  1. Here's how I see it. Nightwave is fine if it's a tagalong.

If lots of stuff would be happening in the game and you would passively fill up that bar while playing - it would be a fine enhancement. Nightwave is really boring and can feel like a chore, once it's the only thing you focus on.

To me it feels like a double edged sword. I think it enhances the game, when it's rich in content and other tasks - but can be detrimental and lead to more burn out, when the game is stale and in a drought.

To go even further: it's like a sidedish. It's great as a side, but you wouldn't want your diet to only consist of sidedishes for months.

  2. I'm not really upset, but I do worry, that bringing melee down, will only cement nukeframes as the most efficient way of clearing highlevel content. While now I can pretty much play any frame or setup I want and always fall back to the equipped melee to clear enemies, when I'm in trouble one way or the other, that probably won't be an option anymore,

This could lead to a point, where I have to decide between playing what I feel like playing or cutting the mission duration by like 50%.

Even though melee was the strongest weaponclass it introduced at least some choice in playstyle, with Spin2Win, Condition Overload, Bloodrush and Covert Lethality builds all handling fairly differently.

  3. Radiation Damage is great, even though it's status proc isn't.

It ignores 75% of alloyarmor and is also increased by 75% making it highly effective for highdamage weapons which don't strip armor. (For example Tombfinger - which can still oneshot lvl 100 grineer thanks to great stats but also thanks to it's radiationdamage-portion)

  4. When Fortuna gets their caves, there's a chance for them to appear in eidolon aswell. From what I remember it was a technical limitation to not having them at launch - the assets and tiles we see now underground were actually designed to be procedural stitched together. However at this point it would need a new design-effort to make them have a point in eidolon and thus chances are slim.

They'd basically overlap with bounties (which was what they were originally designed for) and there would be a need to come up with a new reward/progression-structure and some way to make them meaningfully different to regular starcharts-maps. Best case scenario they would strip the ghoul event and have all it's content be tied to the caves as permament content instead of spamming players inboxes every couple of weeks.

    Sadly I don't see it coming. 😞

  5. Also the operator speaking to you makes it feel like _you_ are the Warframe instead of the tenno. Would've made more sense if the warframes would communicate to the player. Because like this it leads to an actual disconnect. I guess it was designed to have your operator at least sometimes be visible to you - back when we were not even able to exit the warframes for more than a couple of seconds.

  6. Honestly the quick holstering is the biggest friggin deal for me personally. I am so looking forward to actually be able to use the full kit of a loadout in tandem instead of having it be seperate due to an ardously long switchtime. It feels like most people are anticipating how the numbers will change ("How will the change to combo change the numbers on my Bloodrushbuild?!" etc). However the change to holstering opens up the all the options different stances bring to the table.

Before, if I wasn't bringing a specific Melee-Loadout I basically ever just used quickmelee - basically locking me to one animation/ one move + slideattack and groundslam. It's a way bigger and more positive change than it gets credit for currently. (Hopefully it extends to primary/secondary one day - so you won't have less downtime just reloading your weapon instead of switching to a secondary)

  7. Have you ever considered that Warframe might just not be the game for you?

The game being easy and a timekiller is ingrained in it's design. Personally I have more fun running long survivals without a cheese setup as well. But I've come to accept that the game isn't designed for this style of gameplay or at least not focused on it.

If you're bothered by frame/gameplay choices of other players, you're always free to just abort the mission.

  8. What do you guys think of some raw support in Nyx's kit?

I thought about sth like "Break Control"
-Releases control of mind-controlled targets. Targets send out pulses which stagger enemies and restore energy and shields to Nyx and Teammates. Restoration scales with the time the target spent under Nyx's control.

Duration of pulsing could scale with Power-Duration and Restoration could scale further with Power-Strength.

Energy restoration being a powerful supportive ability could make Nyx into a valuable teamplayer and it would give another purpose to keeping mindcontrolled enemies as supportive batteries. This would also help Nyx to get rid of mc'ed enemies if she needs to. Having the restorative properties scale with the time the target was under mindcontrol, would prevent ability spam similar to low duration energy-vampire and would thus differentiate the gameplay between Nyx, Trinity and obviously Harrow.

Sorry, if there's already a mega-thread for Nyx suggestions - I'm relatively new to the forums and just haven't seen one.

  9. Hey, since I started playing last month I'm basically 24/7ing Warframe and thought maybe I can do something cool for the game.

Even though I'm no highclass sculpter by any stretch of the imagination, I hope some of you like the design.
Let me know, if you've got any input. :3
