did sound like it was planned for U14, but that was when DE was working on releasing U12. so focus was always more Down the Block than Around the Corner

player ships and updated star system seems pretty cool, definitely more immersive than point and click on the star chart

and as for all the new infested enemies they've teased recently, awesome. so glad J3 is back, and is now part corpus ship, haha

  15. I know they've been around for a while, and I've been admiring them ever since then. so I figured it was time to let everyone know if they don't already that cap'n hydroid's idle animations when holding secondaries are the best ever

    slightly unnecessary story:

ok, I love the marelok, so usually that's all I run around with. that an my orthos prime or something. it was tough deciding  which idle animation was better for that one, but ultimately I've gone with the noble stance. the gunslinging one is sick too (agile), so you should check that out as well

but after leveling up the pyrana, I decided to dust off some other shotgun-style secondaries, the akbronco prime. and the dual secondary idle animations are amazing too! I had no idea, I'd been missing out on these for so long. sticking with the captain for this one as well

are the other frames' agile/noble stances cool too? I haven't played too many other frames recently, but I figured they still might be the old generic ones, and hydroid was special because he's the most recent. I know ember/prime has her sexy stretch with her noble animation

so if you haven't checked out hydroid's idle animations, unequip your primary, equip your favorite single and dual secondaries, and enjoy!

that is all. and obviously great work on those, DE. they're so enjoyable just to watch
