  1. If all companions become immortal I may switch back to my Adarza as my primary companion except when using the original Incarnon weapons. I have enough sources of viral damage in my builds anyway.
  2. I'd prefer this quest being set after TNW due to escalation. It makes more sense if it's leading up to TMITW, which is a concept that bears no meaning until at least Chains of Harrow. That said I seriously doubt DE will lock an entire weapon class behind a quest that requires the completion of so much content. Thus I think it will be set quite early into the game (Even if it makes no sense) unless DE plan to sell the grimoire for Plat.
  3. People have been pushing back since before Regal Aya, yet DE keep repeating the exact same behaviors. This current repeat offense is not due to lack of pushback in previous offenses.
  4. If this was true in any way, shape or form you would never see games such as Survivor IO being top grossers. That's a game that fully disrespects your time to the point it doesn't even let you complete the in-game activities it assigns on daily challenges without spending their premium currency. Applied to WF that's like requiring you to pay plat just to complete your daily Nightwave challenges. Whales don't care about their time being respected; that's explicitly the reason why they can be reliably targeted. Survivor IO being a mobile game doesn't change that unless you wish to imply mobile whales and console/PC whales are different demographics (They are not. Look at Diablo Immortal). Whales are going to whale.
  5. Content and systems added/changed since 2018: - At least 12 new Warframes. - At least 15 new arcanes. - Some frames got full reworks from scratch (Wukong, Ember). - A system to "swap" WF abilities via the Helminth was added. This necessitates sacrificing a specific WF to make its DE-chosen ability available for other frames. This effectively doubled the grind unless you're OK with using a frame only once for mastery and sacrificing it later. - New mission types (Disruption, Void Flood, Void Cascade, Mirror Defense, Kuva Survival, Conjunction Survival). - Nemesis systems for both Grineer and Corpus. They award specific weapons with elemental bonuses (Heat, toxin, radiation) based on the WF who "created" the Nemesis after you kill them. Most current top of the line weapons are acquired via this system. - New cosmetic types. - Space combat with your own battleship (Railjack) and its mission types, with some of them being unique (Such as "Volatile"). - Operator focus school reworks. - Corpus tilesets were remade. - Status effects were reworked. They no longer are an on/off effect but rather stack to different levels of effectiveness as more duplicate status effects are added. - Status effects themselves were changed. Viral increases damage on health instead of cutting life in half. Heat reduces armor by half. - Finishers were reworked to make them look cinematic. - Eximus units were reworked. They also have an "overhealth" mechanic called Overguard that protects them from crowd control abilities until their overhealth is drained. - Hard mode (The Steel Path). Has unique rewards such as condition overload versions for guns. - Acolytes now spawn regularly in hard mode instead of being a yearly event but they no longer drop Acolyte mods. They were moved to regular missions. - Arcanes for guns. - A battle pass system with weekly challenges to earn cosmetics and reactors. - New tilesets (Zariman) and open world maps (Deimos, Duviri). - New main story quests. - Weekly sorties that award you items with permanent stat boosts for the WF using it until the item is removed (Can then be assigned to a different frame). These are unlocked after progressing the main story. - Rivens were reworked so new weapons always start at minimum disposition and they get adjusted regularly with each Prime Access. - Riven buffs percentages now take into account individual weapons within a family instead of the entire group. - You can play as a Grineer in specific missions unlocked after progressing the main story. These missions also award permanent boost items. - An in-game graveyard/memorial was added for the creator of Clem as a tribute after he died. - Steve and the old guard are working in a new game (Soulframe). Reb was promoted and is now the creative director. - Current MR limit is 33, represented as "Legendary 3" rather than MR33. - Duviri is an Operator/Drifter-centric open world map with an emphasis on melee combat. - There's a new endless mission rotation mode in Duviri called The Undercroft, with each round cycling between Exterminate, Defense, Void Flood, Survival and Excavation. You can not choose the WF and weapons you want from your loadouts or arsenal. Instead you are offered a random selection of WF's and weapons to pick before the mission begins. This is the closest to endgame we have considering how much it involves. - There's a weapon upgrade system called Incarnon. You can turn select old weapons like the Lex, Boar, and Latron (Among others) into monsters. This system works by enabling an alternate fire mode for these weapons after the adapter for that weapon (Individually for each specific weapon) is farmed. The Incarnon adapters are farmed via the hard mode of the Duviri endless mission (The Undercroft). This practically makes hard mode mandatory now if you want access to this entire gameplay system.
  6. By that logic software development costs nothing. - No cost in man hour salaries to concept artists. - No cost in man hour salaries to renderers/modelers. - No cost in man hour salaries to programmers. Just because a product is digital doesn't negate the salaries paid during the creation of said digital goods. Yes; it's "free" once the product is released, but it still needs to recoup all the above first before it can become profitable.
  7. I don't recall the exact content of the interview, but given it took place in April 2020 we can define a window of recent events leading to it (Including Scarlet Spear and before Railjack Revisited). It should be noted that Brozime seemed to had taken Scott's observations to heart though. By the time the second dev interview happened months later the tone of his videos had changed drastically. More so because Scott told Brozime that implying the devs actually hated the game and wanted it to fail helped no one.
  8. That was Scott directly addressing Brozime during one of Shy's now-deleted dev interviews. At that time Brozime defended himself by saying he's "playing a character".
  9. EDIT: Beaten and corrected by @(XBOX)C11H22O11 DE has not clarified this, but I presume they'll just create a system to validate and merge accounts. At that point you won't have a PS4/5 save and a PC save. You will just have a single master/main save.
  10. This is something free players often miss. "Paying with your time" is a PR euphemism to not insult you as a potential customer (Because you are no customer until you pay). Unless the game was secretly mining some bitcoin in the background: Your 6K playtime hours across 10 years amounts to zero dollars to DE if you didn't buy (Not farm: BUY) Plat, Prime Access, Prime Vault, Regal Aya and/or supporter packs during that time frame. At that point you need a whale to offset the revenue you didn't contribute while "paying with your time". Ergo: A single purchase from player 1 that contributes in the name of player 1 and 2, and potentially/ideally 3 and 4 at the same time (Because the ratio of free vs paying players is unlikely to be 1:1).
  11. Yep. It only works for so long though. I've compiled every instance I failed to realize their "open to feedback" is an Overton Window set in stone. They are not even considering if what they are willing to consider is pre-set already: No feedback taken for Arbitrations reworked (Bonus: DE re-introducing community-rejected changes 2.5 years later exactly as initially rejected. DE literally waited it out and expected everyone to change their minds): No feedback taken for the original Prime Resurgence because the event was set in stone: No feedback taken for the Angels of Zariman Focus rework for Naramon, effectively still leaving it with just 1 passive despite being the absolute most popular and common suggestion: No feedback taken from Holokey farm rate (1 entire month of DE "considering feedback" only to go through exactly as they proposed and closed and closed to the thread): This is why I no longer share constructive feedback or give suggestions or even voice my disapproval at DE's decisions. I either take it as it is without any lube or stop playing the game. My voice doesn't matter. None of our voices do and won't ever matter until DE become transparent about the things they are willing and unwilling to change.
  12. Keep telling yourself this backlash is somehow not something they expected and still chose to go through with it after the Prime Vault > Regal Aya situation. They being out of office or taking the wise approach of waiting doesn't negate, excuse or soften the fact they thought they could get away with it as their first choice. Indeed. We don't know how big of a backlash they expected, but this likely falls within their considerations.
  13. I'm buying in 2 weeks when my paycheck arrives. I don't have a problem with the value proposition because I don't have all Prime accessories and will use the plat to buy Wisp Prime or Dagath. That said I do agree a bundle without Raya and Plat should be made available at a lower price for those who don't need those items.
  14. Which is why I say DE shot themselves in the foot by not naming these as Prime accessories. They should have gone the Excalibur Prime route with this.
  15. I do believe it would have changed the context, because I expect for Prime accessories to: 1) Only be acquired via cold hard cash. 2) To be gone for around 4 years if you didn't buy the Prime access on time. This is FOMO. Being celebratory doesn't change it. Precedents set expectations. Such a shame you are on the bleeding edge and thus have nothing to use your resources on. Me on the other hand don't have every single Prime accessory in the game and just returned from a 2-month break while I played other games, so I'll be using plat to get Kullervo and Wisp Prime. As I mentioned before: I think there should be a bundle without the Plat and Raya for those who don't want it. I just think there's a group who are upset at having to pay with cash rather than using Plat they can farm for free in-game. Those will not be placated by a cheaper bundle and DE shot themselves in the foot by not anticipating this.
  16. I regularly buy plat and Regal Aya and thus don't mind the pricing; seems reasonably as a bundle considering the cost of the rest as stand-alone items. That said I can see why some people are upset at this. Even if they were offered a bundled without Raya and Plat they would not accept not being able to use the plat they've farmed for cosmetics. Ignoring the FOMO, would those people be more open if the bundled had been titled Primed Heirloom Collection as it would have signaled the expectation of a direct cash transaction (As opposed to plat) as with each and every single Prime accessory?
  17. OP: While I understand you feel frustrated at what you perceive to be as difficult content there are others like me who feel frustrated at how easy WF is today vs 2018. Enemies have been nerfed into oblivion to the point level 999 Steel Path enemies are still easier than what we had back then. That's the WF I miss. You and I will never see eye to eye. Every time DE makes the game easier and so brain dead even a Deadite from Evil Dead can beat it on raw stats alone they push me away from the game. We are different people. Your definition of fun is incompatible with mine, and I will not feel pity for you at the expense of my own enjoyment. Something's got to give.
  18. "Thank you for creating a problem and then selling me the solution. I appreciate it just as much as the Italian mafia selling me protection from arson".
  19. You make it sound like DE don't have internal build metrics to see those broken builds themselves. People could make no mention of a specific build ever and DE would still know about it due to their usage statistics.
  20. "Valkyr is fine and doesn't need a rework; just give her one of the most broken abilities that helps most frames in most situations (Nourish) and give her a go". This thread is about Nyx but it's the same sentiment. If you need another frame's abilities to just function there is a fundamental problem with the core frame's kit at a design level.
  21. I don't see "endgame content" listed as an exception to DE's defined Riven update criteria. Furthermore they have the ability to filter out usage statistics explicitly by those who have access to the endgame content and sample the pool size from there, as shown when they presented completion rates for specific quests and participation in new game modes.
  22. To me that sounds like late June at the earliest. Thanks for the heads-up.
  23. They also confirmed they are working on the 3rd orb mother fight. They even added a drone around its lake as a hint, so more Narmer content.
