  1. Well let's see...spread and range could probably be done together. You'd be able to judge the spread by accounting for how many pellets hit at x range would be my guess. Probably be best to do it without Multishot so you're not getting differing results almost every other shot though e,e

  2. "Half as good as me" applies to skill as well. I can take an unsupercharged junk weapon, and still end up ranked highest if I were playing with supercharged newbies. This isn't a game where gear makes everything 100% like some are. Plus it's PvE. Who the F*** cares if you're not owning everything in sight?

  3. Adding in an incredibly rough sketch. I'm at work, and my drawing skills suck...so here's this e.e

    Click this cuz I don't want to post the ugliness here D;

    So yeah. I tried to keep an organic feel to it as well as showing off steel....just lost the design completely after I left the hips though (worked from the ground up). If anyone is willing to do a rework of it, I'll love you forever. If not, I'll con persuade somebody to give Rook a much better avatar than....well, than what I did ._.

  4. I'd actually enjoy your system Endrance, however we'd have to wait to wait til a point where the game really needed a good credit sink before something like that would come around. Otherwise people would cry that "It's too expensive to do it even though I'm not forced to actually be using my credits on this" *Stares at old fusion costs*

  5. We really doing another "We need one of the few items that make the devs any money to be totally free cuz I don't feel like shilling out $5 for a game I apparently enjoy enough to want to maximize and obtain errythang said game has" thread?

    Look guys: There's no backers for DE. There's no in-game nor on-site advertisements. What DE has to work with comes from the players. So as much as I can understand your argument from the player's perspective, I can also appreciate the argument to be made for the Devs. Heck, if I was part of the team you'd probably actually get charged for more things simply because of how lawl easy it is to attain many of their "formerly platinum only" items.

    Skins, slots, and colors. Only things you couldn't acquire in-game if you worked on it. And DE even budged on that and included skins in the Alerts now. There's a saying about being given an inch and trying to take a mile, and that's what all of these threads more or less devolve into.

  6. Going to touch on a few things that have been said here, so bear with all the quoting.

    Making Warframes isnt just something you can do; Its a quest, a mission.

    A very tedious one.

    Its gotta be easier. Its like locking a class in TF2 unless you pay or get a bunch of stuff to pay and make it in game. And then you wait for ten bazillion years for all the blueprints to build into pieces that take another bazillion years to get that Warframe. Im still waiting on a new one I started grinding for like two weeks ago to finish tonight.

    We'll stop here for the moment. Now, I highly doubt you've been sitting at your computer for two straight weeks farming this. The total amount of time has probably been less than 3 days. Which, when you consider how long it takes to find "rare" objects in other games, really isn't that bad.

    Then you buy more Warframe slots...sheesh.

    Yeah the slots are cheap but I thought you could make anything in this game, IN the game. And if there is a way in game then plz tell cause im dumb then.

    Apart from the obvious of you already stating that you're dumb, we often warn players that Slots, Skins, and colors are the only things not attainable in-game. And what has DE done in response to this? They've added skins to the Alerts now. Seriously, they're shilling out enough "paid content" for freeloaders (not implying that you are one, this is just the term I use in general for those players that constantly cry that they aren't being handed enough in a F2P game. Again, not accusing you of being such....yet anyway. I still haven't finished your post).

    And your dumb for not expecting me to be dumb.

    NO YOU! D;

    Not saying "mak evraythang evar freae becze freay to plai" but its irritating to make one damn Warframe, let alone more than that. F2P like TF2 and DOTA2 make money off of cosmetics. Not unlocking the characters and classes. Want to play Heavy or Scout or some new guy in DOTA2? Pay me you dirty peasant.

    That kind of mentality is not acceptable for this learning environment. Please see me after class. Or use this list to improve making Warframes so its fun!

    (What a strange concept...)

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but those games also host advertisements all over their site. Now look at this site. 0 advertisements. That's right folks. DE is receiving no support for this other than what you're throwing at them. So not only are they freeing your gameplay/forum browsing from useless adds, but they're also giving you a majority of their irl currency items for FREE.

    Make:

    1) Getting the stuff to make Warframes easier, or atleast the blueprints easier/drop consistantly.

    If you want an incentive to make people spend their hard earned platinum on, then make bluprints and resources that make the Warframe count towards a discount to finish the thing.

    You should be making money on the cosmetic items anyways. If not, you arent making enough silly hats.

    Read the above post. I won't come back to this one other than to say that all drops are RNG. So if you're not getting something, you're not offering the correct sacrifices to the RNG gods.

    2) Make Warframes build faster, not taking minimum 4 days, not counting the grinding. Takes like a month to get a new class in this game without paying. That just plain whomps. And so does paying to rush.

    Pay for convenience. You can CHOOSE to pay and get things now, or you can choose not to and suffer the wait for it. Plus it's not like the game locks you in the Foundry while something is building. There's nothing stopping you from continuing playing, exiting out of the game and playing something else, or even just taking a break while you wait for your item to finish being completed. Also, the minimum it takes is 3.5 days. Not 4. And it's nowhere near a month to acquire a frame. Hyperbole only works when the exaggeration HELPS your argument, not damages it.

    3) No Warframe (Or weapon for that matter) inventory limits or make the ability to expand obvious or possible without spending cash dollars. I dont want to have to spent like $5 just to load platinum into my account to get more room.

    This is the freeloader attitude I referred to earlier. The "I didn't pay like everyone else, but since this is a Free To Play game I deserve the same exact things" attitude. Let me ask you a question: If you worked in 100+ degree weather every day til you dropped and I sat in the shade being fed grapes, would you be upset if we received the same pay for it? Of course you would. Why? Because you're commiting a service that I am not, yet I still gain the same benefits from it that you do. Same with those paying here. Wanting to be handed the things that the rest of us had to buy is, in my honest opinion, an idiotic and ludicrous request.

    I also fail to see how some players that apparently enjoy this game to the extent where they feel the need to collect every Warframe and weapon available.....can't seem to part with $5. Unless you're poor or something, which then begs the question of how you have reliable access to the internet and whatnot.

    I played 1 hour yesterday and got all 3 blueprints and started crafting them. 12 hours later, boil them together and wait for 3 days.

    Taking a month woot?

    The exaggeration was strong in that post methinks. Aside from Banshee, I doubt that it's taken me much over a day to farm for any Warframe....and that's including my infamous 16 hour naps that happen sometimes e.e

    You start the game with 50 platinum.

    Instead of buying "crap" that can be crafted ingame, use it to buy inventory slots.

    If not mistaked, 20 platinum gives you an extra warframe slot.

    The worst part about this statement....is that it's constantly spammed in region (at least in NA-East). Literally anytime you read "Hey I'm new" you'll read "Only spend plat on slots" not even 30 seconds later.

    If I'm not mistaken it's 20 plat for a Warframe slot, and 12 for 2 Weapon slots.

    I'm waiting for Rhino, Saryn and Nyx to finish atm (3 days are so long D:). And I just need more Rubedo and Credits for the other warframes. I don't think they should change much.. maybe an easier way to get the Banshee blueprints.

    Meh, it could've been much worse. They could've made additional Warframes only purchaseable via platinum, which come to think of it is probably how a few certain companies wouldn't handled it (I won't say any names, but one rhymes with the name of a member of the A Team that was portrayed rather horrendously by Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and the other rhymes with "Daprom").

    To the issue of Banshee, I believe they're going to release a Europa boss to help deal with that eventually.

  7. Yes. Let's eliminate two skills simply because you dislike the way some people use them. Because there's absolutely no tactical value to these skills whatsoever and they can only be used for trolling purposes. Let's get rid of them immediately. Should DE refuse our demands, we shall begin the witch hunt!!

    -.- Seriously

  8. Yea it should definitely fit the theme, and a barrier probably wouldn't.. Which brings me back to a small bubble-kinda thing :p but still not quite fitting idk. Unless you wanna redo the theme in some way

    I maybe...change Fortress into an Absorb-esque skill, and use Castling to do the pull and a % damage decrease in a radius around him? I'd have to raise the costs on them both probably (60 and probably 45-50ish, respectively) but it should be doable.

    EDIT: That's actually a much better idea than what I was going to do, and a lot less work :D

    The stats, as I've got them now, are: 150, 75, 175, 150, 20.00, .45. I'm still trying to keep him in the roll of the tank, and (I believe) that .45 is currently the slowest available Frame (Rhino with Thrak helmet).

  9. Dude...I don't even know how to block with the existing mechanics :P

    It's a very small hitbox. Set your keybinding to an easily accessible key/button (I like to use V), then get the incoming projectile/melee attack centered in your screen.

  10. Because people don't complain already right? Seriously, adding a shield just solidifies the tank role. There's really nothing wrong with doing it. The argument "Ninjas don't use shields" gets thrown out the moment they're waving battleaxes and warhammers around. The "it'd be hard to do" is broken depending on if they implement it as a dual weapon combo (Shield + whatever weapon). The "it'd be EZ mode" gets thrown out by the fact that this game already is with the right gear.

    There's literally no argument to present that makes it to where "Shields are a bad idea!!!" is viable.

  11. Reading the skills properly, I can see you have 1 tiny issues with Castling. As you mentioned, enemies from behind will be able to fire at the ally meant to be protected. I can also imagine it being a grief skill if people can't move out for the duration. My suggestion is that instead of blocking fire with his body (or something like this), pulling an ally would apply a small bubble much like Frost's Snow Globe skill. A small bubble that will block bullets, while also allowing the ally to move outside this field.

    Yeah. I've been talking in-game about it a bit. Do like a small barrier if you will around the target? I'd need to find a way to do a theme with it ._.;

  12. Since Rhino gets 150 with .5 Speed and Rook is at .25 atm, I'd need to do all stats at 150 to even that out ._. So yeah, definite rework is in order. I'll probably drop him just under Rhino's speed, up the shield recovery some, and drop him at ~75 power.

    I'll wait til I get some extra Ability input til I go through the process of finalizing the edit. Too lazy to continuously edit stuffs e.e

  13. Comparing his stats to how I think you want him to be like in a battle, I think you overdid the balance resulting in nerfing. His run speed seems to be a huge handicap, and calls for stats that would make up for it

    I was going off remembering how slow Rhino was when I did that e.e Like I said, I was going from the furthest from OP as possible. I'll probably jump up either his speed so he's at least close to being on par with Rhino and add in like ~15 Health or something along with the 25 Power, or something along those lines. Dunno ._.

  14. You know, text-only suggestions happen to be quite a lot more readable.

    Yes, but I'm all about making people do extra work.

    how about a ranged only attack, say 50 meters, like cannon fire from a fortress? too OP maybe

    Could turn Fortress into a semi absorb-ish thing where you do a straight line puncture shot with all the damage you've absorbed after? Turn it into the ulti.

    Edit: Hrmm...guess I'll do the 25 power thing and throw in some extra tank? I'll leave all that up to you guys though, since I've already nerfed my poor guy to hell and back ._.;

  15. I prefer the Izuna drop

    but that wouldn't be very stealthy XD

    Cuz that suplex is just stealth of steroids. At least with the Izuna Drop you'd have a reason to be OHKOing everything. I can't even see the German suplex taking out SOME enemies (waits for someone to do it on a Moa).
