  1. Just tried out AMD's Frame generation on Warframe in the preview driver. AMD users can enable frame generation in the driver side.

So i've maxed out the games gfx and it runs fine, goes from without frame gen enabled 94fps-144 (averages around 110).

With Frame generation on i get 220-290fps. Pretty impressive and smooth. The latency hit is only 5-10ms. Which keeps frame times still around the same levels i play VR games at. So i wouldnt call it anywhere near a problem.

Ofcourse the problem with frame generation is the lower your base fps the larger hit to image quality and latency you suffer. It would be pretty bad at sub 40fps i think.

  2. Last time i saved money by buying via local distributors.

Did you check through other local MMO style merchants? LIke Paysafecard? I used to buy through Molpoints (karmacoins, paybysafe, google, paypal) as they got better rates for some regions.

I think steam, and warframes main distributor who sets up transactions on their websites have increased their markup. I've noticed this across the web in the past year where allot of prices have risen.

  3. So having switched to a new higher resolution 34 inch, 10bit, VA, (6ms, 144hz) computer monitor. I've been running settings fully cranked to try and trigger some of these exagerated brightness/darkness transitions that was obvious on my older TN, 24 inch (144hz, 1ms). The transitions are'nt as extreme but its still there.

Solution for me is disabling Depth of Field and Bloom 50%. Or enabling everything (including motion blur) which does help slightly reduce the exagerated bright flashes.

I read about patches and hotfixes... still no reaction from DE and I haven't checked ingame yet to check for myself.

    Was something done about this?

They did make some changes in one of the updates post 29.0 But didnt actually bring back the autoexposure setting. Not sure if they fixed the problem but i would ask people to just go in and check just to report the data to DE. As they might be looking for the data about whether the changes they made in one of those updates worked.

Also might be worthy to take note of other information, like what all the graphic settings and if you have deferred rendering on or off.

  5. Comparing peoples screenshots across my various mobile phones AMOLED, IPS, TN etc. I see very little improvement in how the screenshots above look.

Perhaps a reference page in the graphics options to allow us to tune our gamma, contrast and brightness better? (similar to how many horror games have a brightness calibration display color bars).

  6. HDR cant be enabled with a custom/user set "dynamic resolution" either :(. Anyways my current settings are working fine with the only apparent issue is warframes looking very illuminated at certain times and in certain scenery such as:

    • Login screen and star chart
    • Mars/Phobos desert tileset

Additionally brightness and darkness fluctuates so aggresively when i enable bloom even at the lowest intensity possible. Its very evident in every section of the game outside the menus.

Playing with certain weapons e.g. the Staticor means blinding yourself for seconds with every shot.

Or doing anything in orb vallis when youre surrounded by enemies spamming aoe's. Particularly Orb bosses. +edit and Thermia Fractures, though i havent done thermia fractures lately to verify if its still an issue.

  7. I remember trying to get adaptive exposure to work in the past and could'nt. Now i just done some testing and found.

The game will produce some blindingly bright scenes now if i enable bloom. The way the brightness transitions too is dizzying

The game is unplayable with some of these graphic combinations.

My Monitor btw is not something from 2008 it was designed in 2016 and released in 2017 (i bought it in early 2018).

I have a Switch and I've tried Warframe on it with my account transfer and all my stuff and everything and I just can't imagine using that to play Warframe as a main account.

I enjoyed it on the switch but because the grindy progress of the game and how PC is months ahead theres absolutely no desire to play 2 different warframe accounts.

  9. I think the game is peaking right now and that it hasnt peaked yet.

Theres allot of things i miss from the past game and allot that i dont like right now. But the game has allot of variety and i can atleast ignore the stuff i dont like. While they've kept and left allot of stuff unchanged that i do like.

I have my complaints, pacing, grind and just some drawn out design choices. Theres things i miss like grineer speaking smack to each other "hey leave my mother out of this", and the lotus making announcements on the PA system in Corpus missions "Please keep your hands inside the gaurd rails at all times". Also remember when you could load into maps that had no widely spread lighting. I can go on but my point has been made.

Those things i mentioned in the last paragraph were fantastic 'world builders' for the story. Creating a unique langauge for each faction i think was a mistake. Along with removing fractured glass in the new Corpus tiles and many of the other little things that gave the game in a relatable and realistic world.

It was a YT video showing Baro's Inventory for the people who prefer that vs Wiki, Logging in, etc. Having posted in General, I wonder if it was deleted for "self promotion" reasons, but does this mean I should avoid posting it in Fan Zone as well? The intent was to enrich the community by adding it as a resource. I can refrain from such posts in the future, but I wanted a more clear answer first. Hopefully.

I report posts like that if they dont have some type of write up to promote discussion or debate along with the video.

Just simply posting videos in forum threads alone without context or little more than a heading annoy the hell out of me.

Wow, this is the opposite for me. I can't hit them with the TranQ rifle for sh--. If I'm deliberately doing Sawgaws, Ivara is a must for me.

That is weird... My experience was most of my problems stopped the moment i switch to a warframe that is not Ivara. (even just getting in my archwing).

Theres still some massive bugs with hunting in general but i havent spotted any issues that are 'exclusive' to Sawgaws.

  12. Im doing Sawgaws consistently.. (have been for the past year now.) got quite allot of fluffies in my ship from my hunts.

Really they only really bug out if you hit them with warframe abilities. If you just rely on the tranq and any stealth frame you can get perfect captures.

Only thing that bugs me about them is spotting them is very annoying and the limited range of the codex/simaris scanner makes spotting them near impossible sometimes.

  13. I wonder what Warframe would be like if all mission objectives and hackable objects were destructable by the players/warframes own weapons and abilities? It worked well on Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64.

    • Clever enemy placement (setup posts in some tilesets specifically for snipers. with 100-200 metres+ range).
    • Throw unpredictable targets into missions that effect the flow of battle. (In goldeneyes case that was scientists or civilians. hostages that discouraged spray and pray).
    • Shoot gas pipes or fuel barrels that flood the mission with toxic gas or combustable fuel.
    • Make use of things like Turning off the lights, adding fog or screen distortion effects. To hide the true location of enemies.
    • Suppression fire alone can be effective.
    • Security cameras that were much more functional.
    • Objectives and hackable computer terminals being destructable by players own weapons.

I liked the Jupiter rework with all the trapdoors.

  14. I cant see it being a viable development option. Given how even Nvidia are still making/selling gaming branded GPU's that dont support RTX. This type of technology needs to be mainstream or wonderfully easy to implement. RTX, DLSS right now is neither of those things.

After witnessing how disruptive RTX development was to Kunos and the vast strides they made with thier game as soon as they dropped it. Im against it being added in the near future.

  15. Events are always the basis for rallying freinds or new people to the game. Atleast its the most successful tool for me to bring new or old people into MMO's through the years.

Mastery locks on events. Just tells those friends this isnt worth the effort. Because value of time is'nt equal to the required time investment just to meet entry requirements.

    • ME: "Hey come to warframe theres this cool new item."
    • Friend : "Nah i cant be bothered theres just too much to do."

Events should be an oppurtunity for time restrained people to catchup. But it becomes a hurdle if they're just so far behind.

I have a good example of this recently with Blade and soul. Me and my friends were absolutely done with that game. But the recent update gave out a god teir endgame weapon for just logging in on our main characters. That got us playing again because the grind and time investment simply to get that weapon in the past was far too unreasonable.
