I can't give valid critique yet because I'm optimizing cache, but this seems like a really bad way to "improve" our guns. This mod setup will only apply to a miniscule number of guns, and you've effectively nerfed the crit potential of other guns by making Critical Delay and Creeping Bullseye mutually exclusive with the regular crit mods.

On top of that, there is zero reason to ever use Creeping Bullseye over PPG except in the incredibly niche case of Hemorrhage, and on rifles offers a miniscule crit increase for a harsh penalty.

Not only that, but I'm going to need a TON of forma to respect where those mods were formerly used.

  2. Nevermind, apparently it was a mission requirement that I only use the pistol. I wish it would have told me that before the mission started. I only managed to figure it out by equipping only a melee weapon and it told me I had to have a pistol.

  3. Hi,

After a long absence from the game I've read up on melee 3.0. I'm trying to use a melee weapon by pushing E and nothing happens. I don't draw the weapon, I don't use it, nothing. I've tried resetting my key bindings to defaults and that didn't help.

Am I missing something? Is this bugged?

    I'm on a pc using a keyboard.

EDIT: Thinking from a creator standpoint: Wouldn't you rather find out why people dislike something and how to meet a middle ground than just seeing how many people click a button? Patch notes are long, there are a lot of changes to dislike, and a "downvote" doesn't convey which part you disagreed with.

Think about it from another creator standpoint: Wouldn't you rather get a broad idea if something is linked or disliked rather than reading thousands of comments? You still have all of the data on who voted. You can contact them for more info later if you need to understand why if they didn't post a comment. Heck, you can tie the downvote button to something that requires a comment before you're allowed to downvote if you really want that comment. That doesn't negate the value of the downvote button.

I deal with user-generated content on a daily basis at work. I know which approach is more useful to me. Granted different people have different approaches to gathering and interacting with data.

Their goals are different than ours. There was no jump to this conclusion. We had a downvote at one point. This is from experience.

    Can you elaborate a bit?

In what ways are their goals different? The goal of organizing content?

You say this is from experience. What data supports this hypothesis specifically? Having downvote doesn't preclude discussion.

As @krc473 mentioned, downvoting isn't constructive. Disagreement is very important, and it requires nuance and dialogue that a downvote can't convey.

Several websites disagree. Reddit, Stack Overflow, etc. I suggest looking at existing UX usability studies before jumping to conclusions.

  7. I have the same problem please help. I'm playing on the PC with keyboard and mouse. Clicking does nothing.

Edit: I used ctrl+alt+delete and restarted the game. It worked on the second attempt.

  8. This is a personal opinion that most I fully realize most of the community doesn't agree with, but since you asked:

    • Story mission progress prevents you from playing missions you want to play and forces you to play missions you don't like.
    • PoE / open world.
    • Archwing, sharkwing, & operator modes.

I'm not a fan of any of them, and it feels like I'm never going to get more of the game I used to experience. It was great while it lasted, and I certainly didn't expect it to last forever. I'm just sad. At least I can still use new frames & weapons on the old content 😄 (except for the old void)

    People hate new tilesets.
New enemies are in the new update, more factions are just fluff.
This isn't new lore? Ship sailed on the Operator years ago, you might want to jump ship now.
    More weapon types why?

I disagree. I'm not sure how anyone could hate new tilesets. I also don't think factions are fluff. More weapon types why not?

What would you rather have? More of the same stuff we have had for years?

Yes. 1,000 times yes. Exactly that. Some other ideas:

    New tilesets
    New factions/enemies
More lore & less operator focused
    More weapon types

I think you're in a very small minority then

I'm sure I probably am. I've been playing Warframe a long time though and I keep seeing it diverge more and more from the game I loved. Fortunately I can still play the old content for now.

  12. Things I don't want:

    • Another open-world area. I'm sure some people will be happy but I'll probably never use it unless I have to.
    • Railjack? That seems like such a huge deviation and waste of development resources. I'm sure some people will like it, but once again I won't be playing it. I'm even less likely to play that than I am to play another open-world area. On the plus side I'm slightly more likely to play railjack than I am to use archwing/sharkwing.

It's not all bad though. Things I AM looking forward to:

    • Nintendo Switch and PC crossplay. That's huge and I'm happy 😄
    • More frames
    • More quests

Get new things ? Weren't there enough shinies already, I can't even memorize all the weapons and cosmetics names in the game .

No. I miss the good old days where new weapons came out weekly with new Warframes at most monthly and new tilesets quarterly at most, and all of that without prime / vandal / whatever variants.

It's not like the old missions are going away or are being replaced completely by the open-world style.

Again we lack sufficient information. I certainly hope that's not the case but we don't know.

  15. My idea of what makes Warframe fun:

    1. Quickly choose between short mission types and equipment loadouts on small randomized maps.

    2. Kill things.

    3. Repeat.

    4. Get new things.

Open world requires too much time investment, too much exploration, and not enough variety.

But seriously, what about Eidolon makes you uncomfortable? You're being really vague here, and it makes me wonder.

It's not a style of play that I enjoy. It's not a question of comfort, it's a question of fun.

  17. I really don't want an open world Warframe forced upon me. As long as I can keep playing the way I'm currently playing then I'm happy. I can mostly avoid arcwing. I can avoid PVP. You have done an acceptable job so far of keeping all of that optional. I really hope I can avoid open world. Please don't make me play Eidolon. I'm happy that it's an option for those who want it, but don't force the rest of us to be unhappy.
