  1. You choose to play without sound. You choose to not make use of one of the mission's features. I didnt. I want to make use of what the game provides like someone who can make that choice. That's why this is an accessibility topic.
  2. I'd love it if people without hearing impairments would also get more enjoyment out of an accessibility request.

Once the sound happens I can already instantly determine where the demo is coming from, currently I "just" have to spin the camera around to make the directional audio catch the demo sound on my good ear. However as I said this is disorientating to do for a long time as I like to play disruption very high paced. You can just turn off music and turn on game sound if you want to be able to hear the demo approaching. I cant just switch on my bad ear, that's why this is an accessibility issue and has nothing to do with "cheating". The sound being muffled or quiet is completely irrelevant, the direction is what matters. It also doesnt negate anticipating the demo's route because the sound already doesnt just happen mapwide.
  4. Directional audio is enough to instantly determine where the demo is coming from. I want people with hearing impairments like mine to also be able to locate the direction. I am not asking for any sort of buff beyond what is possible already.
  5. With the disruption coming to the new tileset I think it's once again time to talk about accessibility for this game mode with hearing impairments. This is a very important topic for me because I am deaf on one ear and I think disruption is the best designed gamemode in the game. There is a problem with it however and that is that the visual indicator happens far later than the audio indicator for where the demo is approaching. It's not impossible to work around it for me by turning the camera but with the highspeed movement warframe has this becomes disorientating and not in a fun way. There is a very good solution possible for this however in my opinion: make the visual indicator for where the demolyst is coming from show up at the same time as the audio indicator. This way people like me or people with other forms of hearing impairments could enjoy disruption to its fullest without having to rely on disorientating camera spins or having to just wait. Both hold the fun of this gamemode back.
  6. Glad to hear you are warming up to the idea. Reserving some slots for helminth original abilities is sound logic tbh. I dont think 3 is necessary but having atleast 1 could give those abilities a bit of a well deserved usage boost. For me a mainstay would probably be infested mobility but I would probably also do that with 4 open abilities. I assume some other people would go perspicacity for that slot. Energized munitions would also be a strong contender for the helminth ability slot(s).
  7. There is no argument against it if it's not about powerlevel. Already not every frame is designed to please everyone. I dont like Yareli because of the Kdrive. Does that mean she should have never been released? Obviously not. 3 helminth OG abilities and a free one doesnt sound too bad but I think we can easily go further. You are deadset on me being a netbuild meta chaser speedrunner. I am not. Stop viewing this thread through this lense.
  8. I think restricting it to just helminth original ability is going in too hard on restrictions when it's not needed. Many abilities from various frames already cause 0 issues to the game. Only a select few abilities in the helminth system even can push the powerlevel and I am not even convinced complete freedom with helminth could create anything more broken than what we have currently. But what reason is there to lock out stuff like petrify, decoy, smite, blind, etc out of a system like that?
  9. Golden Instinct, decoy and expedite suffering are definitely not meta. Nourish and sunder are. The abilities I want to discourage being used in this frame idea. Like I said in my initial post. I'm excluding nourish, gloom, roar, sunder, dispensary and tempest barrage from being wholesome because they are the meta abilities.
  10. @xXDragonGodXx I'm not dependant on nourish. I play mostly the same frames before and after nourish got reworked. Y'all assuming I am the nourish defense squad are letting your biases get ahead of you just because I mentioned the ability without raging about how it should be removed and that everyone who uses it is just a netbuilding noob. I have seen too many changes being made despite the community or even devs insisting that they will never happen to let this discourage me. Again: this idea is not meant to create a frame that is nourish, roar, gloom, sunder. The person you are defending so much wants it to look like I said that. But I didnt. I want to discourage that while opening the ability to do some much more personal cooking.
  11. (snipped out the unconstructive parts) I gave examples for wholesome abilities: expedite suffering, golden instinct and decoy. Is that not enough for you? Pretty much anything that isnt gloom, nourish, roar, eclipse or pillage could be considered wholesome if you want to be broad with it. Exclude tempest barrage and dispensary if you want to be more strict about it.
  12. I have suggested this thing well in advance of nourish even getting reworked into the current form. Please dont take the opening line that seriously. It's obviously a joke. Also I am sorry to say but I personally dont move the needle on wether nourish has too much usage in DE's eyes or not. No need to become hostile towards me. And nice out of context quote.   14. As we all know with the upcoming nerf to nourish, all of helminth will be balanced (this is a joke) so I think it's time to take the system to the next step. DE doesnt want one helminth ability to lapse all others but we should also explore a new way with this. It is time for Helminth Frame. Give us a frame with 4 blank spots for abilities. Through this we will get usage on atleast 3 abilities other than nourish, possibly even 4. Upsides: There are many abilities in the helmnith system that cant compete with the top dogs of helminth nor with the underlying abilities people are looking to yeet off a frame. A helminth frame with 4 open slots lowers that barrier. Very high customization possibilities. We should let players cook. As a potential tradeoff to further incentivize using some of the less used abilities certain single target, CC and/or distractionary abilities could carry a stat boost for the frame itself. The idea behind this is to make a frame that just slaps on roar, nourish, sunder and gloom suffer from stat disadvantages compared to someone who uses more wholesome abilities like golden instinct, decoy or expedite suffering.
  15. I'd rather not have any more kahl content. Movement just feel irredeemably awful compared to warframe movement. It was fine as a one off during the quest (even if the quest didnt really use it all that well). Similar to the part of second dream where we got to princess carry the operator: fine as a novelty quest thing, awful when made into a grind.

  18. Oh Tharros strike on baruuk is a great idea. I have minimal duration on him ever since getting him but before styanax the only helminth ability that didnt get gutted by having no duration was empower. I guess I havent checked back through all current helminth abilities since then.
  19. I dont remember which frames that i use i havent swapped out anything but I'll bite for the follow up. Frost: Swapped frost wave with nourish Voruna: 4th replaced with roar Baruuk: Elude replaced with helminth strength Gauss: Sunder replaced with helminth speed
  20. You are right but it is successfully obfuscated from most players by having someone else pay for you thanks to plat being tradeable. Many people think it's the same as simply buying mods or arcanes from other players but it isnt. It takes plat out of circulation which eventually has to be bought again. Is it the worst fee to pay economy we've seen in gaming? No, obviously not. But that doesnt make it not be a cashgrab.
  21. Yea I dont really see how even a harsh reduction in nourish values can facilitate a more even usage between helminth abilities. Sure, some people might swap to roar but is a duality of two abilities at the top that much better than just one? So many other helminth abilities arent just not used because nourish exists, they're also bad on their own.
  22. The continuous costs for infusing abilities, removing shards and invigorations dont really do it for me. I know some people celebrated 'finally having a resource sink' but I find those specific ones annoying at best.
  23. Balance has been thrown out of the game long ago. DE has little else left other than usage stats. Grinding out new content more to get an extra copy of the new frame is desireable for DE. People not doing that because nourish is so powerful is not as desireable for DE.

The basic chain of events seemed like it was: Finally we can ship new war oops we forgot to make #grind #content, lets just add another set of bounties oops we forgot to make #rewards for those, lets just put the frame there no one cared for another set of bounties with very weird reward rotations on top of that For me personally the problem was that TNW was such a bad quest story wise that i just closed the game afterwards until archons came out.
