If you claim it in Twitch the next time you log in to your game, it will appear whether your Twitch and game account are linked.
You may need to unlink them and relink them, once linked correctly you'll receive the drop/s.

No idea if it's a bug or not does sound funny though.
That reminds me of another funny one I was doing Railjack missions in the early days of Raljack and a Wukong player joined and after a few missions with their clone deployed then they left suddenly.
What was funny about that was the clone stayed and did the next two missions with me before just popping off the ship, and no it wasn't the actual player they had already left and the name on the screen vanished as well, leaving me and the clone.
I just put it down to a bug or massive lag.
