  1. I've been playing this game for since March 2013 and even to this day there are still some major questions relation to game mechanics and lore that have yet to be answered.

     

    In no particular order: 

     

    1) Why don't the corpus, Grineer and the Orokin use anti -aircraft guns if our only way to enter a mission is in our liset? And if there is some kind of cloaking to radar, then why there aren’t manned guns waiting for our ships to land or exit. 

     

    2) Where does the endless supply of Corpus Crewmen come from if they aren't clones? 

     

    3) Why is Eris still a planet, why hasn't the lotus or one of the factions blown it up already? It is of zero value to anyone. 

     

    4) Where are the civilians? The corpus, Grineer and the Infested could not have seriously killed every single civilian in the entire solar system! And if they did, WTF are we fighting to protect, we've already lost. 

     

    5)  Why do the Syndicates dislike each other if they all want exactly the same thing? The Tenno's help, the destruction of the Corpus and Grineer. 

     

    6) Why are there designated Tenno extraction zones, in our enemies ships and outposts. 

     

    7)

    Why hasn't our operator gone AWOL. He/She has been asleep for a long time, they couldn't possibly want to spend the rest of their lives alone, sitting in a dark room. I thought 15 year olds liked having a social life.

     

     

    8) WTF is in the Cryopod, a Warframe, operator, civilian? Plus, wouldn't the enemy factions want to capture its contents instead of destroying it to use it to their advantage? Why hasn’t the lotus told us?

     

    9) Why can’t we get a new cephalon for our ship? And why can’t the Simarius or The Cephalon Suda repair Ordis? 

     

    10) Not calling the race card or anything but, Why does everyone have an American/Canadian accent and Why is everyone white? Was it a lack of voice actors or was America/Canada the sole reason for the solar system going to @#$%.

  2. +1, really like this idea. 

     

    Some aspect of the post are a bit complex to understand. (The Melee input modifications part) but overall its very good. Melee attacks having AOE would be a game changer and with the mobility changes you suggested i think it would be perfect. 

     

    However, I think you should remove the following sections because they are not strictly necessary or they would be hard to implement.

    -Aerial melee changes (with parkour 2.0 we don't really need this) 

     

    All in all, would support these changes if seen in game. Good Work. 

  3. Try the following

     

    1) Click the cog on the warframe launcher> unslect DX11 and DX10 > See if problem is fixed.

     

    2) Open steam library> Right click warframe> Select properties> Select Launch options> Paste this -no3dex -nojoy -processheap -high -threads 4 > click Ok> See if problem is fixed.

     

    3) Open Task Manager> Close any unnecessary programs ie Spotify, McAfee> See if problem is fixed.

    2) Compare that to the 100+ Limbo threads and I dont see your point. Equinox lacks in many departments and needs changes, that's what this thread is about. Get over the title. 

  5. I'd say that Limbo is more neglected.

    He is mentioned on the forums and in game regularly whilst equinox is not but still isnt up to par with others.  

     

    I use Equinox on exterminates and invasions a fair amount so I don't agree with thread tbh.

     

    Equinox is getting augments soon that are health and shield regen related so I wouldn't get worried there.

    1. You can't make megathreads. Take it outta your title m8.

     

    2. "Grind" for equinox is not a problem. There are no issues. The only reason people would complain are if they have very very bad luck personally- or are just lazy.

     

    3. Yes- everything about equinox is a problem. Pacify is balanced, provoke needs a self buff. Rest is OP- but the function is unique and good, and needs to be retained when it is nerfed. Rage is pretty much pointless, it needs to work differently. Mend is nearly worthless, rather than healing all at once when you "uncast" it should slowly drain your built up damage counter over time, healing over time as well. Maim is extremely powerful, but is only OP because of the stunlock it does. The stagger from the slash procs should stay but should only last ~1/2 a second. At the moment it lasts a whole 3 seconds- that is ridiculous. When using metamorphosis- mend/maim need to stay on, and just swap forms with equinox- saving your damage that you've obtained so far. Metamorphosis could also keep pacify/provoke toggled on in the same way, but that is much less necessary than mend/maim.

     

    Changed the title. Calling someone lazy after doing 50 runs of Tyl regor over 3 days is obnoxious. Rng needs to be changed. 

     

    you're off to a bad start when you declare something is neglected, and the most neglected.

    making false tinfoil hat statements as your opener is not a good setup to prove that the words you're saying are relevant.

     

     

    buffs when switching halves decaying makes sense - but decaying to 0% is what's awful. if it decayed to 50%, it would be a non-issue.

     

    Abilities are discarded when you switch modes because Equinox has Modes but you're not intended to be flipping everything back and forth constantly. Abilities discarding when you switch gives you a reason to use a Mode for a while rather than swapping constantly.

     

    Casting Speed is debatable and situational, makes it hard to take an objective stance.

     

    you.... know that Slash Status Ignores Armor, right? and that Slash Status bases the Damage it calculates off of based on the paper Slash Damage something deals?

     

    Rage doesn't (and doesn't need to) affect Maim because it's already extremely easy to build up a huge amount of Damage in very little time.

    you can already nuke Enemies nearby you quite well, there isn't much reason to be able to get more.

    inb4 "oh but if i try to Kill an Enemy that's 25m away from me, Maim does terrible Damage!". there's Damage falloff. get closer. that's the point.

    oh, and doomsday comments related to Randomization are patently untrue unless the situation is to an extreme, which Equinox isn't.

     

    Hydriod buff is on the works. Try and find many Equinox threads made in the past 3 months.  While not extreme for you,it has been for many others. 

  6. Equinox is without a doubt a very neglected Warframe. Whether that is due to the impossibility of her grind, her seemingly good abilities that fall short or her complexity is another issue. After her release the slipped under the radar and is rarely mentioned on the forums or used in game for anything other than maim on draco. With all the talks about Warframe buffs, you would expect to see Equinox on the roster but she remains unmentioned, while volt a well balanced frame, continues to the centre of debate.

    For those who don’t know here are the main issue with Equinox.

    1) Her grind/drop rate.

    Equinox drops from the Uranus boss, Tyl Regor and requires 8 parts and 6 days of building to craft. Many players including myself are having issue getting parts, even after doing 50 plus missions. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. While DE maintains the need to make money, content that wastes player time and causes they do not enjoy the game is more detrimental to Warframe than anything else. Out of spite, players refuse to buy plat or just leave the game. In addition, why would players talk about a Warframe they don't own.



    2) Her limitations.

    DE decided to place a number of limitations on Equinox in order to balance a frame that could easily be OP (she has 8 powers after all). However, they went to far and gimped Equinox turning her from a Jack of all trades to a jack of one trade.



    These limitations include:


    -- Decaying buffs after Metamorphosis switch.
    -- Small range on pacify and provoke (debatable)
    -- Damage/Healing built by Mend and Maim is discarded when forms are switched,
    -- Mend buff takes to long to administer. Allies may be dead before you can release the buff.
    -- Slash from Maim does not scale into endgame without corrosive projection.
    -- Rage does not affect damage released by Maim.



    What needs to be done:
    1) Buffs. Not large ones, small thing to increase the viability of the frame in end game. The bolds ones are a necessity. Changes courtesy of tnccs215, on 24 Nov 2015 - 8:02 PM.


    Stat changes
    --increase Day Aspect base movement speed from 1.0 to 1.15
    --increase Night Aspect armour from 100 to either 200 or 300

    Ability changes
    metamorphosis changes (these are QOL changes mostly)
    --remove mitigation over time
    --increase Day Aspect bonus movement speed from 0.15 to 0.20
    --increase Night Aspect bonus armour from 250 to 350

    Rest&Rage changes
    --power no longer uncasts after changing Aspect
    --Rage is recastable on the same enemy up to 2/3 times
    --Rage applies a forced, short impact proc on affected enemies
    --Ability Radius increased to 7.5 meters (debatable)

    Pacify&Provoke
    --damage reduction no longer falls of with distance!!!!
    --range increased from 16meters to 20meters
    --damage reduction improved from 50% to 60%
    --increase power strength bonus from 20% to 30%
    --ability no longer deactivates after metamorphosis

    Mend&Maim
    --Mend applies an instant heal to all friendlies (and self) in upon activation. This heal is an “inverse bleed effect”, being an initial 150 heal (affected by power strength), followed by 6 ticks over 7 seconds that heal 35% of the initial heal value. (Values and duration debatable)
    --overhealing results in overshields (debatable)
    --Mend applies a forced blast proc on all enemies that enter aura
    --Mend nukeheal applies to all friendly Tenno, but at 50% strength if they are outside the aura
    --When changing aspects, the ability no longer deactivates. Instead, it changes to the mirror ability (if Day to Night, Maim becomes Mend, and vice-Versa), and 75% of the stored Hp are kept (25% loss)
    --Maim damage is uncapped but is acquired at a slightly slower rate.




    2) DE NEED TO ADDRESS THE RNG TO GET EQUINOX. It is embarrassing that DE finds it acceptable to have players wasting hours upon hours to acquire equipment. Whether he drops 2 blueprints pre run or they can be found in crates, DE must make chnages to this and all system like this if they wish to prolong the life of Warframe.

  7. Since U18 my game has been bugging out. When i extract from a mission, my warframe will get into the liset and fly off while the results screen comes up. After 2 or so seconds, my warframe falls from the list and lands on the tile set i've just extracted from. I can't move, attack or use abilities or open the menu with esc. It stays like this until i exit the game. It keeps happening at the end of missions in the Second Dream quest and I've had to redo each mission so far and its extremely annoying. 

     

    Anyone got any fixes if not, when will DE patch this out?

  8. Going to great lengths to keep an update a surprise, and hyping it up, only to fumble and reveal how unprepared you are is not good practice. 

    Thankfully this community is forgiving, but DE did drop the ball on this one, and they need to rethink their release strategy so they can keep their promise that "This won't happen again." (The promise they made last update.)

     

    DE have been working on this update for months, when it came time for release, things went wrong. They are currently trying to fix those issue so that they don't release a broken update. You obviously enjoy the great stuff DE puts out on a weekly basis, but as soon as there are problems for a Major update, you start acting like DE are an irresponsible dev team.

     

    That's equivalent to blaming a mother for having complications during child birth. DE did not know this was going to happen but i expect that they pushed the release back to december 2 in the event that problems occurred but obviously, more stuff went wrong. 

     

    People need to understand that instead of releasing status updates, there actually doing there job and developing the game. 

  9. A civil war could work from a PVE game play perspective.

     

    1) Each player would have to pick a side, ie; Loti Republic or The Tenno Sovereignty (see what i did there).

     

    2) They would do co-op missions like normal but would receive -10% credit penalties if they played with members of the opposite faction and 15% XP bonuses if they worked with members of their own faction team.  

     

    3) Each faction need to contribute a certain amount of resources per week for the war effort. If the total is reached, all players would in that faction would be given rewards such as XP boosters, health restores, spectres, ammo restores, ect.  If the faction does not reach its total by the end of the week they will get nothing. 

     

    4) There would be there massive event style alerts, with different missions depending on your faction ie, sabotage Loti Republic transport fleet vs repair Loti Republic transport fleet, or something like that. After an allocated timeframe all members of the winning faction would get a massive reward and the losers would get a much smaller one. There would be no switching factions.

     

    This would go on for months.

  10. And no one says anything about normal volts 15 amour compared to Excals 225. I know he isn't a melee frame but a difference of 210 is kinda ridiculous. The minimum amour for all frames should be 100. 

     

    PLus nuke abilities just don't cut it anymore when there are so many. Avalanche that has more CC, Tentacle swarm with more damage, Reckoning with more spam-ability, Rhino stop for CC the list goes on. These abilities are not exciting nor engaging to use. As a starter frame he needs something interesting.

    What the hell? Luck charms? are you seriously kidding me? this is warframe not any magical game....

     

    Lets say neurodes, why use guns and blades and shred enemy apart to get rare resources? I would accept idea of making them passaway and obtain resources from them....

     

    Its just a name so people can easily understand the concept. Also, Limbo is magical :)

     

    If we got every single item in game, what then? RNG and farming keeps this game alive IMO. :P

     There are people who already have everything in the game but still play. The exciting, fast paced, explosive gameplay is what keeps the game alive and DE should focus more on things like, expanding pvp, archwing, more game modes, quests and NPCs to interact with. Not more mods to add to the pile. 

  12. RNG has plagued this game for many months, years even. As DE add plethora of new content into crowded drop tables, problems arise. While some players accumulate masses of neurodes within a few runs, others have failed to find more than 15 during the 3 years this game has been active. 

     

    RNG, is the biggest killer in Warframe, not the Grinner or Corpus. It divides the community, creates a hostile environment for the developers and undermines any major changes they make that positively affect the game, ie year of quality is for naught if RNG still exists. 

     

    TL;DR 

    RNG sucks.

     

    However, completely reworking drop rates for every single item in the game (and there are more than 1000), DE should take a simpler approach. Luck Charms

     

    How they should work:

     

    1 Luck charm should increase the drop rate of uncommon and rare items by 1.5%. Simple.

     

    Luck charms can be equipped on weapons, Warframes, companions and syandanas. They should stack with no maximum limit, allowing for a 300%+ increase. 

     

    Here is an example:

     

    If a rare item has a 10% chance to drop, players will have a 90% of not getting that item. With 200 luck charms (300%) they now have 30% chance to get that rare item. 

     

    How to balance them:

     

    Luck charms expire every 20 days. 

    They cannot be sold, bought or traded. 

    They have a drop rate similar to plastids and should drop in packs of 2 or 3.

    They should drop form ALL planets, from crates and enemies.

    Luck Charms won’t increase the drop chance of luck charms, however resource boosters will.  

     

     

    I knows there may be some issues with the item but what do you guys think of the idea as a whole?

  13. Try and look at it from a melee players perspective.

     

    450 amour is great for melee.

    His 1 is a great ability to combo with and put a lot of damage on a single target.

    His 2 blocks incoming damage, giving him cover if he is overwhelmed by ranged weapon fire.

    His 3 is a great beduff, allowing him to take on large number of dangerous enemies at once.

    HIs 4 draws agro, thus making it easier for Atlas to close in on target without getting shredded.

    HIs passive is ridiculously powerful also.

     

    Sounds like a brawler to me. 

  14. Many, including myself have failed to be convinced by the Wukong showcase video and the devstream. As Tactical Potato said: Soul punch style ability? smoke screen ability? exalted stick ability? ...

     

    So after some searching here is all we know about Wukong thus far:

     

    Name: Wukong

    Sprint Speed: 1.00

    Health- 300 (At Rank 30)

    Shields- 125 (At Rank 30)

    Conclave-50

     

     

    Abilities

    Iron Jab-Wukong Thrusts his melee at the enemy, summoning energy and knocking them down.

    Damage:  800

     

    Defy (Im not 100% sure but I think)- When activated, Wukong slowly restores up to 50% of his health and increases his melee combo counter by 50%.

    Energy Multiplier: 50%

    Restoration: 50%

     

    Cloud Walker- Wukong summersaults onto a cloud, floating across the battlefield. Landing on or close to an enemy will leave them open to a finisher.

    Energy Drain Per meter: 2.5

     

    Primal Fury- Sun Wukong draws a staff/cudgel and wields it as his melee weapon. Normal attacks inflict 250 base damage at max rank and will increase melee range by 20 meters.

  15. So, I hate boring weapons like the Boltor Prime and Soma Prime but I need a weapon that can take me to end game. Lately I’ve been seeing more messages in the recruiting tab like: 50 Min T4 Survival.  

     

    So after searching for the perfect killing machine I have narrowed it down to 2 weapons which are not overly used but are still consider high tier. The Attica and the Hek.

    I know what builds I would use for both weapons but what I want to know is whether the weapons would cut it at higher levels.

     

    Attica Build: I just built this weapon and I know that I can withstand the fire rate/travel time of the bolts. However, a 50% crit chance is less than desirable and when the weapon doesn’t crit, it will only deal 2,000 damage.

    Cons: If the weapon crits it will deal a lot of damage but it won’t crit 100% of the time. Slow fire rate may be an issue at high levels. 2.8 second reload.

    Hek Build: I don’t have this weapon yet and I’m kind of holding out for the shotgun buff but this build is focused on raw damage. The 4 shot magazine plus 2.2 second reload makes the weapon feel too slow for me so I’ve added tactical pump to reduce the reload to 1.6.

    Cons: Damage fall off means the damage on paper will be less in game. 4 shot magazine is very small and troublesome in crowds.

    1) Which is build or weapon would be better at higher levels?

    2) Are there any wepoans simliar to shese that i have overlooked that may be better than the Attica/Hek?
