  1. people keep comparing sniper usage with other games that feature normal human beings

    warframes are beyond superhuman - they have god level level dexterity, coordination, & agility

    the weapons themselves fire true and if anything is going to be able to send a round downrange from the hip with perfect accuracy its going to be a warframe

    its pretty much breaking lore and immersion by applying real world inferior human limitations to firearm handling by a tenno in warframe hands

     

    thats not even mentioning how its not conducive with the pace of gameplay, how there is nothing to "get good" at since warframe is nowhere close to the same skill ceiling as actual shooters, how we dont even have the maps or enemies to make use of sniper class weapons in the first place

     

    really just having bonus dmg benefit from zoom without the negative hipfire accuracy loss is enough of an incentive to zoom since players always lust after big dmg

    are we really worried about something like players spamming hipfire shots when things like Tonkor or even bows exist

  3. any stat changes wont make any difference, the recent buff glaivep got made no difference, they are just not responsive enough since the U18 changes

    all it needs is a faster animation with no pre-swings & direct straight throw like it had previously before it was broken & glaives will instantly be useable again

    1200 base dmg would be insanely epic lol

    the game already has hard counters that forcibly energy

    unless if someone only plays low level content ? then they are just playing for casual fun and prob wont be happy having their fun energy reduced

"Overnight word began spreading that perhaps Crytek (CRYENGINE) was in a spot of financial trouble once again, after an anonymous post appeared online from someone claiming to be an employee who had not been paid properly for six months. After publishing our original coverage of this story, a Crytek employee at the company’s Frankfurt office got in touch with KitGuru to better explain what is going on behind the scenes at the company right now. It’s certainly not a pretty picture.

    We will be keeping our source on this anonymous but do be assured that we privately verified who they were and their employment at Crytek. With that out of the way, let’s tackle issue number one- the lack of pay.

    According to our source, things had been relatively stable financially up until around June of this year, at which time, employees at the Crytek Frankfurt office discovered they were not going to be paid on time. At the time, Crytek’s upper management assured employees that all financial problems would be worked out by August and that there would be enough money to remain stable for at least 18 months.

    Payroll was two weeks late for July and August. September came around and payroll was five weeks late. Wages for October and November have actually yet to be paid at all and with December’s pay due in three weeks time, things aren’t looking particularly bright. Our source told us that up until June, there had been no indication that financial issues were on the horizon.

    As you can imagine, morale amongst employees at Crytek is low and apparently resignations are being handed in on a near daily basis. The company is said to have lost some irreplaceable talent over the last few months and many more are seeking employment elsewhere. Those who remain at the Frankfurt studio have submitted a legal letter to management informing them that if wages for October, November and December aren’t paid in full by the end of next week, then they will stop working. Those at the Budapest studio have apparently already stopped turning up to work.

    So where have all of these financial problems come from? Well it turns out that Crytek may have expanded too fast. The company has around 700 employees spread out across its six studios and next to no revenue coming in. The licensing money from Crytek’s 2015 deal with Amazon has been spent and the company has made some poor investments in new projects. Rather than building on stronger IP like Crysis, Timesplitters or Ryse, Crytek has tried its luck with VR and free to play projects, which aren’t paying the bills.

    Over the last couple of years, Crytek has been working on two free to play titles: ‘The Hunt’ and ‘Arena of Fate’. While neither of these have been publicly cancelled, our source tells us that these are failed projects and won’t see release any time soon. In an effort to recoup some money, Crytek’s Shanghai studio as well as the company’s Sofia based studio (also known as Black Sea Studio) are potentially going to be sold off.

    According to our source, Crytek co-founder, Cevat Yerli has not shown up at company headquarters for months and is said to be focussing on other business ventures, effectively leaving Crytek to its fate without a solid business plan. The other two Yerli brothers still show up at Crytek HQ but they have not been taking advice from other members of management on how to move forward and communication has been lacking.
    We have contacted Crytek to see if they are aware of these claims and get their side of the story. I will update if/when I hear back with an official statement.

    KitGuru Says: There are a lot of claims being thrown around about Crytek right now from multiple sources but it is important to get both sides of the story, so hopefully Crytek representatives will be able to get back to us in an official capacity soon. I do hope this mess is cleared up soon and those affected get the wages owed to them."

  7. ive always just pretended soundquake does not exist and its natural now to just consider banshee has only 3 skills lol

    i offer a solution: just change soundquake to intermittent CC instead of its current constant CC effect 

    e.g. waves of CC & dmg that pulse outward, coming from the sonic surge banshee throws into the ground instead of from her, the higher/better your energy efficiency is the less time the source spot lasts but the lower your duration the less time between waves

    Folks who like Banshee being irked by the situation, bringing it up often.  Players who may have never realized how genuinely great Banshee can be asking "why care about her?" and in turn hearing of her various advantageous uses.

    Of course, there's a very safe chance I'm woefully wrong in this.  But Banshee did get brought up quite a lot more as of late in Region due to this situation.

    this sounds pretty legit & makes sense

    one of the odd effects of something just being talked about (good or bad) it in turn gets attention 

  9. have noticed an increase in Banshee usage recently which is surprising

    and not just the soundquake cheese variety but people using her full kit somewhat decently 

    now im curious why the sudden influx ? is it players fashionframing the skin? or finally starting to appreciate her as a frame? a wave of skill increase / playstyle change of newer players ? to prefer more glass cannon archetype over the previous handholding easy braindead crutch mode like valkyr, rhino, old ash,excalispam etc  

    its intriguing, would love to know if the actual stats reflect this or its just a lucky coincidence (prob lol)

    this makes her prime being dumped for valkyr prime (due solely to popularity contest = $) all the more sad and really bad timing, just as she is on the rise among the playerbase consciousness she is denied her place

    in any case its refreshing seeing her around a bit more ;)

  10. Devstream 78:  'Arcane Distillers will no longer be required to remove Arcane Enhancements from your equipment. The Enhancements will still be installed on Helmets and Syandanas but you can now freely remove or install them at will.'

    *hopefully a change to their useage (placement restrictions) will come with this change when it finally arrives

    its been awhile since then, surely its long enough to find a solution to this

    obviously from the countless glaive threads a significant portion of the playerbase is desperate to use thrown melee with the same responsiveness as pre U18, along with all these other suggested improvements

    thrown melee was a fun/unique weapon and its almost a symbolic weapon for warframe going back to dark sector roots making the current ongoing scenario all the more sad 

  12. its been suggested before but again please add a ping indicator next to teammates main UI info

    toggleable on/off in options

    you can glean alot of information from knowing teammates ping, some perceived offense and misunderstandings are caused by connection issue which could be at a glance avoided by knowing a teammates status - its just a small thing but provides valuable information on so many different levels

  13. i wouldnt usually care but i thought gits was special so in this case i care

    imo they got it completely wrong, they misrepresent the original story badly

    first of all scarlett johansson is nothing like motoko physically, her face is wrong(not her racial appearance per se but thats not how motokos chassis face looks like), her cybernetic body is alot more lithe and athletic in appearance so they cast the main character wrong while whitewashing the rest of the real human body cast 

    and in the trailer her performance of the character is wrong, she is too meek, speaks too softly, too feminine and confused by some mystery, she doesnt capture her personality at all

    they even say for the movie she is a one of a kind !? wtf that goes against everything that is ghost in the shell, she is not one of a kind at all there are heaps of others like her they just dont get the free military grade prothesis she has but even then shes not the only one lol so wrong

    and they are military not police even thou they are outside of a defined branch, she isnt a police woman lol wtf

    well the manga is pretty humorous but the rest of the source motoko is actually pretty cold, does not act feminine unless for as a means to a end, very confident and authoritative over her team and completely aware of her own origins and is focused on the job at section 9

    anyways the story isnt about her being lied to about her origins or that shes one of a kind special, the focus of ghost in the shell isnt supposed to be on motoko at all, she is just the main character, but instead the delicious intrigue of the complex futuristic world that is section 9s counter-terrorism operations

    rupert sanders is a terrible director, id wager that ahole doesnt even know a thing about ghost in the shell the only thing he does is visuals and it seems is all they did was take every generic cliche futuretard and superhero origin story slap on some lucy/blackwidow pretty much ruining the potential of the live action adaptation

    BUT WORST OF ALL WHERE ARE THE TACHIKOMAS ?????? u cant have gits movie without tachikomas !

    anyways its obvious the studio just dont get it, the writers just dont get it, no one in production gets it, they just take what they dont know and make it into the generic formula that hollywood puts out & shoves it down our throats

    maybe it will be a entertaining scifi cyberpunk movie full but its not ghost in the shell, hopefully someone will make a proper and correct remake in the future sometime that is faithful to the source
