  1. Don't disagree they dropped the ball immensely on the handling of Dante, they rushed out a heavy handed panic adjustment before he ever got a chance to settle into the meta or provide any useful usage data beyond "Hes new and people are playing the new Warframe". That said, the "This frame was sold for money so changing it is false advertising" is a really really bad way to look at things. I'd like to see the patch reverted and them let him sit for a while before adjustments so that people actually know where he falls into the cast, he certainly wasn't outperforming meta staples. He was only "dominant" because he was the shiny new release.
  2. I don't disagree that it's a horrible mechanic that's never worked properly or consistently in the history of warframe, and should not have been applied to Dante at all. I'm just saying the financial argument is a bad one.
  3. This argument is an asinine one, balance patches should not be halted under the consideration of profitability ever. I think the nerfs, especially LoS changes, on Dante were unnecessary and heavy handed, but to act like you are entitled to a frame never receiving a balance change because you spent money on it is silly and ill-conceived.
  4. I personally like having to make non-ideal loadouts work at a higher level. I had to redo my Nyx set who I hadn't touched in years, for my run this week which I would never have even bothered with her otherwise, and it worked fine, I did well and while I had a couple small struggles it was nothing insurmountable. I don't think an endgame-oriented system asking that of players is unreasonable. My only real "complaint" Is i think they should trim some of the lower end weapons that have no upgraded variants (Prime, Kuva, Incarnon, etc.) from the pool, they simply just do not hold up well at that level.
  5. Changes are marginally better but still wildly inconsistent, LoS is not and never has been a fun mechanic to work around due to how tilesets are constructed and elevation, cover, and clutter are handled. Remove LoS check from Dante, it does nothing but make him feel inconsistent, especially against enemies behind the camera. He was not in a place of power that was anywhere out of line compared to other more dominant damaging frames.
  6. Line of sight in a game as heavily cluttered and mobile as warframe only ends up being messy and inconsistent every time its applied. Would be better to see it removed from tragedy entirely as it already hinges on other actions such as weapon priming or dark verse, and retool LoS as a mechanic from the ground up for the sake of other frames that currently suffer from its poor functionality.
  7. Dante didn't deserve to be cut down so severely when hes a more active caster than many others between managing his pageflight and wordwarden uptimes, tome buffs, building status stacks, and invoking a few casts per major ability which can be costly for your energy. Meanwhile other frames are doing more for less like mirage, saryn, octavia, sunder titania, or even new inaros sandstorm. Nevermind that these changes do nothing to even remotely address the biggest complaint of how his overguard interferes with teammates who want to take damage with their builds relying on rage/adrenaline or similar effects. In future consider letting things sit longer before panic nerfing something new that hasn't even had time to settle into the power scale and find its place within the meta.
