  1. Just an FYI, it's not just veterans or founders, or any combination of either of those. You're just going to run into that sort of person with that kind of mindset. Whether it be in this game or another. That kind of attitude happens IRL even. The best thing to do is flat out ignore them, or report them to the oppropriate people if they get out of hand.

Hell I've been laughed at in game for being MR22 early on, before. So it isn't one sided.

    Lets try some math...

1 7-day affinity booster cost 80 plat, which can be estimated to be a little over $5 (USD).

The 90-day affinity booster is part of a pack that includes a credit booster for the same duration, as well as cosmetic stuff, for $50 (USD).

Right away we can figure out that 10 7-day boosters (70 days total) are about $50 (USD), with 3 additional boosters (for a total of 21 days) will end up being about $65 (USD).

BUT! Dont forget that the pack also has a credit booster for the same amount of time, which means that you would have to spend a total of about $130 (USD) for the same amount of days for the Affinity and credit boosters.

So, if you want the boost to affinity and credits, than it is absolutely worth it. If its a matter of the Cosmetics... thats beyond me, thats only for your personal tastes to decide.

And to anyone who may ask, this s*** is how I determine whether or not I waited for Vauban's PA to be released, or I just buy plat when the discount tribute shows up.

Though with the up coming Mastery changes possibly alotting free levels depending on MR, I wonder if they'll step up the accessory packs, since affinity boosters effectively will lose some of their potency.

  3. An option to always play as host, so that when I'm solo queueing, I don't have to wait for the game to find me a lobby.

It really gets annoying when the game finds you a lobby, then to have them quit out and you have to queue up again, only to have it happen over and over. (Usually happens when I have my ping set low)

  4. Welcome back Educated.

Yeah things have changed a good bit, mostly for the better, but in the same fashion, there still needs to be a lot more tweaking.

Honestly, I only play anymore to get challenges done, and to get the conclave loot, because in most games someones going to be cheesing, or rage quiting, or even talking unwarrented smack for no reason at all.

Price you gotta pay I guess.

Luckily, all I need is a bit more rep, and then I'm shelving conclave until Tenshin gets more goods in, and playing Dark Souls 3 when it comes out.

  5. Ok, so, as of the creation of this topic, it seems the weekend connection issues are starting again.

For the last three weekends, starting at various times on Fridays, I get the whole "Login Failed, Check your info." prompt.

Funny thing is, I've had no issues during the week. In fact, I was just on moments ago with no issue. But after my last match, after playing several, here I am, back at the title screen unable to log in.

Can we get some sort of acknowledgement that something is happening? I know for a fact that other people are having this issue, I've seen topics of people complaining that they have been unable to log on at all during the weekends.

Honestly, if this is going to be a re-occurring thing, I'm probably going to be moving on.

  6. Whalp. I was able to log in, do a conclave match, and just like DDoS weekend, I'm booted back to the title screen, having issues logging in again.

I really hope every/every other weekend doesn't start turning out like this. It really is putting a damper on my interest in Warframe. Especially after playing for so long.

Tried logging in again, then, instead of it saying " Log in failed, check your info" it gave me this:

    Spoiler

    This is getting spooky

One of my attempts to log in told me that someone was already logged in. Then I was able to log in after a few more attempts, only to get booted back to the title screen not to long after.

  8. Yep same issues.

I imagine it's probably the same salty clowns that messed with Warframe the last event weekend, with Baro's visit. Now that he's back again, it only makes sense something stupid would happen once again to screw with people trying to get his goods this weekend as well.

    I'm at a loss.

It has a 3sec charge to full charge, takes 5 ammo to get to full charge, and eats ammo every second as you hold the charge.

If people are knocking down and quick melee finishing within the 3sec of charge time, they might be able to do the same with the Sonicor, which might mean guns shouldn't ever CC or quick melee is in an unpleasant place.

Other suggestions for Staticor's auto detonate might include decreasing damage like how Sonicor deals little damage but knocks down, or totally removing damage and CC from Staticor so it's just an electric rocket launcher.

Still, its current drawbacks don't keep players from using it over a primary an entire match. It may as well be one, considering, considering most of thr secondaires function more as a finisher weapon, save for the harder hitting ones. But they also require average/above average aim, have a pretty low ammo economy, and provide no control impairing elements.

If the charge were more like the sonicor, I don't think people would have an issue. But considering it literally can take enough health to enable quick melee a viable way to finish off an oponent, it's kind of a slap in the face. Especially since balance looked to have been turning more favorably positive.

  10. Yeah, a knock down that only costs ammo, and requires that you only come in to contact with other players probably shouldn't be doing a whole lot of damage, especially if a few quick melee swipes are all that's needed to finish off a knocked down opponent. It really isn't that hard to run into someone, especially with current mobility system as is.

If its going to keep its damage, than the charge should have a duration not unlike the Daikyu's draw. That way people aren't just running around each match with a full charge until they hit someone. Give it some sort of resource management, because its pretty mindless at the moment.

Or just reduce the damage and put it in line with the other utility weapons.

I agree this needs a balance pass. I wish there was a way for us to tell the devs what needs tweaking without publicly disclosing whats currently broken in PvP. Next thing im gonna see everyone running around staticor charging people, and its gonna give me a headache.

Unfortunately, its already begun. I don't think I've been in a match today without at least one person in the lobby running around like a jackass doing this. It's clearly at the top of the secondaries food chain.

  11. I got home an hour ago, logged on, albeit a bit slower than usual. Proceeded to hop into a few conclave matches, and  then was booted to title screen. Now it takes forever to even try to log in and I'm met with "Login failed. Check your info."

    Whats going on?

Edit: Nvm, didn't see some of the other topics after skimming briefly over some of the subforums, you can ignore this.

  12. I work late lol. But yeah, I think conclave mods only transmuting into conclave mods might be a positive change for players having a rough time with end of match RNG. As it stands, the end of match rates are as horrendous as some of the PvE rates, and considering some of the mods are required to make some of the weapons half way viable, it could be very helpful.

How productive is it for you to keep posting to reiterate how you're not going to respond because you're morally superior?
You've already dedicated your last two posts to getting defensive (and aggressively so) while simultaneously stating that you have no interest in the discussion.
It looks like the only reason you're still responding is throw generic accusations at me.
If you're going to be "the better person", I welcome you to assume that position. Let it happen already.

Its about as productive as you continuing to try and draw me in to an argument with you over what basically winds up being nothing.

I never stated that I was morally superior. Who's throwing accusations at who?

I never explicitly said I had no interest in the topic. I wouldn't have posted initially if I didn't.

You say that my reason for even suggesting what I did is flawed, by saying its OK that some passives are borderline useless (currently) so long as they are balanced over all. That isn't true at all. What's the point in having them if they don't have any ties to a Warframes kit? A few of them, such as Valkyrs passive, allow a player to basically omit any mistakes they might make mobility/movement wise by totally erasing any hard landings the player might make, where as Atlas allows a player basically shrug off any and all knock down mechanics (which get abused quite frequently and are in need of some tweaking) so long as they remain grounded. They're borderline crutches, that allow a player to ignore aspects of game play that other Warframes don't provide.

What's the point in giving a Warframe flavor through a passive if it amounts to nothing in some cases? Is it not better to just remove them for the sake balance in the case of PvP, when they were so clearly implemented for PvE? It's one less statistic for DE to have to dance around, when there are more important balance issues that should be taken care of. Like how the gap closer in Guiding Light shouldn't be the brunt of the damage done by the combo, considering it has a flurry of attacks at the end of the combo that currently don't even need to be used.

I never argued against whether or not Excaliburs passive was too strong or not, but DE clearly saw there was something amiss and adjusted it accordingly earlier this month.

I'm still responding because I'm not going to shut up, I shouldn't have to. Its a forum meant for discussion. No one else here is out for blood trying to shut down everyone's opinion or suggestions. I wasn't trying to be "the better person", I was extending the option to just let this go.

Remember, I'm not the one flaunting empty rhetoric every post. You could have left portions of your critiques unsaid and probably found a better way to get your point across.

You've done everything but straight up call me a moron, and I really don't appreciate it. I didn't put whatever chip you have on your shoulder there, so don't take it out on me. There's a difference between constructive criticism and out right attacking someone's words.

"One of my fingers is broken. Better amputate the hand."
Why are people so eager to strip away dimensions of the game in the name of simplifying balance?
If one thing out of a hundred is broken, we can fix the one thing. No need to discard the other 99.

Except its not just one finger in this case, its however many warframes there currently are, and then however many warframes they add in to the mix after the fact. Sometimes simplicity is a good thing. Some of the passives are going to wind up being completely worthless in comparison to others. There are a few that actually are, and I think its obvious enough that I don't have to highlight them.

I wouldn't call my suggestion an eagerness to strip away dimensions of the game. Its a pertinent alternative. The only other viable thing to do is give warframes PvP oriented passives that aren't the same as the PvE ones (which would be the proper thing to do). Or deal with hit or miss knee jerk adjustments that everyone will or wont be happy with.

In the end, its for the sake of balance, which seems to be the hardest thing to accomplish, when you consider conclave has never been built from the ground up, but rather from a clearly already imbalanced foundation.
