  1. The shared forced extraction is really awful. I'm really sick and tired of groups that time the extraction JUST right so we end up being forced out at 18-19 minutes, so close to the one single item in the entire reward pool that cannot be obtained in any other way in the entire game. Host migrations are awful and buggy, but at least with them I have a tiny, tiny chance nothing will bug out and I'll be allowed a chance at the low low drop rate of one piece of this new weapon. As things are as soon as one person decides they're heading out after 15 minutes I'm pretty much guaranteed that the entire mission was a complete waste of time.

(those complaining about people extracting after 5min - hey, at least you wasted less time)

It would be cool if the room with the oxygen stations had gates to prevent you from going further until all the oxygen stations have been used.  This would force people to group up and work together just a tiny bit more.

I don't disagree with you about the problem but this is an absolutely terrible idea. And it definitely don't force people to group up, it'll make people chain-spam all the life stations in a row to get the doors open. And potentially screw over the entire group if you later on end up needing a life support or two.

I’ve actually gotten Stug riven before. Honestly wish I’d kept it just for the novelty.

I've gotten 2 so far XD

Both got transmuted, but I don't remember if in either case I got something good out of the transmutation (or even if one of them was the result of a transmutation.... how'd THAT be for disappointment!)

There should be a section called "Drops" if you click your profile picture in the top right, which is what I assume the "Twitch icon" means. A progress bar along with a thumbnail of the item should appear underneath the Drops section without you needing to visit your inventory, at least during the stream itself. It also shows up in chat provided you opened the stream while it was active; otherwise you needed to refresh the page. But the other progress bar should have been visible the whole time.

Thank you for the info. I looked more carefully during the Wednesday stream. When I opened that menu right after the stream started the progress bar wasn't there (no "drops" section at all). When I checked a couple of minutes the bar was there and already filled by a few %, so it just seems like it takes a short time before the bar initializes, hence why I missed it the first time.

As on Tuesday, and like many have reported, it also looks like you need to log into the game then wait a variable amount of time before you get the drop in the mail, but as long as Twitch has acknowledged the claim it does seem to work consistently.

    Anyway thanks again @FilibusterCrabz!

  4. Colour me absolutely shocked, this actually worked for me.

A lot of things in the description still don't make sense to me, like the "Twitch icon in the top right" that we're supposed to be able to click to see our progress. What Twitch icon? If it's your profile icon that lets you access settings, log out, etc, I didn't see any progress. Best way I found to track it was to access the inventory from the message that pops up when the stream starts, telling you what the drop will be (open the inventory in a separate tab of course), then hit F5 on inventory once in a while to check progress. I claimed it as soon as it became available while the stream was still running (I do wonder if it's even possible to claim later, or claim and let it sit in inventory for longer than a day, or any other valid questions along this line). I only loaded into the game 4 hours later, at which point I had to wait a few minutes and recheck my mailbox before the drop appeared there (I wonder if the "5-10 minutes before it appears" requires the game to be running).

Much as I like the addition of the inventory and being able to actually KNOW if the drops are working or not (a few have, for absolutely no discernible reason, not worked for me in the past), it does seem much clunkier than the old system with one small change: a simple progress bar that fills up towards 30min. Mixer was an absolutely awful platform, but they had that years ago and I can't fathom why Twitch can't seem to find a simple and elegant solution to drops, never mind copy an existing one.

Anyway it does look like this time this is a Twitch problem and not a DE problem. Kudos to Megan for the detailed OP.

So what do we do in the intermission? I started Warframe more than halfway through the nightwave and now that it's gone I have no way of getting Nitain to make my first prime warframe. What am I supposed to do now? Wait for the next season? Try farming Orokin Caches for a 2% chance it drops if I find all 3 caches? Why is it not for monetary sale in the market? Why is there NO way to get it assuredly without nightwave? Players like myself are just out of luck? Feels very restrictive considering it's a F2P with an insane amount of microtransactions. Why limit your players and even your profits off of Nitain being in the market or something more easily reachable?

Going by the last couple of times, it took a week or less between the end of one Nightwave and the beginning of the next, and one of the first ranks (reachable after a couple of acts in the first weeks) gave a lot of creds. If they stick to this (and they should IMO) you'll be able to get a ton of Nitain anytime between later this week and Monday at the very latest. I don't necessarily disagree with you that even this short gap doesn't really have a reason for existing, but back when you could only get Nitain from Alerts there were strings of days where you could not get it too.

I have to reply with a no don't bring buck season 1 And 2 stuff. some of us actually were doing it and it should stay like Excalibur prime.

unique items for those who took part in it. There wil be something for those who was not part of our history but keep ours sacred

As someone who has been doing Nightwave since the beginning and getting everything as it first appeared I'm going to say absolutely not to unique exclusivity. I like this game because nothing is sacred. Imagine Primes never getting unvaulted past their first appearance, event weapons never returning (hell even Lavos would be gone forever if you missed out on the event). That's just not how the game works. I actually don't like that the Founder items like Excal Prime never returned, but this is the one time I can understand both DE and Founders wanting them to stay unique, considering what they represented. But they are the ONLY items I'm willing to make an exception for.

(Note that this is an endorsement for a system to allow items to return, not for each and every system that has been used to do this. I'm ok with unvaultings for example, and with Ceti Lacera returning in Orophix Venom, but think the way Lavos/Cedo return was handled was terrible)

  6. People keep saying this was predictable or to be expected or "you should have known", which is blatantly wrong. The only logical prediction based on YEARS of precedence was that event items would not be available from non-event sources for AT LEAST 6 months (blatant example: the Ceti Lacera). Many times the non-event sources are a much worse grind than the event (best example: Spectra Vandal. I got enough anomaly shards to buy everything you can buy with them, and then some. I went into every single orokin ship and opened every single container. I've not seen a single Spectra part drop and don't know anyone who has. I'm so very glad I got the weapon from the event).

There are a ton of strawmen in this thread. Nobody is angry because the items will be available from shop. I don't think anyone is even angry that they're available so quickly afterwards (I'm certainly not; I don't care exclusivity or having a speshul item before others or whatever. In fact one of the things I like about Warframe and DE is that, aside from Founder items, NOTHING in the game becomes Gone Forever; I've quit several games in the past that did exclusive non-cosmetic rewards). What people are angry about, and have every right to be, is the specific combination of how DE did things: they made it immediately available after event for a much easier grind AND didn't announce this until the end of the event AND phasic cells could've been better put to use by getting the arcanes considering what the alternative grinds for Lavos/Cedo on one hand and the arcanes on the other hand entail. None of the individual statements are that bad on their own, them all being linked by the ANDs is the problem. It doesn't help that the event (as usual) was a messy bugest as usual. And of course us PC players are as usual unpaid beta testers for the console version, and on top of it console players are told BEFORE the event even starts where things will be available and can plan accordingly (I always laugh when console players complain that they get things after us on PC; I always wait for months before trying new non-event content because of how unplayable it is at launch)

  7. I've done a few runs so far and will offer some feedback. I'll address the points in the OP first, then add additional comments if I feel the need.

How easy was it to understand the new Operation and what you have to do to succeed?
Pretty easy. Between what Father says in Necralisk and the prompts during the mission I never felt I have no idea what's going or I don't know what to do next. I'm not clear on what exactly makes the sentient control % go up (is that time Orphix is up, how many are up, or how many sentients are up in general?) but it's not too important since it's pretty clear that we should deal with the Orphix ASAP. Markers for where the tethers spawn are helpful, the visual feedback on the Orphix opening up is good too. The one thing that's not clear is the vulnerable point. It seems like it's clear, but my shots often deal 0 damage even when they look like they're hitting exactly in the middle of the bright weak point.

How was using a Necramech in a “normal” tileset?
A little awkward but better than I expected. Some of it may be just getting used to controlling it in much smaller environments than the open worlds. I found Slide to be the most difficult to control properly over longer distances. Otherwise seems to work well.

Did you have any difficulty finding or using a deactivated Necramech?
I had my own so I didn't try. Can't comment.

How did you find the pacing of the Operation missions and rewards?
Pacing of the mission itself is very uneven. The problem is that the missions alternate frantic kill Orphix ASAP, sitting there doing nothing, and running back and forth. The first is fun, the others are not. The backtracking can be particularly bad when you get ping-ponged back and forth because the Orphixes like to spawn at opposite ends of the map, or if you get out of your mech, get killed in Operator and end up in your Warframe that you left all the way back 1 km away. The backtracking also turns mission success, especially at higher rounds, into mostly luck. If you're lucky and the Orphix keeps spawning on top of you, you'll stay on top and easily keep sentient control low. If you have to run back and forth, sooner or later you'll lose just because you're spending too much time trying to reach the spawns. Dealing with the Orphix itself has good pacing. I find prioritizing killing the tethers and the Orphix and only killing enemies that are directly in my way pretty efficient.
The speed/pace at which you get rewarded seems fine. The rewards themselves I'm not sure about. I keep getting relics, and of course never the ones that I actually want (I'm sitting on a stash of useless Neo E2 but of course not a single Neo N13). Phasic cell rewards are too low. I calculated just over 16k to get all the new stuff, at which point I'll probably be burned out on the event and not bother with the arcanes. Having a chance at items seems nice, but the 2% drop rates are ridiculous; that said, item rewards every 3 rounds do happen reasonably often, at least early on.

What was it like fighting the new Sentient enemies?
The problem with Sentients is that almost all of them have high armour, no shields, and they're all immune to status, so they end up feeling pretty much the same. The Brachyolist is the only one that stands out to me because of the Shields and the way it moves. The new ones look cool (some very cool), but since they all die when the Orphix does there's no point engaging with them, especially since the high armour and status immunity makes them such bullet sponges. I really think they need a status treatment similar to what bosses and liches got.

Were you able to reach 36 Orphix Solo or in a Squad?
Not even close, though every time we started losing was because of excessive running back and forth as mentioned above.

Any other thoughts on gameplay, difficulty, visuals, or in-game guidance?
Companions are a big problem, especially sentinels. I can understand pets being vulnerable when you leave your warframe, since they still follow your mech or operator and still do stuff, but the sentinels become absolutely useless (Animal Instinct doesn't even work) yet they're still vulnerable and die while you're in a bubble that you specifically cannot being them into with you. Either they should latch onto YOU and not just the warframe, or they need to be made invulnerable when out of the warframe. The couple of times I made the mistake of bringing Helios he died for good before we reached the 2min mark, and that's with Primed Regen (so 4 deaths and a 10s invulnerability in-between, all in less than 2min).
On a related note, forcing Operator scan was a terrible idea. Helios won't work obviously, you can't scan while in the mech, so while my team is trying to kill the Orphix and keep us from losing I'm out in Operator scanning things that I have a very narrow window to scan since the tethers die so quickly and everything else dies with the Orphix. It's counterproductive and goes against a team effort. Having the sentinels stay with you (the mech and/or operator) would solve this issue too (for this and future missions like this)
Another thing regarding the Orphix weak point. Many of the Orphixes spawn so high above ground they can't be reached with melee. This puts Bonewidow at even more of a disadvantage than the poor thing already has, since Ironbride (which is otherwise quite good at dealing with the Orphix, at least at lower levels) becomes completely useless.
Lack of healing on Necramechs was annoying before, but there you could just wait out the cooldown and do things in your warframe. In an event where you can practically ONLY use the mech, getting it killed means you're on timeout and pretty much useless while the cooldown comes back. Lack of any healing outside of Meathook under such mechanics is very, very bad.

Unfortunately, it looks like it doesn't at all, at least for now.

I went to Necralisk for the first time since update. I could matchmake for all 3 tiers of Iso Vaults (even though we're supposed to have to (re)do T1 to get T2, and T2 to get T3. No biggie I thought, I'll just try out a T1 and see if that unlocks the T1 Arcana. Went in, it put me in a rando group doing the bait, I got suspicious when I noticed enemies were taking more beating than they should at T1, Then we get into the vault and we have 3 Necramechs. Yes, clearly put in the wrong bounty. I'm only doing this for testing so I don't care, I keep going with them. We kill them all, complete the Loid bonus, and they all head to extract. I follow them, since I didn't want to do T3 stuff anyway. Back in Necralisk at Mother, I see she is offering T1 Iso and T2 Iso. No T3 Arcana (which should've unlocked when I completed the T3 Iso), and more importantly, T3 Iso is now just gone from her list.

So we have a bug putting me in the wrong tier, and wonky behaviour with which bounties are available from Necralisk. Unless having none of the Arcana and only one shot at each of the Iso per cycle is by design, but I genuinely hope the system isn't that stupid (not to mention the current behaviour completely contradicts the patch notes)

Although the description in the patch notes made it sound some of the changes were to allow us to target specific rewards, right now it's very unclear where rewards are. The Drop Table is weird, as it references stages that don't exist or that may or may not exist, when the stage progression for all the Arcana bounties is pretty straightforward and unchanging. I guess in theory you should be able to check the rewards at Mother in Necralisk, and if the Iso and Arcana bounties have the same rewards within a bounty cycle, which I certainly hope they do, then you're technically fine. I'm guessing the "Rotation" in the Drop Table refers to the 3-hour bounty cycle; honestly I think that's a terrible idea. If I see the reward I need isn't up I'm not going to wait 6 hours for the right bounty to come up, I'm going to exit the game and go do something else.

Went back in for more testing.

Picked the T1 Iso in Necralisk again. This time it put me in the right group, doing a T1. After finishing the vault, and the Loid bonus, we started an Arcana T1. After going back to Necralisk, I can see Mother offering T2 and T3 Iso, but no T1. So it seems that whichever is the last one you did is simply gone. Fortunately there's an easy fix: going to Orbiter and back to Necralisk brings all 3 back.

I'm sorry to say that the new system isn't much of an improvement, and may actually be worse in some ways. Token rewards have been massively nerfed, I was getting 2 per bounty stage, a good 5 or 6 times less than before. The spread of the items over different cycles may go against diluting the drop tables, but it spreads what we want all over the place; not to mention that it DOES act as a nerf to drop rates in some ways. I never farmed all 3 weapon parts for my Morgha and Cortege; I simply farmed 6 parts total (at 15% drop rate per cycle of bounties) then traded for what I was missing. Now you'd need to farm each part at a 5% drop each, and God help you if you have to wait for the right cycle to get the part you need and give up and end up doing whichever is currently up so you can trade it anyway. Not quite worse since you could also try and get them from the Arcana now, but the tradeoff ends up feeling more like a horizontal exchange than any real improvement. I'm glad I got all the weapons before the patch.

Otherwise some of the usual bugs are still there (killing things too quickly during fissure sealing bugs it out), we had a weird one during the bait gathering (things simply stopped spawning), and I discovered that picking up Rare mods while in Necramech does not count towards the Nightwave act.

I am pretty sure Mirage has never been unvaulted before actually, I think you are remembering wrong.

That's only because she got vaulted last year. She's been available for 2 years out of 3, the entire time she's ever existed.

Meanwhile Mag was available for a couple of months during these same 3 years, and that was 2 years ago already.

The grouping of frames as a theme can be fun, but it can be frustrating to watch multiple frames come and go. Mag and Banshee hold the current record for longest unavailability, while other frames that were gone for MUCH shorter times came and went (Oberon a year ago, now Mirage).

At least we're getting Banshee now, and hopefully Mag will be next.

  12. The changes to Bonewidow all look good. I tested a few of the melee mods, and at least in the Arsenal equipping them does change the stats on Ironbride. It does really reemphasize why Furor even exists, considering how little attack speed it brings to Archmelee, especially since we can now get MUCH more speed to Ironbride by using Necramech Fury.

One rather important bug that I don't see mentioned in the fixes: does Ironbride still drain 25 energy per swing, or was this fixed too?

One bug that I can confirm still exists: switching Necramechs in Arsenal will keep the old one's exalted weapon (eg: switching from Voidrig to Bonewidow, I now see a Bonewidow with an Arquebex) until you click somewhere else (like "Upgrade" on something, or on one of the other Arsenal tabs and back), at which point it'll update to the proper exalted. This is not just cosmetic: trying to "Upgrade" the exalted weapon on the wrong mech (easy to accidentally do if you don't notice the bug) will wipe your mod config on this weapon, and force you to reapply all your mods, after having to go through all the clicking to get the right necramech/weapon combo back.

  13. I found this elsewhere on the forums:

I can confirm that Feverspine and Nodulite both drop from the races indicated in this post, I assume the other 2 are also correct. Try it out and see if this gets you your missing part. I can definitely confirm you don't need to do all the races, there are 2 I never touched and still have all 4 parts.

The biggest problem for me is getting enough Ocular Stem-Root. I've had absolutely rotten luck getting Flagellocanth to spawn (wasted 5 baits so far) and I don't know how much I want to spend plat on them. Their spawn rate is absolutely ridiculous from what I've seen, and it doesn't help that Thursday's update seems to have badly broken fishing hotspots for me (most simply don't spawn any fish, bait or no bait).

  14. Fishing seems to randomly break in the Cambion Drift now, at least on the surface (haven't tried caverns). If I just stand near a random patch of exocrine, 3 or 4 fish will spawn, and if I fish them all out they'll be quickly replaced and I can keep doing this forever. But every single time I find a hotspot, once I fish whatever is already spawned, they don't get replaced. Using bait doesn't do anything, no fish spawned every time I tried, wasted 5 Processed Fass Residue this way. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

??? You can't run a script to replace at least 1 of the blueprints for each part with a legitimate version?  I didn't even earn any yet but telling people "suck it up and grind some more" sounds so cruel, lazy, and bad, tbh. Geez.

Yeah, this one puzzled me as well. The races that I did yesterday didn't take long but come on. Fixing the items themselves and keeping their unique identifiers, or running a script to convert the old ones to the new good ones, neither solution is very hard.

The Steel Essence bonus from completed planets is nice, I look forward to getting on and cashing that. Might actually be able to get that Umbra Forma after all.

That said the state of the game on major release day has really become a so much of a problem that you need to take a long HARD look at your release pipeline. Unfinished and buggy is one thing, most games have been pretty bad about this for decades now (I remember Scorpia in the golden days of CGW complaining about customers becoming paying testers, and that was back in the early 90s), and Warframe has always been pretty bad at this with some systems being an unplayable mess for months (Railjack, Liches, and don't get me started on Exploiter). But this patch is a whole other level. Rewards on the one new set of bounties not working properly? fine, maybe there weren't enough testers to get a true feel for what was dropping and should and shouldn't be dropping. But the K-Drive bits? there's no RNG, there's no statistical sampling. ONE tester runs ONE race and gets the first blueprint, extracts and sees blueprint on reward screen, checks Foundry and it's not there. Takes 5 minutes tops. I know that "DE don't play their own game" has been a meme for some time now, but come on.

I used to be happy at fixes, at refunded resources for things like Helminth and now Steel Essences, but I genuinely worry that this is not healthy for either devs or players. I still think Warframe is a wonderful game despite many, many decisions (more and more, worryingly) that I think are poor, but some bugs are simply not acceptable outside of a test server regardless of how much I like the game or the devs.

  16. Source is in the original Deimos Arcana post at

If you scroll down to the relevant sections (seach "sporothrix" and you'll find it easily) here's what it says:

*Acquire the Blueprint and Components for the Sporothrix from the new Isolation Vault Bounties.

*Acquire the Blueprint and Components for the Arum Spinosa from the new Isolation Vault Bounties

I haven't done the new bounties yet to confirm, but I hope this helps.

I don't know if they did some weird programming specifically for the Basmu, but from my experience being active in chat has zero effect on whether Twitch decides to give you a drop or not. Since I started having intermittent problems with drops a couple of months ago, one of the first things I started doing was always write something in chat to see if the bot registers my presence. Two weeks ago it didn't give me drops on 2 days, even though I had typed in chat both times.

I'm really not sure what makes it not work when it happens anymore. I'm not too sad about today's, but I always worry it'll happen to me again when something I really want is offered.

So, small update now that I did miss something I wanted (the Forma last Friday). Here's what my success/failure looks like for the past 2 weeks:

    Monday 5: drop worked

    Tuesday 6: no drop

    Wednesday 7: 2 drops (!)

Thursday 8: 2 drops (both duplicates though, but that's another problem)

    Friday 9: no drop

    Tuesday 13: no drop

    Wednesday 14: drop worked

If anyone can figure out a pattern I'd love to hear it, because I genuinely cannot understand what's different each time. I had the game running on Friday 9 and went into the Devstream Relay, did that somehow make the script not notice I was also on Twitch watching the stream? I was also in-game during the stream on Tuesday 13, and specifically made sure to NOT be in game on Wednesday 14. But if it was truly being in-game during stream that cancels out the drop, many, MANY people would've had the same problem on Friday 13, and I haven't seen any complaints (not to mention that in the past, eg at Tennocon, I had both Twitch stream and game running simultaneously and got drops just fine).

It might be that Twitch just randomly stops noticing someone is on for drop purposes, but if there's something we're doing (or not doing) that's causing some drops to miss, then that's something easy to fix on our end, provided we can narrow it down to a specific behaviour. I've noticed that Twitch sometimes switches your status to "away" (I never did understand what makes it do this, or how to get back to the regular green "online" without reloading the entire webpage), but I'm not yet sure if this correlates with the times I missed a drop.

Turn off cellular data, open the app, turn on cellular data again, login. It seems to have something to do with viewing the “news” tab. Avoid that at all costs.

I was starting to suspect this might have something to do with data coming to the app, rather than the install of the app itself, since there was no update when it stopped working, one of the news items crashing it would explain it for sure. I don't know how you managed to bypass it though. Turning off data before starting the app didn't help, as soon as data comes back on the first thing that app does is try to load the news again. Trying to get into another menu (Inventory, Activities, Arsenal, whatever) doesn't work, the app crashes before it has time to respond to my presses even if I'm spam-pressing the buttons.

  21. Can confirm, started happening to me yesterday on an iPhone SE (the old one) running iOS 13.7. Nothing was changed with the phone, and I had used it with no problem just a few hours before the problem started. It crashed while loading the app, quite quickly. Deleting the app completely, restarting iOS, then reinstalling the app did not fix it, though it now makes it as long as putting up the "swipe right to start" screen (that you get on a first use), though the screen is up for less than a second before it crashes.

  22. I think I mentioned a few weeks ago that drops had been very erratic for me. But since I said that, they've been very consistent and I got every single one of them, including yesterday's.

Got on quite early during the stream today (~7min in), status marked as Online in Twitch, everything seemed to work exactly as yesterday, but no drop.

I'm really not sure what makes it not work when it happens anymore. I'm not too sad about today's, but I always worry it'll happen to me again when something I really want is offered.

still no fix for the ultimate fishing bug which you cannot unstuck out of or do anything (except for aborting the mission)

I managed to get out of this one by waiting for something to come and kill me. Glass enemies seem to be particularly good at this since the glass fissure will usually spawn not too far from you. It's not ideal but at least it's one way to salvage all your hard-earned fish until this gets fixed.
