  1. I love you, DE. Truly I do. Your studio is the exception to the rule on modern game studios, and for that you will always have a place in my heart. But sometimes I honestly wonder whether your upper management has Alzheimers! You created Warframe... you push out the most amazing content... and then out of nowhere, you seem to completely forget everything that makes your game awesome, and dump something like Dog Days on us. All in, if you only want to get the stuff that's available from this "event" only, you're looking at 80 games of Mission 4, probably representing something like eight solid hours of "gameplay". I say "gameplay", but there's not really any game to it. Or play either, for that matter. Warframe is a runny-jumpy-shooty space-ninja power-fantasy. This "event" takes away all your weapons, all your mods, all your abilities etc. making your Frame of choice utterly irrelevant (beyond cosmetics) and invalidating all the grind you put into your mods and weapons etc. and completely sh*!^ing all over the power-fantasy aspect of the game. Then you have set it at a beach-party (RIP space-ninja), in a copy-pasta arena format (which nobody likes and nobody plays - at least since ESO came out) which you then have to grind over and over and over again, long past the point of fun or novelty, because of the stupidly high prices of stuff. Hell, if you're trying for everything, you'll probably end up grinding this PITAPOS well into "hatred and loathing" territory. [insert obligatory Yahtzee reference] I'm sorry, but anybody that considers this "event" to be fun and/or a good addition to Warframe, is provably wrong!
  2. All I can say is that if DE thinks that Nora of the Annoying Accent (nothing personal... it's just I'm from the UK and that particular accent grates uncomfortably on my ears) is any sort of replacement for space-mom they're sorely mistaken. I can accept (barely) that the story they're telling requires space-mom to go bad. But if Nora's intended to be her replacement... well... I'm not going to do that stupid "i quitz 4eva" nonsense but.... I IZ DISAPPOINT!
  3. Warframe has always been a big, fast game, focused on speeding through levels as the proverbial sanic space-ninja murderising ALL THE THINGS in an orgy of mayhem, power fantasy and particle effects. Then they started introducing world-boss type things like the Eidolons and the Orb Mother etc. Personally I'm not really a fan of these things. They're not perpetually available, which means you have to do it when it IS, rather than when it's convenient for you and, by and large, they're long, repetitive and (after the first few) really, really tedious. I don't enjoy them, but I accept that they have their place, and that there are people who do. Personally, I'd *LOVE* to see a mission-type / map-group based on an Infested tile-set... but not a Corpus/Grineer-taken-over-by-Infested thing, but an actual pure straight up Infested only set. It could have really tiny, narrow corridors, creating a claustrophobic Aliens/Space Hulk like vibe as you're hunted through the tunnels by uber-scary nasties while trying to achieve whatever the mission goal is. It would be even better if AoE-spam was restricted to the very limited sightlines, so you couldn't just run through with an Ember or Saryn nuking everything that can't see you. I know it's not particularly "Warframe-y", but then I didn't really think the world-boss things were particularly "Warframe-y" either, so what do I know. I just think it would be great to have a mission type that relied on resilience, toughness and non-spin-to-win melee (maybe make those weapon/shield combos useful for a change!), rather than tearing around in invisible nuke-frames all the time.
  4. Heyya folks. I've tried looking for an answer for this independently, but either there isn't one, or my googlefu is weak. Does anybody know whether there is any chance the Lotus Ephemera will be available in the future? I couldn't afford to fly to Canada to attend in person, but I'd bought the Digital Pass, and booked leave to spend a day on the couch watching it... then the day before I collapsed at work and had to spend 3 days in hospital missing Tennocon completely! 😢 I've got the NekrosP, and all the plat I need for slots etc. (gotta love the advantages that come with your own credit card! :P) but it would be really nice to get it, even if it's a year or so down the road. Thanks!
