DE have mentioned that the "player spawns in, teammates rush off and complete the mission before the newer player or non-meta frame gets to contribute" is bad for the game.

I tend to agree. In not aware of a one size fits all solution though.

That has nothing at all to do with Warframe choice, you can make someone experienced use what ever you consider to be the worst Warframe and you'll get the same result.

It's also funny to hate on Wukong while pretending to care about new players, when Cloud Walker is the best equalizer to the alleged problem. The inequality comes from how Warframe's mobility works.

  2. When SP was released it was already more efficient than non-SP if you had similar TTK, your complaint should have been present day 1. However, I find it absurd to try and argue SP should have absolutely zero benefit over the standard star-chart.

The 'optional' line simply came down to there being no progression actually requiring SP, but again, why didn't you complain about the SP specific Arcanes? If all SP offers is the same exact rewards but quicker, then it's still entirely optional. If you're going to argue otherwise, then why don't you make a big issue over DE's monetization instead.

The quicker rewards is simply an easy way to reward people who progressed through the game or lucky enough to be carried in public. As otherwise, you could ignore SP and not miss out on anything beyond a small number of Arcanes and cosmetics that only a minority care about.

  3. Seems like it's just a case of hoping someone else does it for them. Disruption has been out for ages now, and I still get people who'll never bother with the actual objective, I have had runs where I was the only one who picked up, inserted and killed. If someone else helps, it's generally just one person, fairly uncommon to see all 3 actually doing what the mission is expecting. Same thing with pub Eidolons, etc. The issue is when ever there's something beyond killing what's on your screen repeatedly really.

  4. As someone who doesn't like Defense, Defense SP Circuit is still easily doable regardless of Warframe, did it with max level enemies including Excav where they actually die instantly if you let them get hit.

Even though it's easy, I still don't like it because the mission type is fairly dull. Thankfully they at least lowered the number of rounds, and I wish they would do the same for Archon Hunts, etc.

I don't really want to use the "meta cheese" setup, I wanted to use Qorvex and Vasto prime, so I did...sure it's not the best set up, I didn't have eclipse or roar or anything, but it was very fun.

I'm confused how abusing Operator immunity isn't the definition of cheesing it...? That's more of it than just using above average performing weapons and isn't removed/deleted in the same way Warframe equivalent abilities are.

  6. Single digit millions in a game where a billion in a single hit is possible, not quite sure I would call it game breaking. Typically things get nerfed, even if they're actually objectively bad, when they're used a lot or just enable inactive gameplay. Balancing damage is pretty much not a thing. You can see the same problem with survivability, immortality on one hand vs instantly dead on the other.

  7. This would only happen if DE actually moderated the player base for more than saying 'bad' things. Many other games back then didn't require picking up loot like this, and a lot of pve games still don't, because leeching isn't as common due to fear of punishment. Hardly anyone who leeches on Warframe is afraid of being banned, because it rarely happens and there's no social aspect.

It costs money to moderate a player base, so hardly anyone does much of that. Add in the fact not many people report the behavior, and well you end up with nothing being done in general.

Are you aware that most of the veteran players own well over a hundred melee weapons? Melee is the most crowded weapon class in the game. Putting an adapter on every owned melee weapon means a whole year of grinding the new syndicate every single day for old time players.

INB4 "But you don't need to put one on every weapon"...

There's more ranged weapons than there are melee weapons... and it's even worse when you consider melee has more variants of the same exact weapon type than ranged. Unless a weapon has some sort of gimmick or passive attached to it all "swords" are functionally the same with just a variance in stats as their attacks are tied to a mod rather than the weapon itself; unlike ranged weapons where their function is tied to the weapon itself.

The amount of people who are going to bother with unlocking the arcane slot for every single melee weapon including MR fodder and lower stat duplicates is extremely low. Even if someone did that, it's relatively easy compared to getting both arcanes maxed.

I think DE in general misses the point of weekly/daily limitations. Rewards should actually feel good to earn and doesn't need insane amounts of RNG. With how DE is doing weeklies, the progress between two people ends up worse than grinds with no time-gate. Items being tradeable isn't an excuse for it either, especially given how garbage the trading system is in addition to other flaws pertaining to account security that is likely never being addressed.

Sounds easy when you live in a rich country but there are many people who already turned their wallets inside out to buy what they have now.

It isn't DE's fault some nations are either poor or have taxed foreign goods to the point most things cost an insane amount. Being from a 'wealthy' country doesn't mean much of anything either, developed countries still have a lot of poor people. All that matters is that you aren't in a country that taxes foreign goods and has a supply of components or offer specific services that keep the cost of getting a PC lower. When upgrading, you don't have to spend a lot getting the newest thing. You go for what's in your budget, even if that means going for something from 5+ years ago and used/refurb.

  10. Archon hunts are towards the end of the current progression path. By the time you're there, you should have loadouts capable of killing enemies in those missions. Your inability to, isn't DE's fault. They even took care of one of the problems with it, and made Archons in general take little time to kill. Otherwise, all that's left in my opinion is deleting, or shortening, Defense.

  11. For me part of the issue is what you don't own popping up, and for weapons the number of options is too low.

The other fairly important issue isn't specific to circuit but the game in general, and that's how armor functions. Armor as a whole has been a problem, a way to remove it ends up being required unless you're getting carried or are using a weapon able to output enough damage to not care.

  12. Not quite sure what difference there is between kill xxx enemies vs go do this one specific mission type where you kill enemies x times on the 'fun to boring scale'. Time completion isn't really any different, the challenges in general do not take long to complete, some are just annoying or provide zero reward other than the Nightwave completion. Previously some challenges appeared basically every week, unless to you doing the same task on a different 'open map' is somehow different. I personally like the change, as I would just skip most of them.

Nightwave wasn't meant to be the main reason to play, like a proper 'battle pass', it's meant to be a way to be rewarded for playing the game while providing small bits of story, which of course that part was scrapped.

I didn't use Pack Leader since before Panzer existed, so I can at least give my perspective on it.

When you do endless missions to the point enemies becomes powerful enough to 1shot your pet, it's pretty much useless since no amount of healing is going to stop one single hit from knocking them out. Leading up to that, you'd be stuck having to melee all of the time to prevent them from getting melted by enemy attacks even if melee isn't your strongest weapon or you just don't like mashing the attack button. Another problem with it is if you do happen to like melee, it's going to be a terrible mod if you roll slow and heavy weapons. You like the Gram Prime? Guess the mod's not gonna get much mileage out your choice of weapon. Like 2h nikanas, you absolute masochist? Same issue.

You'd be better off just reviving your pet since then they'd be invulnerable for a few seconds before getting insta-downed again. That way you can install something useful like more radar or Sharpened Claws for some passive armor strip.

On the plus side, with the new overhaul to pets coming soon, you could replace the new, more awful Pack Leader with one of the mods to rez them faster.

Majority of people do not sit in an endless mission long enough for Pack Leader to be useless. The usefulness for most people would come down to the defensive stats of the Warframe they are choosing, and whether a Wisp is present or not.

Regardless, even if DE were to balance Warframe better, it would make zero sense to do so from the perspective of extended endless runs.

Really would have been nice if the basic utility aspects of companions had been removed from them and handled differently, that way it would not ever matter if they were dead or not. What ever combat benefits they provide is inconsequential and most people just don't enjoy losing the basics.

    Forced how.

Game is largely about fighting high number of enemies some of which have cc. Being cced once with how quick the game is breaks the flow of the game, having it happen repeatedly is just an annoyance even when there is no dying involved. Some of the cc couldn't even be rolled through or blocked by melee; which only reinforces the idea you need insane aoe burst in order to just delete enemies upon spawning to not have to deal with it. It's also not as if all cc in the game is properly telegraphed or noticeable, especially some that are attached to insane amounts of burst damage that unfortunately PSF doesn't even prevent.

Something often overlooked is lack of mods that can be equipped into the Exilus slot that feels noticeably impactful. The options are minor stat increases, or stats the general player base doesn't even care about. This means that you're not really missing out on anything for 'general' play by just equipping PSF other than using an additional Forma to overcome the high equip cost. I just use PSF most of the time unless I am using a highly specialized build for a specific type of thing since outside of that nothing really matters in the grand scheme of things.

  15. On the note of other games providing more for this, consider even some mobile games have better options for finding groups.

Although, it sadly isn't that uncommon for western developers to skip out on proper options for grouping [or trading] with others... the other game DE is helping with had [or has] the same problem... then for a game released in 2023 you have Diablo 4 that forces you into using Discord/3rd party options. Some Western publishers seem to operate under the assumption people play with people they know in person or family, see interviews with Amazon more or less assuming this and New World also lacked proper group finding features initially.

A real lfg system would at least give me something to do, as at times I'm fine with doing what ever with who ever even if I'm not getting anything myself. I'm not going to use chat to do this though; I'll just log off when I've done what I had to.

AOE is perfectly fine and so is Wukong who was buffed for those who don't AFK and/or AOE spam. And mind you AOE itself wasn't the reason for the changes, it was how players exploited it and Wukong to automate the game down to doing literally nothing or holding forward while occasionally firing at your feet.

Aoe weapons enabled the behavior and so did DE's lack of willingness to make some missions not encourage sitting in the same spot, something like Karak doesn't allow you to sit in a corner shooting enemies that aren't able to hit you; it is no different to how DE targeted Khora previously because she could 'afk' in the same manner with whip being a 'free' aoe burst.

    nonviable frames.

Viability is an extremely low bar. Unless a Warframe is unable to use weapons/transference they'll generally always be 'viable' in some capacity. Whether they're enjoyable to use or offer something meaningful to gameplay is what should matter.

The issue with Wukong is he's just another Inaros that gets shield-gate and Cloudwalker, that's really it. Outside of 'afking' with an aoe weapon the Celestial Twin was actually always garbage, which of course encouraged the use of longer range aoe weapons just so it had a chance of actually landing a hit on anything when ever it was allowed to attack. Defy is redundant on him making it a wasted ability slot for general use and we all know how unpopular the staff is. The usage of Celestial Twin's damage is directly tied to how subpar the group happens to be. When people are actually killing things, the Celestial Twin is contributing absolutely nothing. You can use a melee weapon only and Celestial Twin will still do absolutely nothing because most of the time it's just moving/teleporting.

  17. Oberon really just needs better scaling for what he offers and better base effects. He could easily have armor scaling for his effects and be given better base armor and health values at the 'cost' of lower shield values.

Hallowed Ground should have significantly better range and effectively be multiple circles, where the damage and %proc is lower the further out enemies are so he can at least provide the positive effects to allies better.

Renewal should have the augment as its standard effect and the augment could instead provide the group a buff if the cooldown hasn't been triggered. Introduce an energy/s cap.

Passive should apply to all 'companions' and give the free revive a cooldown.

Reckoning should require lower strength for the armor strip and have better cast times. Although, I would prefer it be replaced with a different ability that interacts with the rest of his abilities.

  18. Recycling content is fairly normal, and unsure how it went after Tencent took over, but before then, DE wasn't exactly making much money as a whole compared to their expenses.

There's a pretty good reason why reworks are fairly rare and DE tends to continue rushing forward eventually leaving content to irrelevance with methods to bypass it in the future even if temporary. Not much different to how we don't ever get any real weapon balancing. It's too much of an expense for DE which they've admitted previously.

DE has also been a fairly artistic studio for a while. The aesthetic of a map or item has a higher priority over practicality. It's why we have weapons that look good and sound good, but then feel terrible to use.. or when DE updates maps and they say look at how great it looks... and then it feels horrible to deal with the way enemies move around in it compared to the original version.

Although, I disagree that they actually focus on selling cosmetics. If they did, they wouldn't design the game with so many inconveniences in order to make people feel forced into buying Platinum. DE does not release enough cosmetics to rely solely on them in the way some other games do, in fact, the number of games that focus on cosmetics primarily while being pve focused is fairly low. It's either pay a lot to get rid of problems deliberately created by the developer, paying for new content in some fashion or gambling your money away. Keep in mind some of the cosmetics sold aren't even done by DE either, as Tennogen has a decent amount of options; without it, there would be extremely limited options in some cases.

Good luck on finding any game that releases content in a timely manner and with limited bugs. Pvp games hardly ever get any real content and just go on the endless train of changing metas to trick people into thinking the game is new every time, and multiple genres of pve games rely on the lame 'seasons' model with fairly minor additions while you do mostly the same thing every x months. What really should be done is spreading your playtime across different games you enjoy, not dedicating your time exclusively to one. There are 3-4 pve games I have been playing long term with random single player/short term multiplayer games mixed in and one pvp specific game.
