  1. Those were just my thoughts on it anyway. Overall, I like the concept of it. Seems like we've had quite a few good designs lately. I'm glad to see that our community can provide balanced warframes instead of the usual "LOL I MADE HIM SO HE MUST BE OP" suggestions you generally see ^~^;

  2. Eh, I can understand the argument for wanting it done. Though there's also the potential for it to be abused. i.e Say I was in a mission with a bunch of newbies who didn't know that you can't technically "Steal all the kills and exp". They'd probably try to kick me just so they'd be able to do something. Then I'd lose out on all my progress and whatnot, simply because some players didn't understand the mechanics of the game.

  3. I can't fault rushers because I do it all the time. My main reason because....I've leveled multiple warframes/weapons to 30. So when I play an EZ mode mission, I'm not there to break everything and do all that jazz. I'm there to kill what pops up in front of me, grab my affinity for it, and head out so I can go on to the next mission that my Warframe at that time can handle. There are also times when it's necessary for me to do this in Online play, simply because the Warframe I'm using at the time can't handle it solo.

    So as much as I understand the issue of "Don't rush", I also understand the reasoning behind why many do it.

  4. Strun is the highest damage per shot shotgun available coupled with the lowest RoF (and the largest spread I believe). Boar is the lowest damage per shot shotgun with the highest RoF (medium sized cone iirc).

    Make your choice from that. You can't really say "Oh well this one is 1000000000000x better because xxx reason" simply because you can take even a horribad weapon and turn it God mode with the right mods.

  5. I understand where you're coming from in your argument. You're saying that "Well I can already do it with a weapon, so a shield is essentially no different." The problem I see with it, and others may not share my view on it, is that the hitboxes would work different unless the shield they gave us was so small it'd make no difference at all. Think of blocking with dual heat swords then compare it to blocking with a Grineer shield. The shield is larger and therefore would protect with a wider hitbox. So unless you gave a shield that offered little to no protection (we're talking like...less than the size of a Buckler here), the shield would create an imbalance in blocking.

  6. The hitbox on a shield is different from that of a sword though. Hence why I said you'd have to make it balanced if you want it implemented. I'll ask it like this: if you had a choice of vehicles to hide behind when some maniac went on a shooting spree, would you hide behind the minivan or the motorcycle?

    Logic dictates that you'd be behind the largest object possible, simply because it offers more protection. Same with a shield here. Unless you made the shield to where it was so small that it wouldn't make any form of difference, you'd need to balance it. Such as "Shield absorbs x amount of damage before it breaks/must be regenerated (the former being for a metallic shield ala Grineer, the latter moreso like the Shields from the Phantasy Star verse). Heck, you could even do it to where a metallic shield was large ala Grineer, while the energy shield was smaller (this being mainly because in my example the metallic shield would become broken after it sustained too much damage, hence why it offers more protection to begin with). It would encourage you to not just hold the block button to win through everything. You'd have to know when you needed to block and when you didn't need to, else you risk losing your shield.

    It has less to do with being a ninja and more about balance issues. Imagine it like this: If we were given shields a fellow Shield bearer and myself could just sit in choke points on a Defense mission, thus eliminating ~50% of enemy fire coming from that direction. It's not so much "SHIELDS AREN'T NINJA ENOUGH YOU FOOLS!!!" as it is that I don't want the game to be broken by implementing them. As I said earlier, from a personal standpoint I'd love to see them implemented.

  8. The Alerts run on a timer iirc. I believe it's 45 minutes from the beginning of another. So say a fifty minute long alert pops up. The timer would start, and ~five minutes before the first alert ended another would begin.

    As I said this is only from what I'm recalling. I'm not actually in-game atm to verify it. I believe Smith0rz would know though. He's who I learned about the timer thing from. Though the actual timing of it may be off seeing as how my memory is derpy sometimes e.e

    Plus we can parry bullets back at enemies ala Jedi style. I wouldn't mind actual shields on some characters, simply because it would further solidy their roles as tanks. However such things need to be considered seeing as how the AI need those Shield Lancers to hide behind. If players did it well....imagine two shield-bearing Rhinos walking down a small corridor with a Nyx and Mag behind them e.e

    It's again a good idea. I would particularly enjoy it seeing as how it solidifies the "I'm the tank, now sit back and let me do my job" role. However as I said in my other response (the quote), you've got to think about it to make it balanced as well.

  11. 2 would probably need to be reworked a bit. Quick teleportation skills (such as Blade Storm) can sometimes result in being bugged.

    For the Alt 4th you may want it to be closer to Absorb, but with the Crush stasis when the effect ends. i.e You activate Mirror House and the enemies start blasting away at you (your allies can as well, as we do with Absorb >:) ) then when the absorb part has reached it's end the house crashes down around the enemies. Just a thought. I say this only because when I imagine "Mirror" the first thing I think of is to reflect. In this case, damage.

  12. I semi-like the idea, but there have to be boundaries set on some skills as well. The 2 and 3 mainly. You've got to balance them where they are extremely effective against mook soldiers, but not so much against bosses. Otherwise they'll just get a quick nerf, as Radial Disarm did.

    As far as looks, I'll do a quick search. The name "Warden" reminds me of an armor set from Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires, which I think would fit your frame quite nicely. Obviously changes would have to be made, but a bit I'd like to see kept would be the helmet. It's your standard battle helmet but the crest is shaped into a Rook chesspiece-esque form. If you've ever seen one or looked at a castle and noticed the battlements, you'll know what I'm talking about.

  13. I've said it time and time again: "There are no problems in-game that cannot be solved via excessive application of the Fragor."This is the issue that the devs are having atm. See, they're doing SMART things. Checking coding, examining hardware, etc etc. What they really need to do is just take a minute, step outside, then come back inside and Fragor errythang. It'll solve all the problems.

  14. I believe this is akin to the "Diagma Death" frame that was posted as an April Fool's joke on the wiki. It'd be a death inspired Warframe and all. I'd personally love to see it come to fruition. When I first read it on the wiki and started talking about it in region, we all got extremely excited about it and started brainstorming what all it could do and what sort of niche it would fill. We were disappointed after about 80+ Titania runs and not seeing the chassis end up dropping as the wiki article said it would Q~Q

  15. Actually, I don't expect that devs will give us anything. I posted this to check the reaction of Warframe community. I don't think devs will even read all that stuff that we suggest down here.

    The devs actually do bother reading things....hence why we get so many hotfixes -.-

    Yeah, one guy was irritated; LITERALLY EVERY OTHER PERSON WAS THANKING THE DEVS. Wow community, calm down, no need to be so upset.

  16. It doesn't increase their fire rate at all -.- It increases your own reaction time.

    It's not physically possible to be able to click say..lmb enough times to use some weapons to their fullest potential. Same as a Fang with maxed Fury. So you set the binding to the mouse wheel to allow you to do such. It's not "breaking the game" so much as "surpassing your own mortal limits".

  17. Maybe they should inform us, I don't know say on the launcher screen that the game is broken or stop people from logging on till they can "Fix" their S#$T. I'm not trying to be "that guy" but it is abit unfair to expect a player to come check the News & Announcements forum every time before they log-in and play.

    So I'm guessing we can expect Roll backs also?

    Sorry that you can't be bothered to check the forum after your log-in has failed 4+ times. It must be such a burden to do something as simple as typing in a eight letters followed by .com just so you can check on the status of the game.

    Not to be rude, but...who exactly is being hard on the devs? All I'm seeing is support.

    Well, virtually all, anyway, but still.

    If you'd be so kind as to turn your attention back to page 15, and let much hilarity ensue.

    First of all, I want to appreciate devs for the honesty and for this great game. But I think its kind of unfair that I missed Rifle Amp artifact because of server problems. Its hard to get certain artifact because of the randomness in "?" alerts and login rewards. And now i missed the much-needed artifact. So maybe devs can restart all the "?" alerts that took place when the servers were out? There were no Orokin Reactor/Catalyst so i think it wouldn't give some players unfair reward. Besides, i think i'm not the only one who missed that Rifle Amp. Don't tell me that I can get it in the future. Sure, I can. But it would be great if the devs could give us another chance to get get. Lets call it the apologize for the servers blackout.

    Again, I don't really think that we need anything for the servers going down. The only people who I expect will see anything would be those that had Boosters running, and even then it'll probably just be a reroll on the item to set it back to it's time before the servers started acting up.

    Too much people complaining about a bugged Terminus alert (yielding a ? reward), some minutes ago.

    In-game Region chat was hilarious.

    You'd think people would have learned by now that Terminus = bugged ._.

    True, but I've already been calling it AkBronco for about 2 weeks. I'd have to go through and print new t-shirts and picket signs if we changed names now D;

  19. You should probably check the forums before writing it off as a bug. The whole "Server Issues April 6th Ongoing" discussion in the News & Announcements section seems like a logical place to start.
