Awwww. Sad as it is to see you being done with Warframe (at least until significant changes pique your curiosity, I'm sure), I'm really glad you've got other games to play!

A lot of other games do some things differently and arguably better. DC Universe online for example has an awesome user interface and inventory options. And All Points Bulletin would let a person customize their facial features. Playing other games offers a wealth of input for how things could be done differently; it's one of the reasons why traveling the real world is a valuable experience for people.

The devs supposedly have bigger hopes for railjack. They were struck with a hard bit of luck going on vacation right before the virus outbreak, but they've put forward some good changes in my opinion, to make it a more inviting experience to newer players. There is much that can be done.

Hard Mode is supposedly still in the works. The devs even pointed out how it was mentioned as a proposal they were considering like 3 years ago. Giving players the challenge they want is a... well it's a challenge in itself.

Old bugs die hard. Yup. DE has a well known struggle smoothing over old content. Like the cartoon Dexter's Laboratory, when he got lost in his old lab one day and it was explained that he always abandoned old inventions whenever he made something new. Still, at least they're aware of it to some extent and seem to be trying in some places. They certainly care about the new player experience right now it seems.

Pub matches. People are people, right? Haha! Can't blame DE for stuff the community does to themselves. Private matches and solo exist for a reason.

But yeah. Good luck on your travels. Hope you find greener pastures out there.

Any parting advice for things that might bring you back in the future?

My overall issue is that Digital Extremes make enough money that they cant hide behind the excuse of a indie game company or this is just alpha/beta. They admitted themselves they won't do a full release as then there would be expectations to actually fix and update the game. Practically abusing the system. Just for the sake of not having a possible argument with anyone, what I call abuse you might call clever thinking.

    Railjack
This is just another grind bonanza. I have a pimped out railjack with most of my skills nearly maxed. But instead of a running (bullet jumping) you are flying in space and looting. Oh and guns that go BRRRRRRRR or oooooooBOOM or pew pew. I see that railjack has the potential. It should have been released with everything instead of "Well here is chapter 1 of X but we are still working on it" Which is like every other part of the game. (note my feelings on the overall issue)

    Hard Mode
I actually forgot about that its been so long. My fear is that it'll release half finished, riddled with bugs and take an additional 6 months to work out the kinks before.

    Old bugs die hard.
This I call b/s. The Ropalolyst fight was out for 6 months before I even touched it, multiple threads reporting bugs, I even added a thread to that pile. And as far as I'm aware those steaming pile of S#&$ of a "boss fight" is still the exact same when I played it and that was what 6 months ago? So a full year, still screwed. There is no excuse for this. Vacation & Covid-19 is no excuse for game breaking bugs to exist for over a year.

    Public Matches
My point about public matches and public premade matches are that people are idiots. DE isn't the problem on this one my point was more focused on when you don't want (or cant) do something solo (like railjack) you have to deal with Tom, $&*^ and Harry. Tom is out on his Archwing playing ping pong in the asteroids. $&*^ is on the side gun getting beating up by the boarding crew and Harry, not seen him for weeks, last I checked he got himself stuck to the hull because he wanted to lick the ice buildup.
I will say i have had some good matches with some good people in premades and made some friends but as my last posts says RSI, it gets real bad when you are in a group and you are trying to keep up with the rest of the team. Idiots are good for me sometimes, it means I dont have to rush, but idiots are still frustrating.

    Parting Advice.
In R6 siege they had "Operation Health" where they said "hey, we need time to not focus on content but to fix the current content" they spent 3 months focusing on nothing but the health of the game. Because there was no content for that quarter that meant is was a 6 month between content releases. That can kill a game especially a game that was only out little over a year.

Warframe: Operation Health - I want to hear that DE are going to stop with half finished content drops, focus on the health of the game, actually fix bugs. When they come back to releasing content it's not riddled with bugs at the start. Actually god damn play test it.

PLAY TEST THE NEW STUFF!! - Here is an idea: Guides of the Lotus (placeholder name) make it a play testing group. Say 50-200 players that actively participate in playing the content EARLY to weed out little bugs before it hits general population. Give them some sweet cosmetics. Easy to check who doesn't log in so you can kick and replace them. EASY LIFE. (Honestly 100% would legit come back if I was a play tester just saying)

Stop using the alpha / beta title as a crutch, we all get it, they don't want the commitment of saying "it's finished" or whatever but don't rest on it as a god damn excuse.

I honestly like(d) this game, but I don't see DE taking the development of the game seriously so in turn I cant take them seriously.

  2. Just got told the good news!

    Quote

Added login milestone reward blueprints (Zenistar, Azima, Zenith, and Sigma & Octantis) to Simaris' Offerings.
Blueprints for each only appear in his Offerings if they have already been previously selected as login rewards.

I fought for this 2 years ago (this method was an idea I threw around a lot) but stopped after DE Steve mocked players that sold their login weapons for credits (typically the Azima) watched a case unfold that a player who had waited over 300 login days to petition support to get his Azima back (and succeeded where all others failed). I quit playing Warframe on the day DE Steve laughed on stream at us. I swore I would comeback if they brought these weapons back somehow. That was 18 months ago.came back for a couple days during Railjack but I'll address that in a moment.

What do I have to come back to?

    • Trials are gone. Eidolons are elitist. Public groups and trying to form a group is toxic as #*!%.
    • Railjack, oh railjack. Gave it a chance I really did. Wanted to like it but I've seen more common sense in dogs scratching their ass on the grass than I have with publicly made "premades"
    • I heard about railjack and normal missions being able to cooperate like 2 separate groups of 4 achieving a single goal. Watched and was drastically disappointed at the level over-hyped interactions that were going on. The interaction was something similar to EVE Online on PC and Dust 514 on Playstation 3. A player could shoot the weapon for the console players but if there wasn't a player a NPC would take their place. Dust 514 to its credit did play a part in faction warfare in lowsec on EVE so Dust 514 had more interaction than Warframe does with railjack.
    • Fashion Frame. Now that Phantasy Star Online 2 is out that has thousands of more customisation options than Warframe. Sorry but PSO2 > Warframe.
    • There is no difficulty, the difficulty comes from being in public groups and depending on if the average IQ broke double digits or not would dictate how much you was going to drag your face across gravel.
    • RSI, wrist injury as a kid, I can sit and play PSO2 / LoL / R6 Siege for a 3/4 hours without it being too much of a strain. Warframe? Hour tops on a good day to keep up with the friends I do occasionally play with.
    • Lastly the bugs I faced coming back and doing the new content, oh are you #*!%ing kidding me. Bugs that were apparently in the game 6 months prior to me returning for railjack and that are STILL in the game TO THIS DAY.

All in all, thank you DE for FINALLY putting these blueprints in the game, but I won't be coming back. Had 18 months to sell it to me. This chapter is now closed for me, I can have peace of mind that finally you guys did the right thing. So congratulations to those getting their Azima back I know there are people out there that have waited well over 3 years for this. Thanks for all the fun times.

People who join Endless Fissures like Defense or Survival, but leave after only one Rotation. How can we solve this problem?

This is what it means to be "Public" It's not a problem to be solved.

Recruiting chat ignores 90% of people who are trying to form a squad, and you can't force me to make "friends" in a video game.

You also can't force others to stay more than 1 rotation. So you want the benefits of sticking with a full group without:
    1) Putting any effort into forming the group
    2) Putting any effort into finding a group being formed
    3) Putting any effort into making friends

You've cut off every avenue of being able to get a stable group to last more than 1 round. Some people only want to crack 1 or 2 relics and then leave. Some people only need a little bit more void traces to upgrade a relic or craft an item.

So the only thing that DE can do to solve this so called problem is to create a new matching list that force a set amount of rotations. So lets say they do this and force 4 rounds. Whats to say either yourself or another person isn't happy with just 4 and wants to go longer should DE introduce more modes to enforce 8 rounds? 12 rounds? 16 rounds? All this will achieve is segregating players when there are already 3 ways to achieve this (check list above) So i'll say this as nicely as I can: Putting some effort into this will reap the rewards you seek.

    https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Mesa

Says here stretch does affect it, though it could be wrong.

End of the day it's their choice how to build a character. If it works for them then they can ignore both of us.

That's also assuming he has Adaptation. The thing I do agree with is that Mesa doesn't get much out of better armor.

It appears that it does, however if the wiki is correct the difference is negligible:

The radius of the focus ring is affected by Ability Range, though the latter's effect is negligible.
The formula used to calculate the field of view angle with mods is non-linear and currently unknown.

With a note saying: Formula behaves similar to FoV = 15 *(ability range) ^0.5 with inconsistent deviations

Advice on the forums is free, maybe he'll take it on board maybe he won't. Sometimes it takes someone to say "hey you could get improvements if you change a couple mods" for a player to notice there are improvements to make. A saying I like: Give a man a fish he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish he'll steal your fishing rod he'll eat for life.

There's even less point having armor on her, shields at least recharge. Stretch also increases the range on Peacemaker, and it seems J is going for a build to use that and shatter shield a lot.

So you'd rather drop the armor for shield and completely ignore Adaptation, which is arguably one of the best tank mod he could go for. Rolling Guard might be a good option too to use in combination of Mesa's Waltz.

I regret to inform you that range mods don't affect Peacemaker at all. Base range of shatter shield is 11m with stretch that add 4.95m which isn't really much, that slot could be used for something more productive such as Hunter Adrenaline to generate energy to sustain.

You do what you want, that's how this game is. I'd say swap armor for shields though, having rejuvenation and quick thinking is not a bad idea on Mesa since she is squishy, but her armor is not worth much even when modded up.

Armor for shields? On Mesa? Are you serious?

    I mean...

... it works for me. I'm able to do most of my missions fairly well with that setup. What's wrong with it?

    And her pistols are fine.

Her base armor is garbage so adding Steel Fiber for survivability is pointless. Quick Thinking is decent but it'll nuke your limited energy pool and you don't really have a way to regain it except energy dash or pads. Stretch? Pretty pointless as well.

If you want more effective tank you can modify the build like so:
    Adaptation for survivability.
Umbral Vitality (remove your intensify for umbral to get more health (1147))
Hunter Adrenaline to generate energy (when you aren't using 4, combined with adaptation you won't lose all your health and energy insanely fast)

Over all this will increase your tank, energy generation and damage output.

    Okay, first of all:

    Booooo!

I'm currently in the process of farming up a lot of Focus (currently working on Zenurik and Naramon to get them out of the way). I do need to complete my farming for the remaining weapons for the current Prime Vault. I'm waiting for DE to get the motion controls into Empyrean (as is the general sentiment of the general Switch community) as well as the Command intrinsic.

One thing I really want to get as a mid-term goal are those Arcanes. Especially these two for my Mesa Prime:

    • Arcane Velocity
    • Arcane Guardian

    Here's my current mod setup:

    EPUmKcjUwAEFs-t?format=jpg&name=large

If those two work out as well as I think it will, then I think I could possibly get rid off/replace a few mods in there (like Steel Fiber and Quick Thinking), but I have to do a bunch of testing first.

I also want to figure out a good mod setup for both Vauban Prime and Ivara Prime.

Speaking of fashionframe (I'll update the images to a captura stance later as I'm not at home and I have little time to use my Switch right at this moment😞

You need to award "ENDO" or "AYATAN TREASURE"s more often in arbitrations and put those "ARCANE"s in the shop, I literally do care about anything else but "ENDO" because it gets me through the game. If you do not do that, then make arbitrations what they used to be, double the work but bigger rewards and you were garunteed to get "ENDO" unless one in a hundred chance of getting a mod. All of you here can literally fight me in the dojo, I don't care about anything but "ENDO" and "VITUS ESSENCE" from arbitrations. If you have a problem with it, speak up.

Edit 2: Make arbitration drones drop more Vitus Essence, doubling the drop rate would be half way to "fair".

Glad to see you are starting to learn.

Have you tried running with a resource booster and/or Smeeta? both affects the Vitus Essence drops

Haven't you wanted to get something that was gonna come out in a year or two before? Everything takes time, like monks they gotta wait till they reach their state of peace which may take decades. Gotta be patient and put a tiny bit of effort to login and get the reward then do whatever.

going from a 2-4 years to a year or 2. And some people have been waiting almost 3 years to get it back already. By the looks it you won't get it back even if we did wait in the games current state.

  11. 43 minutes ago, (XB1)prematurebat236 said:

365 days, 300 days of login rewards while 65 of free god knows what or just keep going 🙂. Takes time, and probably a riot towards DE and petitions from fellow tenno to get the weapons that are really rare.

So players should wait 2-4 years to maybe get something back? Explain to me how that is perfectly acceptable.

  12. 2 minutes ago, Drachnyn said:

If you want to punish a behavior you need to put up a threat. A person wont get punished for doing it just once, so dont worry about that. If they just stand around spawn then 1 or 2 F6 screenshots should be enough throughout the mission.

0% damage is not a very reliable way of telling if someone is afk either. A lot of missions dont actually require a single bullet to be fired. Spy, Rescue, mobile defense, hijack, defection, interception, capture (if someone is faster than you), sabotage, ...

I'm actually glad new mission end UI hides stats in another screen because way too many people take those stats way too seriously.

EV Trinity cries at damage done

  13. 1 minute ago, superiouz said:

Any system can be / get abused by troll but, 3 troll is rare than 1 troll i think.

And i do agree with your idea. But afk leech report is overreact imo. I dont mind to carry / teach newbie player to fight bosses / special mission. But if they just there at the spawn point leeching is diff story. But like i said report for being leech is just overreact in my opinion. The punish should be just kick or not getting the reward, but then again warframe have afk timer that can easily abused with just moving left and right with 0% damage 0 kill.

Maybe 5-10% damage to get the reward. But then again it can easily be abused.

Then why introduce a system that can get abused? DE has stated they don't want a kick system, the majority of players don't want a kick system and the simple reason is because it will get abused, however unlikely you personally believe it would be.

    Reporting AFK Leechers is not an overreaction, they are relying on others to complete the objective for them with 0 input, this is not accidental, this is intentional behaviour, if you want to be a kind person and make up excuses for them then you're a fool. They are violating the rules. You don't have to be a genius to know how to implement punishments for this kind of behaviour. 1 off report over an extended period = probably something came up leave them be. 2-4 reports over an extended period = plausible they were busy so give them the benefit of the doubt. 5+ reports issue warning. Continued behaviour then cut them off from the game for 24 hours. etc etc;

However just improving the report feature solves this problem. A kick system will never be welcomed. Feel free to spend some time exploring the search feature on the forums to see the history (which you should have done before posting this thread)

  14. A vote kick feature will always be abused. You can't rely on good faith that people won't just kick others for the fun of it, no matter how good you believe the warframe community is.

What we actually need is 2 things.
    1) A better way to report players leeching in game instead of having to take multiple screenshots and using up our time going to the support site and reporting these turds.
    2) Either more support or a dedicated team to deal with such matters.

Now @superiouz Tell us how your idea of a vote kick feature can't be abused by trolls who are in groups of 2 and 3 in public matches?

Did you read it? Do you play Xbox when it comes to this post?

Warframe public matches have it where you join at the time where the first step in the objective is beginning or during done.

When it comes to fast missions like capture or rescue players may join right before the prisoner is released or the Vip is captured. Some players who joined a long time (couple of mind probably) may have already gotten their void traces. So some people may be happy to ruin your time to where leaving and not helping with enemies to get traces hardly ever happens. That what the post is about.

(goal) make to where we respect our tenno brothers and sisters and help them in getting void traces before extraction.

Yes I did read it. Public matches are public matches, everyone has their own goal when it comes to it. Some may be mindful of new joiners some won't. You shouldn't expect others to care about your own personal circumstances in public missions. If you honestly don't like it then either run solo, with friends or recruit out of recruiting.
