This! If this was a change I didn't see it in the notes, Ivara is my most used and I only noticed the change since 26 hit on console.  I actually thought it was a bug because I could stealth snipe to my hearts content prior to Old Blood but now no ranged works including bows and thrown weapons which are naturally silent.

If this was intentional does anybody know where they mentioned it or posted cos I'd like to take a look at the details from DEs lips?

    Hello

Yes it was mentioned in the last devstream that there are issues with stealth that DE are aware of, thing is we don't know exactly which issue these are, could just be ranged stealth with a silenced weapon, but there are other issues that are covered on page one of this thread.

There's also the problem of highlighting the difference between changes and new iterations of tilesets, for instance, the new Jupiter tilesets are completely reworked, but I noticed whilst tiptoeing around with Ivara that the Corpus were becoming aware of me despite not actually firing a single shot. It could be argued that new tileset, new rules, so it's not a compare X to Y situation because of the new tileset and new enemies within it, trouble is, there's no way of knowing what the true intentions were as far as stealth mechanics go for Jupiter, but it wouldn't necessarily be in the patchnotes as it isn't a change if it was just meant as an evolution for that tileset, does this make any sense? 😃 I know what I mean, I think I'm just struggling to put it into words. ☺️

I personally would be happy if the whole stealth mechanic worked as functionally as it did 6 months or so ago, but with the spaghetti code being as it is, it could take quite some time sifting through in order to return it to it's former glory.

    Cheers

Which are also symptoms of DE nerfing the hell out of stealth mechanics in the game.   Something in which I've been hoping the Ivara Prime release will hopefully address.

Hi there DatDarkOne and other fellow stealth peeps

Apparently DE haven't made any intentional nerfs to stealth recently, only the ones mentioned in the patch notes of the past, the bulk of the wonky stealth play are the result of unintentional bugs.

We've been having a good ole chat about it over here

DE are aware of the bugs related to stealth, so it hopefully it will be sorted sooner rather than later.

    Cheers then ☺️

  3. Hi there

I've had that happen to me during an Interception mission on Xini, was lucky to find a decent group who stuck to their own point so there was no reason for me to move, just defend my own point, which I did, I killed a few bits and pieces and yet received no reward due to inactivity.

I appreciate having a system in-game that punishes AFKers, not a big fan of those, I suppose there are a handful of AFKers that use fairly elaborate macros to kill stuff, but I imagine they are a very small minority, so I'd prefer the system being less strict and as long as you are actively killing stuff you should be entitled to the loot.

on sortie rescue missions the alarm is auto triggered not sure how they sense 4 cloked lokis in a door way unless its my bright pink energy

That's just the mechanics of the sortie rescue, it's always been that way, adds an extra layer of minor trickiness, Lotus announces it during the sortie, something along the lines of, "If they see a shock of pink energy come through the doors they'll instantly sound the alarm" or something like that. 😄

  6. Hi there

The problem is, we don't know whether this is a stealth stealth nerf, or code went wonky during an update because nothing was announced, surely if something as important as a major game mechanic was drastically changed it would be in the patch notes somewhere?

DE have been transparent about the majority of game changes they've made, regardless of their potential unpopularity, so despite this undesired change persisting for many months, I've still got my fingers crossed that they'll get around to fixing it one day. ☺️

It'd be nice if you could somehow 'antagonise' the game to produce more enemies, some kind of buff or consumable that floods the level in a short burst, should you need it.

I really like the idea of a spawn booster blueprint, you could tier it so you could perhaps have x2, x3 and x5 blueprints, this would also give us hoarders a reason to use our stockpile of resources that sit there gathering dust. ☺️

    Nice

  8. Hi there

I'd definitely prefer the sort of spawns you get from a sortie rescue just after you've rescued the NPC to be incorporated into survival, I associate survival as fighting massive hordes and waves of enemies, not trying to survive on meager oxygen drops, though it could be argued that they're both a form of survival, standing around twiddling your thumbs in between spawns is less fun. ☺️

There's also a disparity when running fissures, during extermination for example, you could have all 10 reactants in 30 seconds, where as survival, excavation and interception the reactant drops are much scarcer, every now again being stuck with 8 or 9 reactants when the mission ends.

The spawning and pathing of enemies could use a bit of tweaking. ☺️

    Cheers then

  9. Hi there

I solo those too and the aimless wandering can be a pain, it's a shame you don't have Vazarin, I pretty much spam that, spawning Spectres can be helpful too, they used to revive defence and rescue NPCs but they don't anymore, it's hard to know whether it was a conscious decision or an unintended bug but nether the less they can be useful.

If you own Inaros and the Rage / Hunter Adrenaline mod you can pretty much spam pocket sand, gives you some handy cc as well as nice survivability.

    All the best.

  10. I think out of all the proposals, 50 traces is something I'd be happy to see as a reward, but I just can't see it ever happening.

Thing is, with so many playstyles it's so hard to cater to everyone, some are sitting on mountains of Ayatan Stars, some, massive hoards of Forma, some have masses of Kuva because they dislike the Riven system whilst others would like Kuva to rain down upon them, what ever DE choose for loot tables will upset someone.

I would really love 50 traces as a reward though. 😃

    CDPR

You know it's amazing how folk tout CDPR as being the pinnacle of game development studios all others should aspire to, and granted their views on DRM, DLC and microtransactions are both refreshing and commendable. But when Witcher 3 hit, the CDPR forums were flooded with problems of bugs and various criticisms and the forum moderators were incredibly heavy handed, banning players left, right and centre.

If the Warframe forum moderators took the same stance of those on CDPR's forum, then most of the serial complainers would have been banned by now. I think there's a growing population of posters that take the ability to communicate with the Warframe devs for granted almost to the point where making demands on them wrapped in insults and disdain has become the norm.

It is possible to leave constructive feedback or report bugs without having little sly digs our full blown insults, just consider them as human beings and in the same room as you and how you'd communicate with them if that was the setting, I'm sure most would be much more respectful, and if they wouldn't, that's pretty tragic in of its self.

I'm pretty sure the DE staff are working flat out, do you really think barking orders at them is going to make them work 110%,or change anything?

Also, being grateful, respectful and appreciative of the game devs and expressing that is not white-knighting, where as appearing on every thread and saying everything is perfect when it isn't is, white-knighting is hurtful to game development, it can be very beneficial to have an open dialog with your playerbase, but having to wade through piles of insults and sarcasm only dilutes their ability act on what the playerbase wants.

  12. Hi there BlindStalker

I couldn't possible correct you or add anything to that because I did exactly the same. 😃

I went through so many frames trying out different techniques, I actually did the excavation with Wukong with tombfinger equipped, so while I was failing around with my melee my twin was spamming radiation which proc'd every now and then and helped with a bit of handy CC.

After failing miserably with many frames during survival, I too hit Youtube for some useful hints and tricks and I too found a guide that used Hildryn and Nami Skyla, I went with that and was so suprised at what a breeze it was to both do damage by spamming heavy attacks and the survivability from spamming Hildryns 2 ability. The survival mission itself wasn't that easy as I was really struggling for life support drops, I only just made it.

For the defence, same slam attack and Hildryn 2 ability spam, it was very hectic, the lack of Animal Instinct or enemy radar made it extra tricky, after 4-5 waves I started leaving ospreys floating around whilst the defence target got its health back to full, lots of standing around twiddling my thumbs. Same if the last enemy was stuck somewhere, I'd just leave them there until the defence object was back to full health, I think I would have ragequit if I had got to stage 14 then failed. 😃

I never want to do anything like this again, I was so glad when it was over.

Thanks for sharing this BlindStalker and I hope you feel better soon.

  13. Hi there

Would you please consider removing the ability of the Lich to steal Void Traces.

    WrwwoRv.jpg

I had a double drop booster and getting this sort of reward is demoralising, especially as you need Void Traces to upgrade the Requiem relics too.

There's nothing to stop a string of bad RNG, never getting the Parazon mod you need to kill the Lich, so you enter into an endless loop of running fissures, getting traces stolen, eventually getting 100 traces, upgrading a requiem relic, not getting the Parazon mod you need etc etc.

Also, if this goes on long enough, the amount of traces stolen could stack up to the point at when you finally get them back you may not receive them all if you've reached your Void Trace cap, especially if your a lower MR player with a lower cap.

So please consider removing Void Traces from the Lich's stealable list.

Thank you very much for reading. ☺️

  14. Do we really need 5 different threads moaning about forma?

For me forma is too common, too abundant, but I'd never want it changed because I realise I'm in the minority.

Forma is there and readily available to all for very little effort.

  15. Hi there

I play 95% of the game solo, I will join a group for Radshares for the prime parts I need only if if they are a gold or silver tier reward, if they're a standard common bronze I'll just plough through them solo until I have it, my biggest problem with soloing fissures is an over abundance of forma blueprints. ☺️

I also find soloing the Tridolon challenging and I sometimes fail, that's an aspect of the game that becomes exponentially easier the more of you there are dishing out damage. (providing everyone does their bit or you're not constantly reviving them). ☺️

Good lord if I have that amount of BPs, it'll take 127 days to complete. Obviously you don't really need that much but really, like I said, one Forma per day is taxing.

This is genuinely my second stack of 100, I deleted 100 blueprints a while ago, those forma BPs haunt me. 😩

    XtNlpQK.jpg

This is what an average solo fissure survival looks like to me.

    vgMLR9h.jpg

    It's quite demoralising.

  17. I hate forma, I am cursed, I'm a forma magnet, if there's a forma blueprint on a relic I'll end up being lumbered with it. 😖

    VxTwImP.jpg

I'm relieved to actually have something to use them on, as for patience I've just finished soloing for the Grendel parts and that has to be closest I've been to losing them, thank heavens I only have to do that once, awful, terrible business.
