  1. can someone explain the benefit of a low duration build? with actual data and facts to back up it up?

i was just nidus in an akkad with a well rounded build like yours and all the low MRs were talking S#&$ to me about how i failed because i didnt go for low duration -_-  and i checked all of them to see if they even had nidus and none of them did

so just curious if anyone has tried low dura builds yet

Finally, as for endgame and not having enough energy. I invite you to search the general discussion forum for the video of the premade that did a 6 h30m defense to wave 237 or somewhere around there. Clearly, they weren't having energy issues. if you think the game is fine as is in terms of energy economy, then we will have to agree to disagree.

^ i agree with the rest of your post, but this part i have to comment on

You should not generalize the playstyle, commitment, and skill of a few hardcore players to the rest of the population.  not all of us are able to do what some of these youtubers or hardcore players can do

I only believe the energy economy is fine due to the fact that the only changes DE has been making are those that limit energy usage or even deplete energy if you are not skilled enough to avoid things, strong enough to kill them quick, or fall prey to RNG for % chance of losing energy - besides the trend of the changes DE has been making....i will agree with you that there is an overabundance of energy but only if you discount all the work they are putting into trying to limit us and take it away.  as consistent trends have shown, they are constantly finding more ways for us to have continual use of our energy supply while lowering the benefits of the abilities...anything they can do to add to the grind i guess

Right now tenno powers work on the Queen's guards.

    Use Nova.

    Easysauce.

^ hes pretty spot on....but make sure you clear the ranged shooters that are too close so they dont instakill you in your form

personally i just loki invis and switch to form when i see the red cloud....decoy away from the siphon to keep them distracted

Perhaps it'd be better to get rid of energy supply at all and introduce a reasonable cooldown for every ability.

^cooldown would require reworking all abilities to fit into the scheme of things....that means changing the entire game (focus, abilities, mods, arcane helmets, arcanes, etc)...highly doubt DE has that time

What do you mean by endgame?

^ pads and EV...sorry shouldve added that because it is possible to go without EV for a portion of the time

specifically raids, prolonged endless missions of level 60+, and some sortie missions

end game is being used loosely because.....well there really isnt much end game other than missions that require a ton of S#&$ to die at high levels

so your saying remove nitain AND endo from sortie then what happens when they DO release a massive nitaint requirement weapon or prime frame or what ever it may be?

As I said in previous posts removing the nitain would only break the system further for new players. What I would like to see is a scaling chance as someone had mentioned in another thread regarding riven rewards. If you have 100 nitain you would have a lesser chance then someone who needed 5. While this is a theoretical possibility the coding could be phenomenal BUT while new players continue to join there just isnt the locations atm for them to farm Nitain for quite ALOT of gear including 2 of the best frames Nehza and Valkyr Prime (IMO ONLY NOT A GENERALISED REMARK THERE)

^the point is not to normalize the behavior or the need for high resources.

sybear is a good example of this....too few complained about having too much of one resource, and DE's response is to give a mediocre weapon with high costs.  I would prefer to avoid something like this and have reasonable costs across the board.

Who are we really catering to with these high costs? the veteran players? players who are consistently on 24/7 every day? casual players?  It is really hard to tell, but I do not believe it is fair for players who cannot be on as often as other to be put at a disadvantage and forced to go through the method of endless farming for one weapon.  They make it too easy to cause burnout and give rewards that do not make people feel satisfied for putting in the time.

That is my opinion though......I have been around long enough to see these types of things happen over and over again...I would much more prefer doubling the occurrences of the nitain alert vs having it in the sortie rewards.

  7. DE has consistently been adding content to high energy lvls.  Enemies that take away your energy....statuses that can deplete your energy, nullifiers making your abilities useless.  Hell DE even added in that EV does not work when channeling, pads dont work when channeling, etc.  That being said, I believe how things are right now work out just fine.

In terms of end game, energy actually becomes more scarce.  There is too much movement and too many things going on to truly focus on energy efficiency.  That is why most end game requires an EV to keep a consistent supply of energy while fighting enemies.  Even then when we go too high, EV still cant save us from the hoards of energy depleting enemies.  Pads limit mobility, zenurik has its limitations, and not everyone has the luxury of getting arcane energize at their disposal.  Sure more orbs sounds like a solution, but its actually not.  You can start with full energy with some frames at 500+ and get it all depleted in mere seconds from enemies, then when you run around like a headless chicken trying to collect orbs and they deplete you again....it doesnt do much.  I understand the point of what you're trying to say, but i do not believe it works out the way you think it will.  It certainty does not work with hallway heroes and rushers, because then energy would be spread everywhere and if you are focused on defending one point then youll be screwed because you cant leave to collect said energy.

Archwing mechanics should not be compared to regular gameplay mechanics.  Archwing itself has a vast amount of distance you have to travel and so it makes sense that the drop percentage would be higher because it becomes risky to go after orbs when you "need" it...but that is dependent on the mission itself

If you truly want to find a solution, please consider all aspects of the game as well as a lot of the new content added in to make the game harder for lengthy farming.  We used to be able to go for hours....now we would be lucky to survive 2 hours with decent players in most end game maps.

  8. the correct ratio seems to be 25 plat for 100-250 ducats at the moment with current trade prices...they mustve scammed a lot of ppl and bought junk parts for 1 plat each
^i just did the calculation....he would have had to get 50 ducat worth pieces for around 1-2....i highly doubt he got 800 ducats from 25 plat....market prices match ducat exchanges

though if you try frequently for prime parts....you actually get a lot of crap...so you can sell pretty easily and make ducats quick. but its up to your playstyle...so i doubt they will change it

but i see where youre getting at...but i feel they should have a repeatable quest from baro in order to reward 100-300 ducats per week (not daily)

  9. 21 minutes ago, Aurea_Hiigara said:

Well, since you get the reward no matter who wins or loses as long as you did your three runs, just go with whoever you want.

Hint: Helping the Corpus will let the Razorbacks attack sooner!

    ^ someones paying attention

I would go grineer to delay razorbacks

  10. i agree with OP....Nitain should be removed but also Endo all together.

2k or 4k endo just feels like a poopy move on their part.....

"Hey guys...lets make you travel through the system, do all these questions, and try your best to blow through these repetitive missions.  Then well reward you with a 5% or less fraction of the endo that you received through the entire process and also give you endo that is equal to less than what you could get if you went elsewhere to farm for it.  YAY !!!"

I also want nitain removed because it gives DE a reason to overload resource cost of nitain into new weapons.....

the Cryotic thing was honestly a giant D move...and if they pull a fast one on us and have us use 25 nitain for one weapon....well you all have been warned....

  11. i believe it just opens a can of worms....because if we normalize riven mod farming and its potential of being way overpowered...it gives DE the right to make events and enemies scale to the level of these riven mods

they already have made mods that have safeguards toward powerful weapons....we have to go into transference and put ourselves in a heap of danger in order to kill kuva guards.  if you're soloing you are just effed.  there are bosses with multiple phases or ridiculously high armor rating that take an enormous amount of time (not to mention mechanics in between fighting them, as well as grind and time wall prior to fighting them...i.e. kela de thaym arena time and grind wall..and yes it is a grind for lower lvl players just trying to get saryn because they are not capable of handling the higher level arenas)

I also do not believe that OP was complaining, he is just informing the rest of us and giving his opinion (which i agree with).  It is technically a broken system that has many flaws in it with the potential to be game breaking.  We should put some checks and balances in it now before it opens up to other weapon types and/or warframe mods

Since they've been out literally only 4 days and we've yet to see a hotfix for this week I think we should have maybe the smallest iota of patience to see what happens from that whopping four days of feedback before freaking out.

Regardless, you aren't the only one who has made a thread about the balance of these mods and the randomness and so on and on and on.   Kinda wish a mod would gather them all up into a MEGATHREAD so bits of good feedback here and there doesn't get lost.

^agreed....we can say and give our feedback but we have to wait and see what happens

i just know people are getting get grinded out....DE should really come up with a better system so combat warframe burnout

I cant see how people can still use the "weaker weapons become viable now" when Riven mods exist for top tier weapons like Tonkor. Its like you are just ignoring that broken Tonkor mod up there lol

Riven mods are bad. I quit playing Borderlands due to this kind of BS getting old extremely quickly.

^agreed....that is exactly how i saw it...because people will constantly go for the top tier weapon mods regardless because its what they are used to

especially when you see other people with those mods...it makes it more appealing to keep striving for it...there is no real way to incentivize the weaker weapons if the stronger weapons get the same treatment for riven mods

  14. 4 minutes ago, NinjaKitsune56 said:

I dunno... you've got to invest a chunk of time to get the mod in the first place... plus the fact you need to invest more time to get Kuva if you plan to reroll it.

^if this is what DE considers end game....i think i might be done with this game x_x

sortie grind just to keep getting endo....and then kuva grind just to hope for something that will help with this ridiculous scaling? yeah......

off-point: the new system they put in for endless is just a way for us to burn all our relics and find a way to fight against scaling mobs....which leads to more grind to get useless relics in hopes to hit 5 intervals and use 25 relics...then having to farm 25 more relics to do the same stuff over again xD

  15. Just now, Littleman88 said:

I disagree.  A system this RNG based needs to be more readily available to smack our heads against over and over and over, especially when the pool opens up to secondaries, shotguns, snipers(+bows,) melee, and warframes.

sarcasm or being serious? once it opens up to other weapons (and i hope only weapons because it definitely screws with the game when its added to warframes) it would be a giant shtstorm....

endo is just getting in the way of sorties as this point

  16. Just now, NinjaKitsune56 said:

If they want to burn, literally, thousands of Kuva, and have to unveil it every single time, just for their better stats, more power to them. Even the initial reroll is going to cost you 900 Kuva... and it only increases with every reroll on the mod in question.

^with a game based on grind....i wouldnt be surprised lol and that is already happening right now....i have alliance mates that have rolled 10+ times

I am not sure what "science" of mod building you are talking about. There was always a weapon meta and the status quo was "slam as much damage into a weapon as possible." That has not changed. This only hurts the guys that must absolutely minimax everything and now they can't and/or can't afford to do so. Everyone else takes it as it comes.

^well that just widens the divide between players....i personally do not think that its necessarily fair that one person puts in the same amount of work and gets something less than another....hell even sometimes more work than the other person...and they just happened to be luckier because RNG said so

DE made the system so that there is more fairness in loot...yet they add something like this that is WAY different.  (fairness in loot referring to relics)

but I do understand the frustration behind it all....hell i accidentally sold my riven mod so im S#&$ out of luck cause its near impossible to get one from sorties

  18. i dont see a problem with the mastery ranks....they seem to be based on how many stats are added to the weapon....if you want your S#&$ to be overpowered...then you better be qualified to use it and understand the game mechanics  (and yes i do realize there are some that just powerlvl through...but there are many of us that havent and would appreciate the MR lock)

They are restricted to a single weapon and its variant so that doesn't unbalance the game, in fact, its help to fix some weapons that no one uses, i use more the dera vandal since i got a mod for this weapon.

^in theory yes....but you know for a fact that the majority of the people will keep rerolling until they either get something REALLY good....or they find the weapon they want it for with minor setbacks

I like the idea of riven mods....I just dont like how its an RNG wall behind an RNG wall behind a time wall behind another RNG wall.......

placing it in sorties was a good idea...but they need to effin get rid of the ENDO because theres way too much RNG involved
