Yeah the pigment mechanism thing sounds doable. Create a new resource drop called "Data", and have the dojo head or high ranking members select a "target" for research. But rather than having to plug in the data manually it would be nice if it auto-uploaded to the dojo research computer. Maybe add a new item that's placed in your Gear load-out or even a cosmetic that allows the collection of "Data".
EDIT: Or add a new function to the Scanner tool.
This is probably the only good thing that was ever said in this thread.

I never defended DE, I just never expressed my argument against Hema because everyone would have already done it. Maybe you can assume I'm DE's puppy because I make some comment that's slightly in the other direction. iirc the first thing i said in-game about hema was something along the lines of "this is stupid"
I was never for the requirements, I just said to move on since it wasn't going to change. It's like Trump becoming president, you may not like it, but rioting on the streets "he's not my president" and destroying property isn't changing anything. I'm not getting political, just a simple example.

The Hema isn't a must have weapon anyway.
Nidus, imo, is a must have, lore-wise since hype was building up for the door, plus it's an entirely new frame and play style.
I feel this weapon isn't worth the rush that everyone must have it immediately... and that's the thing... some people want the weapon immediately, probably because every research req was so low.

There's a very clear limit to DE's "I said so" authority. It may be their game but it's OUR money they're living off of some middle ground has to be reached and a 2-3x drop rate increase on a 100x price hike is like nixon flashing the peace sign.
What's the in-game plat price of Hema anyway?
I mean I bought Nidus with plat ASAP, because I had a gut feeling that he had something to do with the door, and I was right.

hey, i noticed it, not sure others did. After saying what I said earlier, It reinforced that... yeah... the requirements are steep, but if nothing's gonna be changed, we just have to make do.

Yes, some old weapons need a buff.
For example, not even the best Riven will fix the Flux Rifle.
