  1. As someone who also plays both a lot, let me tell you something:

Once you reach the endgame, you'll start to notice how little the weekly updates really mean. One weapon fix here, one new bug fix there. Oh and Iron Banner! Don't forget Iron Banner. Iron Banner is like the gouls here. A waste of time.

Every few months, an old seasonal event comes back and every three months, new season to grind with the same old mechanics.

    NO NEW CONTENT.

The problem, like someone already said, is Luke Smith. 90% of Bungie's time is spent in Destiny 3 and some other IP they are working on. The other 5% is wasted on refreshing the Eververse. And the other 5% is wasted on releasing a new battle pass every 3 months with unnecessary changes that make old players really mad.

The new change they are working on this year is removing some legendary weapons from the game and rotating which ones come back every few months. Because they have to mantain the "new content" illusion while working on Destiny 3. Could you imagine if Warframe did something similar?

Every single cool looking armor or emote is locked behind a paywall in the Eververse. Every single one. It's been years (Forsaken) since the in-game vendors (Shaxx and so on) were refreshed with new armor and weapons. Destiny monetisation isn't fair.

Is it a bad game? Hell no! But just don't get your hopes too high.

  2. What I don't understand is this: it's not like they just mentioned it and never brought it back.

They promised the New Player Experience at Tennocon, in front of thousands of people, they hired a film director, they spent money on and released a CGI cinematic that not only isn't in-game but doesn't have anything to do with the actual tutorial.

Same thing happened with New War. It wasn't just a Devstream. They gave a date (Christmas) in front of thousands of people, before changing to "well, the War has actually started and will last the entire year" two days later.

At this point they should have realized that one of their greatest problems is planification/deadlines and do something about it.

  3. I really, really like the design of the new End of mission screen and the new World State/Extractors Panel, the problem is of course the lack of info about the Rewards.

Both Item labels the number of items we get are a MUST. No matter if you are an experienced player or a new one.

Another problem is that, in order to see Stats, I have to navigate to the botton of the screen and click on them. I don't know for PC players, but for Console players is a pain in the a*s.

Why not go the Eidolon/Vallis End Mission results route? In those you can see the Syndicates, which are in a different tab, just with a simple click.

Other games do a similar thing with their menus, they have different Tabs which can be navigated with a simple click.

Same could be done with the End Mission screen here in order to save time, make them more intuitive and keep the current design.

And like someone already said, please let us navigate the screen while loading back to the Orbiter. Because right now, we can only move our Landing Craft in the background.

Didn't they say it was corpus in the devstream..

I'm going to say he's the bloke who keeps needing to replace the windows that keep breaking on the ships as we walk past them.... He's had enough and decided to deal with the problem himself and instead of improving the glass because it would cost too much, he's going to hunt the tenno himself.

He'll look like John Prodman (or whatever it is - index guy) but with some different colours imo and his weapon will be some sort of glass blowing pipe.

Plot twist: Season 3 is being delayed for so long because it will integrate with Corpus Kuva Liches. The Glass Maker will hunt us down and steal our rewards in retribution for all those years of hard work thrown out of the window (literally).

I wish we had more Operations/Alerts like Plague Star in general across the starchart. It's a great grind that's quite rewarding in my opinion.

Also, similar to Destiny, each planet could have its own vendor with its own rewards. Or at least an event vendor.

It would add a ton of replay value.

Firstly - the way *how* they announced said roadmap, their flippant attitude, easiness to mock competition, after that display coming off with "well ok we couldn't make it, after all" is just asking for people - especially fans of aforementioned competition to come with pitchforks.

Completely agree here. I feel like DE has shown a worrying level of cockiness last year. Especially mocking the competition. A lot of devstreams are treated like a joke, which is fine only if you also address real issues but problems, such as Liches or difficulty aren't properly addressed in this streams. I still have no idea what's going on with New Player Experience.

The last straw that broke the camel's back was last devstream in which they did a "Look at the list of how much content we released this year! Almost everything in the Roadmap!" without acknowledge the flaws or the delays.

Speaking of consoles, the game is empty on PS4 Asian servers.

I'm a console player and I'm part of different PS4 community groups on various games. It's really sad to see how the big Destiny, Path of Exile or Borderlands groups have 100 players (maximum number displayed) currently playing each game but the largest Warframe group (Warframe Casual Community) only averages 10 online players maximum at any time.

At least I can find other players in-game.

Nightwave initial release, February 2019: Peak of ~115,000 players. Noticeable increase in retention throughout the later months, not shown in current period

Speaking of which, what is going on with Nightwave? When are they planning to release Series 3? Cause not only are we have been stuck with an Intermission, but an Intermission with only about 20% new rewards.

I mean, Destiny has a 3 month season cycle. Path of Exile has a 3 month League cycle. Warframe has a whateverlet'sjustimprovise Nightwave cycle.

Yeah, they said this one is gonna take longer (months ago by the way), but these are the same guys who, after the end of Series 1, had a period of no-Nightwave, no-Intermission and no-Alerts because they don't have any kind of roadmap or planification.

  9. Haven't played it yet for obvious reasons, but taking into account that this is the *big* update of the year, partners are streaming all day on Twitch and DE used The Game Awards as a publicity booster, it's a little worrying that WF couldn't surpass Destiny's numbers or get to the 100,000+ people of both Eidolon and Fortuna on Steam.

This doesn't mean anything of course, but I don't understand why you go for the general audience boost and you don't release the update with the New Player experience that was promised for this year but wasn't even mentioned in the last Devstream.

  10. Seems like the safest bet, but then, why would Reb go to the Game Awards? To announce next Prime Access to a general audience that doesn't care? To announce Warframe 2 (actually that would make sense considering how buggy Empyrean was in the last Devstream after 2 years of development)?

I think we're getting an "Empyrean releases tonight!", PC-only of course.

  11. Nice idea.

My take: In some Fighting games, such as Injustice 2 or Mortal Kombat, the trick is that, while playing online, each character has the same stats despite the infinite number of builds available offline. But of course they play differently.

So, another solution, could be having each Warframe keep their powers, but have their powers deal the same amount of damage.

But, what about the mobility (which makes PvP difficult)? Well, you could do something like Gambit in Destiny. Each team has to summon a boss by defeating enemies and collecting motes they drop. If you dead, you lose motes, just like The Index. The first one who summons and defeats the boss, wins. And you can also invade the other team's arena to try to kill them and make them lose motes.

There are many options that could work.

Anyways, DE won't touch Conclave for a looooong time, so...

  12. I'm 90% sure that something happened with Empyrean/Railjack sometime before or after Tennocon, maybe there was a critical problem they couldn't fix or maybe they scrapped the thing altogether and started again because this was, what? The third devstream in which Empyrean is showed? In December. And now Scott says they will take the feedback into account and change stuff. In December.

So many months of silence about the update, and what they showed us not only was buggy but had like 3 planets. Things like AI crew, the Squad Link or the teleport won't be coming at launch.

One could asume that the Lich update was (and will be) unfinished due to them focusing on Empyrean, but now it seems that Empyrean will be unfinished as well.

One could asume that they were focusing on New War instead, but it seems that it will be delayed and/or split in different parts.

One could asume they were doing other stuff like the Corpus ship rework, Nightwave Series 3 or the New Player exper....oh wait.

DE has a history of not meeting deadlines, sure, but after one of the worst years of content drought, I wonder what happened.

It wasn't one Twitter response and the difference between conclave and liches is that concave is an equal playing ground that while does require an investment does not have any game changing things within the syndicate that players can get. It's strictly cosmetic.

    People grinded out conclave.

    It's a pvp node.

Name a game where you can unlock pvp exclusive items through means of pvp.

Please stop bringing up this uneducated argument

If you want the cosmetic items that we know you only really care about.......... Play conclave

First, I don't care about Conclave cosmetics, I was talking about the sentiment of the majority of the players at the Forums (just check out the discussions).

Second, name a game in which cosmetic stuff is literally the endgame and in which the pvp is almost completely abandoned both by the Devs and the community.

Third, thanks for indirectly calling me uneducated. But the argument, opinions aside, was used as an example of the devs changing their initial decision, ignoring most of the feedback and just focusing on what best suits their decision. Which is what happened with Liches.

Anyways, this is a Lich thread. The Conclave stuff was just an example and one which I particularly don't care, so let's focus on the topic itself.

  14. What happened to the Lich at Tennocon who had stolen powers and a stolen Volt helmet in his shoulder? The Lich who talked about us killing him "over and over" and still growing stronger? The immortal enemy?

That's a real Lich. That's the Lich that was promised to us. That's the Lich we want.

But, just like Conclave medallions, just because X and Y at the development team changed their minds, now the rest of the team decided to ignore the feedback and go along.

I'm so disappointed that Steve basically said "the feedback that I got was why is taking me 76 days to kill a Lich and why is the Lich beating me up so badly". No, that's the feedback that you choose not to ignore. Just like you ignored people wanting Universal Medallions applying to Conclave and focus on 1 Twitter response instead.

  15. What I don't understand is that they promised us and showed us real liches at Tennocon, enemies that with every death become stronger, and then they completely changed the idea for no reason at all.

Also, if this game wasn't convoluted and confusing enough, they added this Murmur system that will probably scare away 90% of the new players.

Probably the same thing that happened with the Universal Medallions not applying to Conclave: A group of Devs wanted it to be this way and, despite the feedback of the community, the whole team decided to go for it.

  16. Imagine how, we, console players feel.

I still don't know why they wouldn't release the new game introduction, raids, the Corpus rework or a prologue like Chimera to keep the players busy. The Nightwave schedule really shows how their planning is all over the place.
