So is necroing 3 month old threads that need no further input, but here we are.

    Lol holy crap ! It's a necro thread ?

I mean it's a topic that should be stickied honestly as this comes up too often ,and web masters are notoriously lazy .

  2. OP is just a cry baby because he's trying to rip people off. Those prices on WM are set by players ,and it's idiots like you that think any random piece of trash is worth 1000 p that's ruining trade . So I'm saying trade I'd better off without you and your scamming friends .

Gamers are hypocrites! " Game companies are greedy!" " Games are expensive" "Game companies games are pay to win " , and on and on ,but when gamers set prices ,they're far and above the worst priced content from even EA .

I would like to report this site know as Warframe Market. It shows price that are way lower then the should be and even states that it's not supported by you guys at DE yet players on PC, Xbox one and PS4 seem to use it and then tie in these price in game and us that know the prices you guy have set for the items get either ripped off or get no sales at all cause of this site https://warframe.market/
In all honesty it makes me and many others not even want to bother with trade chat. I think that you guys should put out a site that is supported by you and set prices cause if not this site will continue to ruin Trade Chat and I'll just use my platinum that I do get for In-game stuff and will not use it to buy Prime Warframes, weaponry or mods that others farm or earn from sorties (revins) or any other things that can be offered

  3. These type of threads are pointless and make no sense. The changes are already in the works, and making hyperbole over something DE already has plans for is silly.

It is worth talking about what's going to change under 2.5/3.0, or at the very least discussing what we think will change.

I think a better question is, do you want to become a player who defines themselves some capricious set of parameters and uses those to prop up or shut down whatever opinion they choose? If you have something worthwhile to say it doesn't matter how long or how hard you've played the game and it can certainly stand on it's own without needing to be qualified.

So I would worry less about being considered a veteran and more about just enjoying the game you love.

Sank you siiirr.  I am in fotal agregeous with you, nubs up.  😁

First, Using a controller isn't a nuisance.  That is only your opinion.

Second, If you really want that type of feature for Chroma, then it would more than likely work like Ivara's Quiver or Vauban's Minelayer.  Both of which work very well on controllers.

Open your mind and be creative instead of complaining about something that isn't really effecting you because you aren't being creative enough.

    Aaaahahahahaha!  Here comes the BOOM!

Us veteran players of the fighting 41st, who know everything about warframe, do hereby decree that controllers... Blah, blah, etc.. etc...

    Baahahaha!

You couldn't just leave them up at their current builds, instead you have decided to delete them, oh well (sigh) feel bad for content creators that run warframe raids as the main attraction of their channels. Hope you guys can find something new to cover and prosper with new content.

    What?  Lol

The game needs to change, things evolve.  Games that stay static die, and warframe is way past due for a successor.

Slash needs no changes. Impact and Puncture need to step it up. I am sorry, but DE should stop nerfing everything and actually buff the bad things.

I'm not sure that's not what's going on?

The only content "paywall" its tecnogen in Pc (and some cosmetic in prime access) ... If you think that other things are paywall , you dont know the definition of paywall .

Paywall is pay to play.  You HAVE to pay to progress, don't give me this free crap or grind for this etc,  because you know when first starting those freebies are not attainable to new players, unless people happen to give you stuff which kind of ruins the experience of getting things yourself.

i dont agree with this at all.  Warframe has one of the best FTP models out there currently - far, far better than mobile games.  And the reason players from other games are here is either a, there is no content in those games or b, the monetization model of those games is far more toxic. destiny fits both of those categories but, i digress.

Part of the appeal of warframe, for me, is the complexity. I was absolutely one of those players that bought a frame with my starter plat.  Then i saw i needed slots for frames and weapons.  Then i saw i needed to buy those with the premium currency.  Then i read up on how to get that currency and how to farm weapons and frames.  Then i farmed Lith capture/exterminate missions to get the pieces to get the plat to buy the slots to farm more frames and weapons (sounds like the 'why did the woman swallow the fly' nursery rhyme but, again, i digress).  if i hadn't spend that starter plat on a frame, i wouldnt have started to research the game mechanics and, for me, i wouldnt have stuck around.  That mistake made the game more worthwewhile for me in the long run.  When i started, i tried to equate frames to classes in other games which doesnt really work.  spending the time to learn about how it all works is what kept me around.

There are absolutely things that can be done in the new player experience to more clearly articulate what can be gotten, when, how, and the best way to do so.  I dont disagree with this at all.  However, its important to note that the best way for one player is vastly different than the best way for another. Since ti is subjective, the best DE can do is provide information and let the player decide.  Embedding a browser that loads a resource page with links to the wiki, forums, support, etc (and prohibits other sites) would be a great way to help with this (among other things).

As an example - I would rather farm miscellaneous prime parts while going for a specific part, then sell those parts and buy what i am after (be it a frame, mod or a specific BP or part) than continue to grind for that one part.  Others are opposite - they would rather grind until they get exactly what they want and then sell off the extras.  I bought Nidus after farming for him and having really bad luck getting drops so, i sold prime parts and bought him. that flexibility for this game to be different for everyone is part of the appeal.

The issue is more what players expect and what they are prepared to do on their own. From the most vocal players (see "i was banned for no reason" and "please nerf" threads) it seems that they arent prepared to do much.

I have region and trade chat turned off (or at least am always on another tab) because most spam with questions that have just been answered and arent willing to complete the cinematic before asking someone to outline exactly what they need to do for the mission.  They arent willing to look for where mods drop or resources can be found.  they are used to a game holding their hand, walking them over to a node, and having them collect the material.  And thats fine - i have no issue with those games.  if that is fun for you, knock yourself out.  if you want to go kill 10 rats and then go mine 10 ore, and then go kill 10 boars, knock yourself out.

That isnt this game and I am very glad it isnt

To be clear, im not saying that i dont want new players.  i do.  new players bring new ideas and help keep the community alive.  it is just important to keep in mind that this game isnt for everyone and, since it requires effort on the player's part, not everyone will stay.

On topic, DE doesnt have to give starter platinum to new players but they do.  it allows the player to figure out what to spend it on.  the player becomes the 5 year old in the toy store with their allowance trying to decide what to buy.  They will make mistakes and buy something they shouldnt (resources) and figure out what the game will be for them and how to play it to fit their style.  or they will leave.  And thats no different than any other game.

There's absolutely no difference from what DE has done and freemium tablet games at all.  You can play the majority of tablet games free for quite some time, but obviously like DE they'd like to get paid.  A stable income is a great thing for keeping games like this alive.

With that being said I do not agree with the way DE goes about certain aspects as I noted in the previous post.  You can disagree all you want, and make 200 page posts, but the fact is DE uses the exact same freemium model as Phone/ Tablet games.

Play said game for a period,  pay to continue, and unless you plan on deleting every frame, weapon etc, you have no choice but to buy over priced plat.  Let's not mention freebies because that's not part of the system.

So what exactly is different from any freemium game here?

With that said warframe is a very good game,  but all DE did was shift the very same pay lock system that got trashed from the get go,  to something less inconspicuous.  Personally I don't mind paying,  but don't make it so you have to either delete content you worked hard for, or pay to open slots, reactors, weapon upgrades etc.

Yes, but the idea behind this is we dont want anybody leaving the game feeling like they were taken advantage of. The more that stay & spend money (happily) the more the game gets fueled.

I agree,  and I feel there's still too much of this aspect to warframe. My personal opinion is DE still has too much of the game paywalled with Orikin parts, slots and random bs they oddly make people pay for.

The game is creeping up on freemium tablet /phone games.  The very games I also consider to be the trash of the industry.  DE also has a lot of recent ex Destiny players who are savvy to this.

Because it was VERY clunky before it's rework, and even after said rework, its still a pain to play. Might be easier to play with controller though, since you have joysticks.

Nooooo,  not easier with controller.  I get the limits of the engine most likely so I'm not complaining too much.  I just don't find the missions fun most of the time.

  12. I do wish there were more levels throughout warframe you had the option to stealth.  It could even be a flipside mission like when an invasion or whatever is on a tile and you pick A or B etc.  Plus you could add bonuses and modifiers for picking stealth vs run and gun.
