  1. 1. Give her Fireball 500 armor ignore damage and a 6-8 meter blast AoE. I think impact should ragdoll enemies and send them flying.

    2. Increase the base damage to about 350 which would be 700 on infested and give it about a 4 meter AoE to stop Toxics and Ancients from getting to Ember.

    3. Make the initial blast of the enemies stun bad guys and then coat them in flames so it can be a good close quarters "Save my Life" skill. Add damage to everything inside of the ring. It should have been a circular AoE not a stupid ring.

    4. Remove the enemy limit and add armor ignore/Armor 2.0. Removing the enemy limit is good because I hate during infested missions when I use World on Fire and it happens to catch 3 Ancients and then limit itself to those 3. I have to literally find the Ancients during my short ultimate and kill them just so it can go back to burning normal infested.

Ember has a great moveset. DE just doesn't want to make her current moveset any good.

I agree with what you said on everything, except for the enemy limit.  If Ember can hit unlimited number of enemies, then why would Vauban be limited?  Just playing a bit of devil's advocate.

  2. Nyx and Saryn are still viable well over level 100.

Ember stops being viable around level 50.

This is coming from an Ember main.

Ember deserves this more...especially after what she went through during closed Beta.

What would you propose be changed on Ember to make her viable through level 100 Anarties?

  3. Maybe some day I will be a problem too.

But the blog that guy wrote is pretty much common sense.

You should make a correction there to say "is pretty much something that should be common sense."
  4. I think I try my best to provide consructive criticism/feedback. That DE doesn't get much love from me is self-inflicted. There is absolutely no need to insult or make things up - the truth suffices.

And, yeah. Yes-man are a problem. I think I said that, too. ;)

Yeah, I've tried too many times to count to provide civilized constructive feedback on various systems within the game from networking protocols to minimum game spec statement revision to suggesting improvements to their support department (which I also do for my job and have hundreds of awards for customer service).  You know what has happened?  Nothing.  I've even written directly to the their staff here on the forum and they'll respond back in a manner to make you think they actually cared about the feedback, but they really don't care.

Now, I agree with Ced23Ric on some points, but I also disagree with him on others.  And this actually applies to a few other posters in this thread as well.

    1.  I've tried to give constructive feedback identifying the problem, and if possible, a solution that resolves it.

    2.  DE is getting much less support from me the longer they allow old major issues like not following networking ISO standards (reason for NAT issue).

    3.  Even though I completely agree that "personal" insults are not "nice".  They can also burst a person's "ignorance bubble" and in a way, force that person to fully engage with the person that made the insult(s).  Granted, this is not the ideal way to begin a constructive discussion, but it is still a viable communication medium.  People are generally the most honest when they are upset and don't hold anything back.

    4.  As for Yes-men/Fanboys/Worshippers... I don't agree 100% that they are useless.  I do agree 100% that they do not promote the continual improvement process that every technology professional knows and follows if they have any common sense.  However, those Fanboys/etc. do "stroke" the developers' egos back to health after the verbal/written bashing by the testers/players reporting on what isn't perfect yet.

  5. Hi to all, i just want to say that as a software developer, it's hard to appeal to everyone, sometimes you know about the issue but you cannot make a response as fast as the community wants, it's fine to love the game and ask for improvements, but i'll be nice to ask things in a proper manner... by the way if a user told me that i don't know my own app... i would feel very insulted, developers know things that end users like us cannot remotely see happening...

    Sorry for the bad english...

So you think that every single person who can code an application for a windows environment is like some kind of genius, right?  I have a question then for both you and all the DE staff.  How many programmers do you know that have been rated to be at genius IQ (it's a range, I know!) and know everything about the language they program in and the applications they have created.  Because I'll tell you, I have had a state certified psychologist give me an IQ test when I was fifteen and I was only 2 IQ points short.  And that's with having memory issues after surviving an F5 tornado ripping my house off the ground when I was in the basement.  Why you may be asking does that matter?  Because part of an actual scientifically-backed IQ test is memorization.  Now add in there about how at this point in my life at 30 years old I know over 15 programming languages.  Do you think I know everything about even a single one of them or trust 100% of my code in any of the apps or sites I've programmed?

Do you make games? What kind of software do you make? Do you actually use your product on a daily basis?

He's an amateur Krull, don't bother.

The point here is that this game, and now it seems the forums too, are going downhill, and we should all know what rolls downhill.  I'm not referring to snow or mud here folks.  The question is whether or not DE can turn things around and actually recover the consumer confidence they once had.  I trully hope they do because I'd hate to think I wasted money on yet another abyssmal failure of a company by buying into a founder's program.

  6. ok lets discuss the new rifle which will be better than soma

    in short:

    You: "OP nurf plz"

    Me: "Progression"

    You: "stagnancy"

    Me: "booooring"

    You: "insults"

    Me: "Voodoo"

    Mod: Banhammer

You forgot the troll in the middle of the conversation.

  7. Word on the street is he got a warning point without breaking any rules.

Must have given himself a warning point for having to be a kick with a capital D to so many forum users while he was a com mod (no offense to C3drick btw, it is very apparent now that it was the job).  It's why I've only helped moderate a forum for someone else's site once before.  I promised myself I'd never put up with the garbage from that role for any game company unless I get payed really good.  DE is no exception.

*edit*  I should be more clear.  I'm saying it must have been C3drick because DE doesn't give their own staff warnings when they break forum rules.  If they did, Rebecca would have been banned a long time ago with all her irrelevant/pointless cat pictures in her previous posts.  And just keep this in mind any mod or admin thinking of giving me another warning for that comment.  I'm not bashing DE there.  I'm bringing to light facts that any community member can find for themselves with a simple filter search.

  8. Yeah, I got one for saying that a poster was going to make use of a Hammer of Stupidity on members of the community, which apparently directly translates to me calling the poster stupid.  Kind of funny when you think about it since I never actually directly called the poster stupid, but rather insinuated that he had a fantastical weapon which could impart that quality.

  9. snip to shorten

I honestly don't know what to say right now.  It's a really creepy day when the mod that I suspected was being protected by those he was volunteering to do free work for, first resigns from his position as DE Moderator, and then begins to reveal all this information that should have been widely discussed on the forum here, and yet wasn't, and I begin to actually agree, and dare I say it, respect that former moderator.

DE, I'm not going to bash you here, but I gotta say.  This has got to be incredibly embarrasing for you (I'm assuming you have the moral integrity to be bothered).

  10. the slow is 50%.  so imagine on a loki being slower than a rhino, a lot slower than a rhino or frost.  it should be 25% to compensate since slow is the biggest problem with a fast paced game.  I suppose you could add sprint and marathon to compensate but all the same it needs to be less than 50%.

    Edit: rewrote :P

Also to the guys bashing the op for grammar? Seriously? Are you 13?  He got his point across and that is basically all you need to do on the internet.  Stop being so French with English and get over it.

They probably can't help it.  They probably moved up to Canada to be closer to DE :D

  11. Just imagine yourself being able to type 90 -100 words a min perfect and your grammer was superb and then some horrible accident takes that way from you how would you then feel if all you got were people taking the &!$$ out of how you type when you used to do it perfect i do have feelings you know, and i am not adversed to joke now and then if you put it in a funny way i probllay wouldnt care and may even laugh with you but i cant allways help it i do my best but it take me 10 times as long to ype if i am to meet your standards and i honestly cant stand the amount of pain it causes me to do that i would rather spend that time playing i try to make my point and if you cant gleem what point it is im trying to make then dont comment at all better still go break your own fingers then try and type and see how it feels to be ridiculed dude not everyone is perfect and some of us have metal and physical disabilties and unless you think god wont smite you someday maybe you could try and be a bit more tolerant of less unfortnate people other than yourselves.

And dont get all high and mighty because a criipled has a go back at your be man and just acept the fact you probllay well i am sure you get the point.

    End of Rant..

I just try to ignore people like that.  I may not be in the exact same boat, but I am in a similar situation to you.  Basically, I used to weigh 119 lbs on a daily basis, never moving more than 1 or 2 lbs in either direction.  I never had to work out or watch what I ate.  I was able to leg press over 600 lbs with just one leg and I only knew that I was able to squat lift over 800 lbs without too much effort.

Then I hurt my back 3 separate times at work and after hundreds of thousands of dollars of specialists and tests and labs and over 500 hours of travel between doctors, I've been told there is nothing that any of them will do and that I just have to live the rest of my life in pain.

At this point in my life, I can no longer do more than 2 jumping jacks, or lift over 100 lbs, or sit in a chair for more than an hour, or walk up too many flights of stairs in one day.  If I do, the result is typically me being completely out of commission laying on my back, still, for a full week until the muscles in my back recover and stretch out.

I was always proud of my natural strength and athletic body and I don't know what I did to deserve this fate, but it is what it is.  All any of us with disabilities can do is try to live life to the fullest that we can.

Btw, that is an impressive typing speed.  I was only able to type 55 wpm with zero mistakes before my arthritis started flaring more frequently.

  12. But WHY?

It has some definite negative attritubes, sure. The reloads are painful, the spin-up is impossible to miss, and the spread makes me cry, but I'd forgive it all in an instant if it had something in exchange, like powerful rounds. So why doesn't it? What is the bloody point of having a machine gun that only takes the weaknesses of machine guns? And why retire said weapon, and thus throw all it's assets out the window, when you could make it usuable instead? No one's answering this question.

Seems evident to me.  DE is being greedy and feels that wasting the money coming in to convince everyone to spend platinum on something new that will probably be similar to the Gorgon, just not with the horrible damage ratiings.

  13. sounds interesting and remind me a bit to the old wow skill trees but i see a litle disadvantage in the encourage players to try new "trees". I belive a big part of players conzentrate on one part and ignore all others, but i like the idea

sound...dangerous, if i melee i often haven´t the time for a second attack, hit and run, if u get hittet ure dead

Well, the separation of the Rankings between categories of usable items is nothing new, but it is a tried and true system that I feel would work quite nicely in Warframe to spread out the content more in a natural fashion rather than putting something behind surprise paywalls or grind-required prerequisites.

Well, it would be the player's choice if they wanted to use the mod.  If you have a melee weapon that you want to rank up to 30 several times quickly, then having a multi-hit mod on there could come in quite handy.
